These games we’re all created by this studio.

So you have been warned if you spend micro-transactions in the game. Who knows, they may stop supporting this game in a few months and work on something new. That’s what Free Reign is known for.

    ---

Now putting the studio name behind us.

Was the game under the radar?
    - You can say that. The game released 6 days after “PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS.” As of 4/9/17, PUBG had 82,122 players playing in the past hour, while LMS had 2,253 players playing in the past hour. That’s coming from a free to play game that ‘should’ have more players? Maybe lack of ad’s? It seems like they should have released LMS months before PUBG but, ¯_(ツ)_/¯.

    FPS?
    - I normally get between 57–100+ FPS. Depending on the area, etc. Some people are complaining about it, I can run it pretty well and I don’t even have a beast computer.

    How does it play?
    - It’s 50/50. It depends how you view the game. They definitely took aspects of their game Infestation and brought barricades, UI, characters and more into the game. You can kinda say it’s Shattered Skies, but without the open world’ness.

Shooting wise, is it better than H1Z1: KotK, yes. The bullets actually hit. Gameplay wise, it plays like all their other games put together, I can’t describe it in words. The game just didn’t hit my standard of a Battle Royale, so I didn’t play that much (maybe 2 or 3 matches). It’s more arcadey than H1Z1 believe it or not.

Last Man Standing is a poor mans Battle Royale game. Can it be fun for a player who doesn’t care about the arcadey’ness? Yes. Does it have replayability? No.

    Pros:
    - Practice server. You can enter the Battle Royale world, test the weapons, learn the map and have an infinite play time/spawn time.
    - Solo and Squad servers.
    - Depending on a match, it can last up to 25 minutes.

Cons (Some of the annoying cons of the game):
    - You have to enter in your password every time you start the client. No option to save it or auto log-in.
    - Want to change FOV? You have to restart the game.
    - Barricades, such a pointless feature. Why bring it back?
    - Their isn’t a game mode for just a normal BR, without the barricades.
    - No first person only servers.

This review contains spoilers, click full review link to view. Being another Free Reign Entertainment offering I wasn't expecting much but I must admit I was slightly impressed.

There is definitely a WarZ feel to the game that any of the old players will instantly recognize, and it brings some of the better elements from WarZ to the mix along with a few newer treats....

    .............................................................................The Good.......................................................................................
    1) Plenty of hiding places, ambush points, (i.e. dark closets, open top bins, small single entry rooms inside buildings)
2)An intuitive "standard" key layout for movement, sprinting, crawling, etc.
3)Tons of gear that can be had for the taking...
4)Attractive landscape with folds and dips to allow for "sneaky" approaches...
5)A nice sized map (playing area) not too small to allow players to spread out or flank, nor too big to traverse .
Although in solo mode - the one that actually "counts" for your leveling and experience this feature is negligible due to the constant shrinking ring (Like in the movie Hunger Games) which serves to bring the combatants into close contact to keep hours of match-end 1 on 1 hunting across a vast landscape out of the mix.
6)The ability to find and place traps I found quite fun, either just as a deathtrap or as a fortification to minimize opponents sneaking up from behind.
7)A few out of the "city area" tent areas to gear up with loot avoiding the obvious early deathtraps that the cities tend to become.(These are also handy as a lure for snipers to watch over as an in game trap)
    8) This game is FREE. Unlike many of it's peers!

    ................................................................The Bad.........................................................................................................

1)It feels as though there is no camouflage value to hiding in a bush since any player looking directly at your position through a scope or gun sight is rewarded with your colored health bar and name lighting up your position like a neon sign.
2)The Pain Pill function needs to be fixed...spamming the belt number key that you have your pain pills in makes you near invincible during a firefight as 1 pill heals you to full health instantly and the gunshots tend to inflict 30-50 damage per shot. That, and the copious amounts of pills to be found in game, makes a player with this knowledge nearly unbeatable.
3)The barricades can be ridiculous in this same belt button press way. In one match I carefully found a firing position surrounded on three sides with rocks and a clear firing field towards a small town- like area...an unsuspecting opponent wandered out in my kill zone 30-40 meters away from my position. I opened up full auto and was sure I had a kill! Before my 3rd full auto round was on it's way he had already deployed and was hiding behind 2 barricades.
    4) The Solo Game mode becomes a mad dash for a good firing position mid map as the rapidity of the shrinking circle makes any type of stealth or ambush outside the realm of possibility due to time constraints...(imho could be done much better but would require a longer match allowing for a few minutes between shrinks as opposed to moments between shrink cycles)
    5) The gun accessories (while cool) never seemed to make any improvement to gun lethality - with exception of extended mags.
6)Distant shrubbery tended to disappear at certain angles which could in essence leave a hidden sniper sitting in the open.
7)A few more game modes, like capture the flag, defend the flag, or 1st player to 10 kills wins would greatly improve the game.
8)The Solo game is just too forced to make it very enjoyable-the free play mode is far more rewarding yet it does not count.
9)It's easy to be in the top 20 finalists in solo mode without having to do more than sprint immediately to the center of the map and find a good hiding position and "outlasting" the majority.

    .............................................................................The Skinny........................................................................................

All in all Last Man Standing is a fun to play FREE game that has quite a few things going for it, a few glaring flaws, but a lot of potential.

Free Reign Entertainment unfortunately has a bad reputation of not fixing these types of things, of squeezing every penny out of a project then dropping it (and their loyal player base) without warning!
There are in game micro-transactions, but anyone with experience with Free Reign Entertainment can advise you, "Buyer Beware" this company has a history of dropping support for games rather quickly.
