The Lighthouse Keeper tells the story of a lighthouse keeper who has been doing the job for 20 years. Follow his story through a day on the job. Listen to his story and get to know what it is like as a lighthouse keeper.

The Lighthouse Keeper takes about 10-15 minutes to complete one run of the story, which is narrated by the main character. There was little interaction in the game, and there were only two times when I needed to do something in the game. This was more of an experience-the-story kind-of-game. The story that was being told was interesting in the sense that I wanted to know more, but it was one of those stories where I thought, “oh that’s all, that’s the story?”

The visuals in the game were the weakest area, but for a 15-minute game, I could deal with it. I am not saying they were bad, but I feel like there was four, maybe five moving images that would repeat now and then, and that was it. Audio, on the other hand, was top-notch, and if this game didn’t have two sections that needed interaction, I would recommend playing the game as an audio novel, but alas, there were two interaction sections in the game. The two times I had to interact in the game was almost pointless, but it did change the ending I obtained at the end.

I played The Lighthouse Keeper twice and earned both endings in the game with a total completion time of 20 minutes. I enjoyed the story but could’ve done without the visuals.

Lighthouse Keeper is available on Steam.
