Kamilia

Kamilia is honestly not just a fantastic game, but a fantastic experience. This was much more enjoyable than anticipated, as well as being more emotionally invested. I was quickly pulled into the story, which gets straight into it right from the start with no unnecessary padding anywhere. The mix of pixel art and paintings came together to create a visually-beautiful game, enhanced by the equally-incredible soundtrack, with the sound effects really playing a good part to tell the story. The gameplay itself was well thought-out, allowing you to explore your options and make your own decisions while the game gently nudges you in the right direction and makes sure you're happy. I honestly think Kamilia is hugely underrated and I really encourage others to give this a go, because I'm certainly glad I did.
