    For fans of KCD II, this is a long-awaited DLC. Henry finally gets his own home, bringing him closer to the everyday life of Kuttenberg’s citizens. The way it enriches the overall gameplay makes it a worthwhile addition on its own.

    How much you enjoy Legacy of the Forge comes down to how much you’ve played KCD2. If you’ve still got hours of quests to plough through in Kuttenberg, then Legacy of the Forge is the perfect accompaniment that gives you more to do. If you’ve already exhausted the game, though, then the quests here will feel a bit thin. It depends on what you’re looking for, but I enjoyed returning to Kuttenberg and becoming the most respected blacksmith in town. I just know Martin would be proud.

    This second DLC isn't for those dreaming of epic battles, frenetic pace, or pitched warfare across the lands of medieval Bohemia. There's a more intimate nuance to what happens in the forge; between working at the anvil and filing, there's time to delve into a part of Henry that deserves to be explored. The same way the brave young man devotes himself to his father's trade, a craft he must learn to honor his late parent's memory, but also to build a genuine fortune, as well as a refuge for his weary limbs and tormented soul.

    Legacy of the Forge shows Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 from a different, more personal angle, where battles give way to the zen of medieval household life. A clever prestige system and smaller quests create a compelling loop that nicely contrasts with the game’s epic foundation. If you’ve been looking for a reason to return to Kutná Hora, look no more.
