Jun 1, 2017Last Dream: World Unknown is a cosmos unto itself, offering so much expansive content: hidden forests, frozen towers, ancient shrines, towering castles, dark armies, and an entire world of characters that feel real to the cities, villages, and towns in World Unknown. This is at least five games in one. Brilliant!

Jun 2, 2017If you thought Last Dream was par excellence, World Unknown takes everything a big step further. The world is bigger, the NPCs have much more (funny!) personality, the mapping is very well done, and the battles are bigger/harder/more complex. A superb sequel to a terrific series!

Jun 8, 2017Winner. Best game of the NES-era in a big way. So much customization and depth. More than the 80's and 90's could have delivered in one package. Borrows from many games, but that's part of its genius.

Jul 24, 2017With a great amount of variety and choice, Last Dream: World Unknown is an RPG Maker game that deserves to be celebrated. The game is here to remind us that old school RPGs can still be fun, but it also brings back memories that we don't always want to admit — that some parts are best left in the past. Regardless, if you love the NES and early SNES days of turn-based combat, I highly recommend this game. Otherwise, the archaic dungeons, awkward world map navigation, and the basic plot might put you off.
