Absolutely waiting for these 6 games to come out on PC version, there is some issue occur but most importantly, the graphics are better than in consoles. 100% enjoyed so far.

Absolutely love this game and series, been returning to it for literally 19 years.

Also, occasionally the entire mix gets ducked after a loud pop.

During combat, having set music volume to 1, I can hear potentially audio issues every couple seconds.
Hopefully there's a patch for this in the works, but otherwise beautiful game!

Note I am 20hrs in but I have spent hundreds in total when considering ps2 and ps4.
    Setup = 5.1, 4k, 60fps
I've heard of graphical issues but, on my setup I've only experiences some camera issues like glitching through walls. overall, smooth visual experience.

Ok So let me begin by saying this compilation is amazing. On Console. Yes our fears are right. Yes our fears are right. The PC release of Kingdom Hearts is a hot mess with many issues that you would expect proper QA to catch. The first such issue you will immediately notice is when you start the game. The Opening FMV is flooded with Screen Tears and color distortions that do not appear on the Consoles. Yes there were effects used in the Original Video but these are obviously problems with the Videos themselves.

Next is that the Screen tearing goes into the gameplay itself. You can change many settings and make it a smoother experience to a point. But I could not go more than a minute or 2 without a frame stutter or tear in the image ruining the otherwise beautiful art style of the game. Please keep in mind that these are FULL Priced rereleases of the games that can be gotten for 40$ on PS4 usually. The game has controller support issues with many controllers. This seems to be an issue with Epic themselves not having Controller support like Steam offers.

Oh speaking of Steam this is yet another Epic Exclusive that won't launch through steam even if you add it. Meaning that controller support is really limited. So it is another reason to wait on this release til the Exclusivity with Epic is up.

Other issues I have with the release is the complete lack of Graphical options. The game gives no control over Motion blur, Aliasing, etc. The camera being so close is Jarring these days especially when it should have been an option to adjust the LOD. In many aspects you might as well be playing on a console. I am still downloading KHIII So hopefully it has more freedom. All things considered you can skip this. If you have a PS4 or an Xbox then grab this collection there. It is a complete waste of money on PC.

So Until the issues are fixed with the stuttering, Tearing and lack of graphical features This game gets a 1. Don't even waste your time.

It is absolutely shameful to make people pay 40$ for a game that has received so little improvement since it came out in the early 2000s. The graphics are nice (good old vibe), the story is the same (yay you can relieve your childhood experience) but that's it. The sound is awful and annoying, extremely repetitive with no transition between fights (popping up constantly) and no fights. The sound is awful and annoying, extremely repetitive with no transition between fights (popping up constantly) and no fights. The camera is AWFUL. It just does not work, you're fighting against the camera constantly to see or even walk in a straight line. Sometimes my actual mouse from the computer would just pop up, and it's impossible to fix it. I've had many graphics issues too. The fights are the same as from old games, with 0 improvements: you just spam keys to attack and run fast to dodge, it's stupid, boring and frustrating.
I mean what's the point of playing it on pc when it would be almost less expensive and more interesting to play it on the old console?

Story: Great, just like it used to be. Because nothing changed.
Graphics: Great, just like it used to be, with some improvements, but loving the old vibe. Definitely not loving all the bugs though.
Sound: awful, just like it used to be.
Gameplay: awful, it's just like it used to be so it was fun before but god couldn't you do something to improve that?
    Price: completely absurd.

This is just shameful recycling to make money.

I heard a lot about Kingdom Hearts and I never played it before. When it was released on PC I thought it's a great chance to try it.

First, it's obvious that the game was released for kids up to 12 years old when you find out Square Enix characters are all teens. This made me scratch my head wondering why fanboys were so excited for a third entry which came out 15 years after the second

This made me scratch my head wondering why fanboys were so excited for a third entry which came out 15 years after the second one. This means fans should be in their mid 20s or even 30s. Weird.

Now to the game. The controls are terrible and unresponsive. Don't even try to use the keyboard and mouse. Even on gamepad it's infuriating especially when in a combat. The camera is very bad focusing too close on the protagonist not allowing a wide field of view. This will force you to keep using the L pad to look around to know your path. It proved horrible when you have to jump over tree tops and whatnot,

I played 90 minutes of the game and what does it start with? Fetch quests: Bring me coconuts. Bring me mushrooms. Bring me logs. How fun. This game logic used to work 20 years ago along with games like Shenmue, but not today. This game didn't age well.

Yes, it's Kingdom Hearts on PC, but I've encountered annoying graphics issues (weird blue sprites and missing textures, super annoying twitching ghosting effect when moving the camera), audio drop outs during battles, and a game breaking bug which forced me to play the already frustrating Halloween world twice.

Very unpolished. Hopefully issues will be addressed

it is hard for me to write this review as it is of a game series that i love, flaw and all. Unfortunately this in regards to the PC release that is THE most intuitive PC game i have seen in a in terms of control design. my problems started right after opening the game. Since i use a XBox series X controller i recently got, the game detected the controller but the mapping of the controller is outright off when in wireless mode. this can be changed by plugging in the controller and running it in wired mode (updated firmware and the issue persists). not 100% sure this is the fault of square enix, but the issue should have been found and reported to Microsoft if the issue is the controller. the issue doesn't seem to effect my old xbox 360 controler though so its not much of an issue. Now you could say just use a keyboard and mouse, to which i will say tat the keyboard and mouse option is like playing the game on the PS2, extremely unintuitive. I dont know what the best setup for this game should be and i plan to experiment i the future, but hitting the m or number 4 key to pause or go into the in game menu is idiotic at best, why not the esc key. at first i thought maybe it was to avoid overall game issues as the esc key is used in the primary game menu to bring up the settings menu and to close out the game from the game select menu. but once in the game the only way to close the game once is started from what have sen is to alt f4. WHY? this is a game made in early 2000s and remaster wit the game select menu in mind, so why is it that the esc key at least get to the game select menu and the 1 or any other key open the in game menu or pause the game. Its almost as though the game makers have learned NOTHING over the last 15 years or so. The reason for the low score is primarily due to the garbage control schemes that would be outdated even in 2001 for any PC game of That era. and Honestly i remember the garbage control schemes back n the PS2 and ave NO rose colored glasses about it. But over the years i had started o hate the Kingdom Hearts franchise due to its pretentious name schemes but since it was finally on PC i decided to give it a second chance despite the entry for a set of games that has been out for so long and little to no visual difference made in the first game outside of the full screen resolution. I dont want to hate this game, but it feels like Square has learned nothing about intuitive controls on either keyboard and mouse, nor even controllers themselves. And considering the originals Failure to utilize the right analog stick originally (opting to waist the trigger buttons to do this originally) and the current game basically not learning the mistakes of the past. i am going it a 4 out of 10. i may revise the score later if the issue with the xbox controller gets fixed and a new standard keyboard default that actual make sense is added but ATM this game is like a blast from the past and not in a good way. at least there is some option hidden under the manual camera setup to rebind the keys...why its hidden is again more of Square Enix nonsense and inability to make playing on PC easier. I can not believe people are still praising this kind of nonsense at the price of 49.99, but i guess its likely due to people overlooking its flaws due o the game itself, if that's the case i can understand and don't let m negative review disway you from the purchase or our enjoyment, the issues i mentioned simply hampers my own. After all i want to enjoy the game the way i used to blemishes and all. Expand

I love this game. On the PS4 I would give this a 9 or 10 (leaning more into 10), but I'm gonna be honest this game isn't perfect. At random points the audio just cuts out and comes back in. I found that turning it down helped to solve that issue but I still wanted to mention it. KH2 has also crashed a number of times. I find that limiting the framerate to 60 and turning off refresh rate helps a bunch with crashes, but I would love to at least play this game at a stable 120 fps. The game is great and if you can get over those issues you'll be fine, but I still think that console is where it's at until they hopefully patch this game and I really hope they do. The features included in this version could've made it the definitive version of KH HD 1.5+2.5, but until they fix it stick with the console releases unless you really want to play this on PC. Expand

The ultimate gaming experience that will last you a while. However, it would be nice if this collection could include: 2.8, 3, a actual remake of 358/2 days, a actual remake of Re:coded, and the offshoot mobile/browser games.

Regardless, for what the currently got in it. This is a 11 out of 10. As a Kingdom Heart fan, I'm really satisfied with this.

Absolute garbage. Completely unplayable due to constant crashing and, even when it is working, there are frequent graphical bugs and stuttering. Do not buy this release.

Most people think that the controls for PC are bad, but you can remap controls in the menu screen. I played Kingdom Hearts Final Mix with only my mouse and keyboard, and did the same with KH II, and I had no issues with controls whatsoever. The only thing that was difficult with PC controls is when you attempt to create a gummy ship. Another downside is that there are still audio issues; the game sometimes stops the music abruptly for a few seconds, then plays again. There are also minor bugs in it as well, but nothing major. I think its funny how this is the first time I played the first Kingdom hearts games, and I play it with PC controls XD. Overall, this game series is very awesome, and I recommend you play it if you haven't :). Expand

Story is simple and nothing complex, dark vs light, I liked it. It makes you look forward to the next few sequel. The camera angle is the worst enemy of this game.

Prior to the games being bundled together in what is appropriately called the Final Mix, it was almost comical trying to keep track of everything Kingdom Hearts, with six games across four separate consoles (and that's without counting future games, to boot!), but this was fortunately resolved with this remastered repackaging of the games that were originally released for the PS4 in 2017. With a base pricing of $50 USD on Steam, Kingdom Hearts 1.5+2.5 ReMIX is a fantastic way to finally get into a much beloved RPG series, with several dozens of hours of content that make for a delightful experience. The games are cheesy and charming in the best ways, so long as you're a gamer that doesn't mind a healthy dose of cheesiness. There is a distinct reputation for being complicated plot-wise, but often that's exaggerated for comedic effect. The series is very enjoyable with amusing stories and satisfying combat, so if anyone has been interested but has yet to have an opportunity, now is as good a time as any to get into the franchise!

Revisiting KINGDOM HEARTS HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX on a portable natively has been amazing. The package is incredible value even today and it shines on Steam Deck. If you’ve never played a KINGDOM HEARTS game before, get KINGDOM HEARTS HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX on Steam Deck. I need a bit more time to test the games outside KINGDOM HEARTS 1 and 2 in this package though.
