    This game makes COD Zombies look like crap. The Zombies in this game are fun as hell to fight. There are special infected that will beat your ass down. But that doesn't mean the common infected are push overs. This game is better than other co-op games because the co-op actually affects gameplay rather than "I don't know... just add more players".     Insanely fun zombie killing action. AI director means no runs through a level feel quite the same, characters have a surprising amount of personality, and every level is long and creative and unique. Very little in this game feels like its stretching for time, its just effortlessly fun

    Playing this in today 2023 this game has not aged well. Looks dated, clunky gameplay and still fairly glitchy. A product very much of its time. Mods for this game are just like lipstick for a pig. A.I. teamates are beyond retarded (even with mod that makes them less retarded). Don't you just love it when three specials team up and gank you all at the same time, hey!? More fail than fun thesedays.

    This is a very good co-op shooter and its probably the best zombie shooter ever made. The characters are a delight to listen too and the its an absolute blast to kill zombies in this game. This game has the best gore I've ever seen in a zombie game, making killing zombies satisfying every time. The real meat and potatoes is the online vs mode for me.     This game is a nice 4 player co-op zombie game that emphasizes the CO-OP. in the harder and even easier difficulties, you will be forced into situations where you have to rely on your teammates, which makes the game even more fun since you and your buddies are more dependent on each other. This game offers an expansive level of weapons you can choose from including SCARs, m16s, pistols,This game is a nice 4 player co-op zombie game that emphasizes the CO-OP. in the harder and even easier difficulties, you will be forced into situations where you have to rely on your teammates, which makes the game even more fun since you and your buddies are more dependent on each other. This game offers an expansive level of weapons you can choose from including SCARs, m16s, pistols, machetes, axes, guitars, shotguns, and even more stuff for you to play around with. with only 2 slots for weapons, you have to pick what seems the most right for you, which leaves tons of room for experimenting what works best for you.

    The games missions are very simple: get from point A to point B. sounds easy right? wrong, you have to go through hordes of zombies, go down many alternate routes, and fight through the special infected(which we will get to later). as simple as i make the mission system, it becomes really fun going through all of the levels of the game, since they are all so unique. Valve loves to prioritize quality over quantity, which is my way of saying that every stretch of road, every house, and every car, has a chance to help you out or screw you over, each tiny area has obstacles, objects, and zombies. there are even times where you have to do side quests in order to continue the level. one moment, your're holding off zombies only holding a 6-pack of beer, the next moment, you're fighting for your life to run to the start of a roller coaster. I love this game for the fact that you can use your enviroment to your advantage, but it can also be your disadvantage.

    The music is amazing because it naturally adapts to your situation, if you're simply walking along, it will be nice ambiance, but if you're fighting a horde, the music picks up majorly. the music adapts to your environment, and also helps you to predict what comes. for instance, there are about 8 different special infected in the game, and each of them has a special jingle that is played every time they spawn. This is used as a sort of sixth sense in the story.

    The special infected are what really add to the teamwork. most of the special infected revolve around immobilizing a single player. With this, teammates are forced to stick together and protect each other or they will get picked off one by one.

    The story is alright. It's mostly just "we need to get to this area", and then get to that area and escape, but then crash somewhere and rinse and repeat.

    Each level has 5 mini levels, the first 4 revolves going from point a to point b(as we just talked about), but the final level is a special level where you get to hold out in a single location and wait for help to come. in the meantime, you have to fight against hordes bigger than you've ever encountered, and face huge special infected called tanks. A true battle for survival in a night of the living dead fashion, and when the help gets there, your adrenaline skyrockets. at this moment, it's a battle to run to the exit vehicle while listening to heart-racing music. at that moment, the game throws everything at you, this is where most people die.

    Conclusion: this game offers a lot of fun for you and your friends, and with it only being like 15$ on steam, it is definitely worth the price.    … Expand

Esse foi é ainda é o melhor jogo de zumbi co-op que ja joguei, ele é bem simples para os dias atuais, mas não deixa de ser divertido, com mecanicas muito bem pensadas, por ex: o empurrão é o sistema de "2 chance" que ao um sobrevivente morrer ele aparecera em um armario, os zumbis são bem progamados como tambem os infectados como o "hunter" o "boomer" o "charger" o "jockey" o "Tank" o "smoker" a "spitter" e a "witch" cada um tem mecanicas proprias tambem simples mas bem geniais, sobre os personagens, eles são bastante carismaticos é bem reconheciveis e memoraveis, as campanhas são o maior charme do jogo todo elas são bem unicas e muito divertidas, (que dizer tirando a ultima fase do the paris) elas retratam muito bem ao nome delas, como o shopping center o hard rain o the sacrifice é o dark carnival, as armas são a cereja no topo do bolo, elas são bem variadas, de armas caseiras, ate Lança granadas, é falando nas proprias temos 3 tipos de "granadas" temos a pipe bomb que ao ser jogada os zumbis vão atras dela o molotov que ao ser jogada pega fogo, é o vomito que ao ser jogado em um zumbi ou infectado ele sera atacado pelos outros infectados, Left 4 dead e um otimo jogo pra jogar com amigos, então comprem vocês não iram se arrepender, e a minha nota e 10/10… Expand

    Left 4 Dead 2 is a big improvement over its predecessor. It features more weapons, more enemy types, a lot more maps and a new set of characters.

    In the core, it is the same game. You shoot the living hell out of zombies and try to reach the safe house and eventually, the extraction point. Underway hordes of infected and special infected make your life miserable and you measure every inch that you progress forward.

    I really liked the new weapons like the Desert Eagle and all the new melee weapons that you can use now.

    There are also a lot more maps and more were added later on via DLC, and user made maps. It keeps the game going strong, even today. They even added the maps from the original Left 4 Dead to this installment.

    The new enemy types are a nice addition to Left 4 Dead 2, like the horrifying Spitter, who bathes you in acid.

    I have to say that I did not like the Charger that much. It runs towards you with light speed, giving you a split second to react, and then beats the living sh!t out of you in a rapid pace. Almost anytime a hear the low-pitched scream in the distance, I thought: “yep, this is going to hurt”. But the absolute most annoying little bugger is the Jockey. It is a junkie hunchback, high on speed. And speed is right here. He is so freaking fast (and small) that hitting him is a real pain in the butt. When he reaches you, he rides on your neck like a horse, and you can only shamble left and right. I always hated this little piece of filth. But overall, it adds some new challenge to the game.

    The Tank and Witch are also back and stronger than ever. In Left 4 Dead 2, the Witch actually walks back and forth, while covering her eyes. This greatly improves the chance of you getting on her bad side and we all know what happens next.

    The Tank, for some reason, feels even stronger and more dangerous than the first game. As if he was not strong enough yet. His animations and fighting pattern are different and when he goes full Mike Tyson on you, he kills you so dead, that you reincarnate into an abortion.

    The graphics in Left 4 Dead have been greatly improved and still look beautiful to this day. The weapons are polished, the lighting of the sky and glimmering objects looks stunning and the detail and variation of the infected is great.

    In Left 4 Dead 2, the infected now have rag doll and you can dismember them. This is an epic upgrade from the first game.

    In the sound department, there are some nice improvements too. The gunfire sounds even better in this game and the gurgling sounds the infected make are a lot better now.

    The classic versus mode, in which you can be a special infected, is also back and, because of the more special infected you can choose from, is more fun than ever.

    Overall, Left 4 Dead 2 is a worthy successor for the first one and stacked full on extra content and hours of fun.

    Undoubtedly one of the best zombie killing games I've ever had, it's a lot of fun and with the objects from the steam workshop it leaves me glued to the screen for more hours, it's not difficult to understand and everything adapts to how expert you are.

Things changed after I started playing Killing Floor and a year later I grabbed Left 4 Dead 2 on sale for a better experience. As for me L4D2 is equally good as any other masterpiece by Valve. The graphics age really well and looks better than back 4 blood. There is around 100+ death animation for zombies and 700+ injuries combination the zombies can get.     Left 4 Dead 2 to this day remains one of the best coop experiences of all time.It is still holds up very well and with mods available in Steam Workshop you are able to have unlimited playtime and replayablity.It is still worth it after 12 years

    Great game! I have played about 800h in L4D1 and about 2000h in L4D2. It has amazing co-op and versus modes. And the art style is cool. Recommend it!

    I can't say I really enjoyed the game - maybe I just played it the wrong way, though. I didn't have any friends to play the game with so half of the campaign I played in "Single Player" mode and the other half I played with strangers on the internet - but it is obviously not how the game was supposed to be played. Left 4 Dead isn't about surviving in a post-apocalyptic world swarmed withI can't say I really enjoyed the game - maybe I just played it the wrong way, though. I didn't have any friends to play the game with so half of the campaign I played in "Single Player" mode and the other half I played with strangers on the internet - but it is obviously not how the game was supposed to be played. Left 4 Dead isn't about surviving in a post-apocalyptic world swarmed with zombies, it is not about killing zombies with AK-47 and Molotovs, either - Left 4 Dead is about having fun with your friends: who killed more infected, who killed more special infected, who caused more damage to Tank, etc. When you play Left 4 Dead 2 alone or with people you don't know this competetive aspect of the game dissappears and the game doesn't have much to offer beside that: the story is barely there, the characters are just "there", the gameplay is pretty shallow and repeatable - if you want to get lost in some imaginary world and forget about your **** boss or something L4D2 isn't the best place to do it, I would even say it is the worst place to do it because of how little the game requires you to use your brain so there is nothing left for you to to do except thinking about how you hate your job, your boss and what a failure you actually are.… Expand

    There is a good skill cap where a very good player can roll through a expert campaign without needing of farming/p2wining or anything new decade has sadly brought to us... Is all about how good you and your teammates are.

    The only thing that could be considered "bad" for someone is that the graphics are old as its a game from 2009.

    As for game modes there are several, and each of them unique in its own way.
    ㅤCampaign. This is where you play coop PvE through a series of levels on a map
    ㅤMutations. These are extra spices you can add into your campaigns such as only swords.
    ㅤSurvival. Wave based survival time based.
    ㅤVersus campaign. Same as campaign but special zombies are players
    ㅤVersus survival. Same as survival but special zombies are again players
    ㅤScavenge. Here you have to fill a generator and Z players try to stop you

    Ending here, this is one of the master pieces of valve, and a game I think I will be playing forever.

    Whereas once we treated Left 4 Dead as a stopgap between Half-Lifes, this is no longer a weird little side project with modest expectations, and Valve is confident enough to play around with it, safe in the knowledge that you can trust your players.
