    After all the years this game is still one of the best games in it's genre. You can still feel all the craziness, jump scares and tension you felt back in the days.

    This game makes COD Zombies look like crap. The Zombies in this game are fun as hell to fight. There are special infected that will beat your ass down. But that doesn't mean the common infected are push overs. This game is better than other co-op games because the co-op actually affects gameplay rather than "I don't know... just add more players".     Insanely fun zombie killing action. AI director means no runs through a level feel quite the same, characters have a surprising amount of personality, and every level is long and creative and unique. Very little in this game feels like its stretching for time, its just effortlessly fun

    Playing this in today 2023 this game has not aged well. Looks dated, clunky gameplay and still fairly glitchy. A product very much of its time. Mods for this game are just like lipstick for a pig. A.I. teamates are beyond retarded (even with mod that makes them less retarded). Don't you just love it when three specials team up and gank you all at the same time, hey!? More fail than fun thesedays.

    This is a very good co-op shooter and its probably the best zombie shooter ever made. The characters are a delight to listen too and the its an absolute blast to kill zombies in this game. This game has the best gore I've ever seen in a zombie game, making killing zombies satisfying every time. The real meat and potatoes is the online vs mode for me.     Whereas once we treated Left 4 Dead as a stopgap between Half-Lifes, this is no longer a weird little side project with modest expectations, and Valve is confident enough to play around with it, safe in the knowledge that you can trust your players. Left 4 Dead proved it. And whereas that game had a personality, this one is overflowing with it.
