May 27, 2022Kao the Kangaroo is a solid and colorful platformer that unmistakably harks back to the PSX and PS2 years.
-
May 27, 2022Kao The Kangaroo is an enjoyable and fun platformer, whose low difficulty level combined with its short duration is a hindrance to its potential to be placed alongside top titles like Crash Bandicoot and Ratchet & Clank. However, its overall quality is high enough to make it undoubtedly a worthy recommendation for platformer fans.

Jun 6, 2022The return of the traditional 3D arcade was successful and kangaroo Kao gave us a real nostalgic blow. But there could be more worlds and content.
-
May 27, 2022Short and extremely easy, Kao the Kangaroo won't win over anyone that isn't itching for a new 3D platformer. But it's still fairly enjoyable and a solid way to spend a few hours for anyone looking for a collection-based throwback.
-
Jun 7, 2022Kao the Kangaroo might be a solid reboot that walks you down the memory lane for a few hours, but it won't be an experience that stays with you for a long time, just like any other game in this franchise.
-
May 27, 2022Kao the Kangaroo is a solid reboot, but not in the league of Crash Bandicoot. The game is pretty, runs smoothly, offers great level design and fun combat system, and overall has a strong base, but also contains many elements that fail to reach the level we expect from a platformer today.
-
May 27, 2022Kao the Kangaroo is a nice 3D platformer for getting your feet wet. The gameplay from previous entries is the same and it is easy for beginners to pick up. The graphics look good and keeping it simple fits with the game’s theme. Unfortunately, the game feels too short, ending just as it picks up momentum. Collectibles feel like unnecessary game padding, the story feels like an excuse plot, and the voice acting leaves a lot to be desired. This may satisfy fans who were looking forward to Kao the Kangaroo’s return, but there isn’t much for players who were hoping for a great, modern 3D platformer.
