    Somehow it feels wrong.

    I loved the original King's bounty, played all the expansions and those were good games. This is the multiplayer version, supported by the P2W? model. It has the same graphic style, largely the same units, yet it feels wrong. First the units have too many HP, in the 100s to 1000s, which makes incremental upgrades easier, but my brain refuses to do this kind of    Somehow it feels wrong.

    While I had no problems with the Kings Bounty series before army management was intuitive, here I find too many parameters to manage. Half a dozen resistances, special abilities, unit levels, special unlocks, auras, equipment creation, dozens of different scraps of materials that mobs drop. Simply too much for me, and not enough novelty to keep me engaged.

    Of course if you are looking for a grinding game, this one may keep you occupied for a very long time.    … Expand

    First things first: I love the King's Bounty series. I own all the games on that other, DRM-free site, and two games over here. I have hundreds of hours put into them, collectively. When I read a positive, recent review of this game, I thought I'd give it a try. I lasted only 12 minutes. During that time, I was nagged to log in and share things over Facebook NINE TIMES. In TWELVE MINUTES.First things first: I love the King's Bounty series. I own all the games on that other, DRM-free site, and two games over here. I have hundreds of hours put into them, collectively. Your warrior had an itch on his groin during combat and used the elven healer's pointy left ear to scratch it? Hey, I have an idea - you could share it on FB!

    At one point, I was actually informed of a feature that could ONLY be unlocked if I logged into FB. That was enough for me.

    Seriously. Ten times. In twelve minutes. It's like the first time I discovered my father's box of Playboy magazines, only not nearly as pleasant. Not recommended.    … Expand

    This game has been stripped of all depth and any elements that made it's predecessors fun. The Steam version is very error prone, poorly supported, and still forces users through Facebook for the multi-player features. The free-to-play nature of the game is relentlessly, aggressively in your face begging for money.
