Jan 8, 2011King's Bounty: Crossworld, with two new campaigns and a powerful editor, represents a great value bot for the new and the returning players.
-
Oct 25, 2010Worth it for the two vibrant mini-campaigns, but only if you're dying for more KB. It doesn't sex up the formula at all.
-
Oct 22, 2010The strategic roleplay saga continues beautifully with King's Bounty: Crossworlds. Two new campaigns and an improvement of the old one has been added, and gives new depth to the series. The entertainment value of the game is better than ever, even though the game engine, graphics and game system remains the same.
-
If you haven't yet stepped into the comical and stylized world of King's Bounty, Crossworlds offers countless of hours to waste, provided you can deal with the steep learning curve of the combat mechanics.
-
Some of those who've already gone through everything Armored Princess had to offer might argue that the novelties of Orcs on the March are insufficient for a replay. And this is why I recommend a healthy dose of patience, because I'm sure that in the near future we will see fan-made campaigns that will satisfy even the most pretentious fans.
-
When I had heard about Crossworlds after sleuthing about on 1C's website, I couldn't wait for September. Now that I've played the game, I'm horrified. Was Armored Princess luck? I'd like not to think so, but if Crossworlds is any indication of the kind of work we can expect from future installments, I'll be dusting my Sega Genesis off for another go at nostalgia.
-
King's Bounty: Crossworlds may be a more-of-the-same expansion, but it's also the best edition of the strategy role-playing hybrid yet released.
-
The combination of strategy and role-playing still stands out from the crowd and the added bonus of so many extra quests, items and units crammed together really adds value to the game.
-
The rather slim RPG elements coupled with deep, strategic, turn-based combat, and a lot of new and extra content makes Crossworlds a definite value.
-
A solid and entertaining expansion to the series, Crossworlds offers up plenty of additional goodies to pull players back.
-
LEVEL (Czech Republic)Two whole new campaigns and orcs with extra abilities. Add the strong editing tool and you got all improvements made to Armored Princess. Still, it's fun and entertaining but we wanted more. [Issue#196]
-
King's Bounty: Crossworlds is the best version of the recent revival to the 20 year old strategy game. While it does provide a good amount of gameplay additions to the picture, the lack of a new lengthy campaign makes the game hard to replay for those who've already experienced Armored Princess.
-
All in all you'll get nothing especially new, but solid expansions. Old gameplay elements have been combined with new monsters, new spells, new abilities and new items in some new environments.
