    A beautiful pixel graphic game that ends just when it gets interesting, combined with a nice electronic soundtrack. Score would be higher with more levels since the gameplay loop is satisfying.

    Супер ахуенная игра. Кайфовая, Хардкорная, и в ообщем охуенно, охуенно, охуенно. Перепрошёл 3 раза и все время кайфовал.

    This game is art it tells a beautiful story. The soundtrack is so good comparable doom. The gameplay is really good. the only problem I have whit it is its difficulty it can be pretty annoying but that was for me. other than that amazing absolutely amazing. everything is amazing except difficulty.

    The game's art and sound direction are wonderful. The gameplay is really interesting, however, I was found myself frustrated the majority of the playthrough and was relieved by the quick ending. Probably just wasn't for me.

    Enthralling gameplay, a unique method of storytelling, and player choice in the campaign make Katana Zero a very special title in Devolver's catalog. Unfortunately, the ending comes way too fast and isn't really satisfying. I also wish your choices could lead to different outcomes, but there's really only one path. (Unless you count THAT boss).

    KATANA ZERO - стильная, веселая, быстрая, приятная во всём игра, с классной бодрой музыкой. Забавная система диалогов! Сюжет хоть и без изысков, но приятный. Гениально и классно! Хочется продолжения!

    Геймплей выглядит достаточно простым, но играть довольно интересно, даже наиграв 6 часов, перепроходя некоторые локации по 100500 раз, он не надоел.

    Absolute masterpiece. Not usually into side scrolling games but this is something else, gameplay is amazing, story follows a ex spec ops soldier who can slow time and "see the future" who now takes contracts that relate to his past(that has been erased from his memory)

    A short but wonderful experience. The story has all sorts of twists and turns and the action makes you feel like a complete ninja bad ass. Recommend for anyone who's into indie titles.

    This needs to be a 6 from me. The game is fun and looks cute but lack of 21:9 support is disappointing, average pixel graphics and good sound design cant really push it higher than this. On a PC game looks average. Game would be ideal for VITA, Switch, or any other portable console you can think off but on a PC art, characters are just too stretched, pixels are far too big and fineThis needs to be a 6 from me.     This is a great introduction to a neo noir post war world, so the story isn't yet finished. There's plenty more to explore and expand upon in an inevitable sequel since the most important plot points don't get resolved.    KATANA ZERO has lots of passion put into it.     some good ideas and a pretty cool pixel graphic style are ruined by the bad controls. you fight more with the controls than with the enemies. the way your character has to act is convoluted and often makes you die just because you made a move you didn't intend to do. as a result, it's very unpleasant to play.

    It has all the flaws of indie gaming recently. It thinks it's saying "something important" but has nothing to say. Not to mention the gameplay is a derivative of a derivative. Another game that seems crowdsourced to make a good little indie game. Just trite.

The gameplay is tight, challenging, yet also quite fair and incredibly balanced....all this is great...BUT F%&K the GAME's STORY/Narrative is some of the BEST SCI-FI Psychological Drama that I've seen. Holy Hell I was invested in our main characters' psychological deterioration due to drug abuse. This is also aKatana Zero is some of the MOST fun I have had with a platformer slice-em-up. The gameplay is tight, challenging, yet also quite fair and incredibly balanced....all this is great...BUT F%&K the GAME's STORY/Narrative is some of the BEST SCI-FI Psychological Drama that I've seen. Holy Hell I was invested in our main characters' psychological deterioration due to drug abuse. This is also a very short game. 5 - 6 hours of gameplay. Luckily there is HEAPS of reply value due to different narrative paths, and also MORE CONTENT is apparently coming in the next few months.

    I would classify the game-play as an action-puzzle where you plan how to finish a screen before following your plan. Multiples tries are often necessary. I find the difficulty to be well balanced. I like the well animated pixel art and I find the music to perfectly    Katana Zero got me hooked from the first few minutes.

    Katana Zero has the charm that Devolver Digital puts into there games, there's no doubt about it. But there's one thing I adore about Katana Zero and that's the mix of different types of gameplay. From stealth and platforming to an easy to learn combat system, Katana Zero gives a story thats confusing at parts but comes all together in the end giving the player a moment of understandingKatana Zero has the charm that Devolver Digital puts into there games, there's no doubt about it. But there's one thing I adore about Katana Zero and that's the mix of different types of gameplay. From stealth and platforming to an easy to learn combat system, Katana Zero gives a story thats confusing at parts but comes all together in the end giving the player a moment of understanding when everything pieces together thats almost as satisfying as the gameplay. With cybernetic synths and jump-starting jazz, the OST is very appealing and one of the reasons I bought the game for it’s very reasonable $15 price point. The game may be around 2-3 hours, I wanted to keep on going back for end game content. That end game content may seem like just new blades, but what's the best part is the speedrun times. Wanting to get the fastest time was something so satisfying to me.

    Na minha opinião, katana ZERO é o jogo que conseguiu unir uma gameplay boa com uma historia boa e envolvente, por isso acho esse jogo tão bom.

    this game is beautiful, the OST is awsome, the pixel graphics are gorgeous and the gameplay is super cool.
    It reminds me so much of hotline miami, not accidentally, I know.

    Great soundtrack. Fast, fun gameplay. Solid enough narrative for such a short game. I liked the writing (I actually laughed out loud at one point). I especially liked how it played with the idea of skipping dialogue, turning the act itself into a form of gameplay. Sadly, the stealth seemed unnecessary. За пару присестов прошёл, но это не будет моим последним прохождением. Очень приятная игра с отличным музыкальным вайбом и динамичным недушным геймплеем.     Despite its short lenght, Katana: ZERO shows a major degree of polishing and some very smooth gameplay, definitely expecting a follow-up because this has some major potential.

    просто нужно было добавить чуть больше записок чтоли или штучек которых можно было потыкать или какой нибудь бонус секрета пазл как в    музыка заебись, боевка как будто хм но с виду сбоку, сюжет неплохой но и не сказал бы что отличный но впринципе хороший да и кстати схожесть большая с хотлайн маями в плане сюжета те же ветераны те же заказы а потом маски которые несут абстрактную хуйню

    Probably impossible for anyone to dislike this game. It has amazing music, cool artstyle, fun combat and very good storytelling. Unfortunate that it's so short.

    Pixel art with style, beautiful music, hard but fair gameplay, a gripping narrative, flowing movement, and at times funny dialogue leads to an excellent experience. Each level feels like a puzzle where the challenge comes from finding the right combinations of wall jumps, rolls, and sword attacks to defeat each room. My only problem with the game is the short play time.

The narrative didn't end up connecting with me all that much, but I did enjoy seeing various the twists and turns; though the cliffhanger ending was somewhat frustrating. I think the difficulty level fluctuates a bit too much, and a few ofI thoroughly enjoyed my time playing through Katana Zero. The art and music are top notch, and the gameplay flow is unique and generally quite fun.     Katana Zero is a 2d story driven game about a psychotic hitman samurai that goes around killing people for a psychologist. It's a beautiful pixel-art game with a story that makes you sympathize with the main character. When I play Katana Zero, it reminds me of Gunz: The Duel and Vagrant Story.

    It's a tasty and messy blend of Hotline Miami's difficulty with a cyberpunk-like gritty aesthetic. Even with its obvious inspirations, it has its own unique style, with breathtaking art and orgasmic music. Getting past the superficials, the gameplay is responsive and fair, even if a little frustrating at times (if you're really bad at it like me). It is simple enough to learn all you need in a couple of seconds, but complex enough to create advanced strategies for creating shortcuts and speedrunning.

    Even with all of these elements, what really captivated me in KZ was its plot. Wow. Like i mentioned a paragraph ago, the punishing elements of the gameplay can be a little frustrating, and in these moments what pushed me into finishing it was the surprisingly emotional moments that the story has. The few characters that the game introduces to us are all interesting in their own unique way, complementing the atmosphere and creating a breathing and alive world where the player conduces his missions. Even if it's a game where you pass 90% of your time killing people in painful ways, some of the intermissions and breathing-pauses that follow the brutal moments are really intimate. I'm not going to dwell on spoilers, so just play it. It's easily one of the best experiences i had on gaming.    … Expand

    Easily my favorite game ever, the fantastic art style, brilliant story, and incredible gameplay culminate in the best possible outcome. The game will kick your ass over and over but it's worth it in the end. Boss fights are also amazing.

    Not bad 1 time old school kinda beat'em up. I strongly believe that we should rate this game by it's own standard of "small games". If you have like poor game exp and hate everything repetitive, think before playing it. The biggest con - lack of variety in ways of beating levels and rooms

    I almost never really felt bored while playing this game. The game is successful in terms of fluency, but the story seemed a bit stale to me for some reason. But while you play the game, you adopt the story and spend a good 4-5 hours with the game's beautiful gameplay mechanics.
