    I don’t want to review this game because I have so so so love in this game and this is one of the best game and masterpiece installment in this franchise.

    1. Soundtrack Soundtrack is intense and it’s orchestral and arrangement that gain motivation to play this game. This is one of the best soundtrack in 2015 and I give it 20/10 for soundtrack. 2. Story This game is far the best and    I don’t want to review this game because I have so so so love in this game and this is one of the best game and masterpiece installment in this franchise.

    2. Story This game is far the best and cohesive story in this franchise. JC1 and 2 didn’t improve Rico’s relationship but this game that have his old friend to save Medici. Dialogue is one of the less swearing words than any games. Story is so satisfying for me.

    3. Theme
    The strongest theme in the entire franchise. JC 2 is literally not better in it’s core theme. The theme is about freedom. This game completely show the freedom for Rico’s country. So I give it 20/10.

    4. Gameplay Gameplay is the same as JC2 with more improvement. JC2 is good but sometimes jarring and spinning camera. JC3 has better gameplay and satisfying traverse in open-world environments. I love this game and I give 10/10.

    5. Boss Fight This boss fight is so easy for pro and difficult for starters. But it is so so so rewarding and satisfying when you beat the boss fight. In personal, this boss fight is the most favorite thing in every boss fights.

    6. Some small nick-picking

    Ana hikayeyi bitirdim. Tüm challengeları 5 gears yaptım. Hikaye hiç umursamadım, because just cause. Ana odağım baseleri ele geçirip challengeları tamamlamak oldu. Oynarken güzel vakit geçirdim. DLC'lere başladım ama sarmadı bıraktım.

    Much more enjoyable than second game, map is just as big and its full of things to blow up, if you are this kind of person who enjoys mayhem than go buy and enjoy blowing **** up.

    A fun game of mayhem and havoc that does not take itself too seriously, and manages to get away with it without coming off as obtuse. Mechanically sound and fun to play.

    Was pleasantly surprised by this one.
    Dynamic game play, lots of weaponry and vehicles, and well written main story.

    Extremely much stuff to do, it is just an unbelievable game. I love it. My favourite game of all time. It is so beautiful, and you can play it forever.

    The movement in this game is some of the best movement in any game. I love grappling around and using the wingsuit. Also, the map is huge and there are lots of interesting cities and bases. The DLCs also brings lots of new movement, vehicles, locations and story, like the rocket boat and rocket wingsuit. the games driving and shooting are good too. if you can pick this game up on sale (itThe movement in this game is some of the best movement in any game.     Сюжет короткий. Геймплей очень хороший. Но чтобы открыть сюжетную миссию надо освобождать провинции, и это основная часть игры. А так хорошо

    Got it for 1.49 dollars and I am still giving it a 5. And while I enjoy it, it really has some terrible bugs.

    I spent over 9 hours attempting to fix a graphics problem with the game and Nvidia, in 2021. That means it's unlikely the game devs care enough to fix the game. Honestly, gamers should take a stand against these crappy companies releasing slop and then turning tail. It's poor    Got it for 1.49 dollars and I am still giving it a 5. And while I enjoy it, it really has some terrible bugs.

    Rico Rodriguez, velký uklízeč kapitalismu, tak to je chlap kterého prostě milujete nebo naprosto nesnášíte. A Tak je to i s Just Cause 3. Jak je u série zvykem hrajeme na velice rozlehlé mapě se spoustou hor, planin i ostrovů a také propadáme neustálému stereotypu.     The game redefines its graphics with the same blowing stuff-up storyline. This time they have added a wingsuit which makes travelling around the massive open world so much easier and just when you thought what more can you destroy that was not in the previous games, well now you can destroy bridges as well and the destruction looks so amazing.     윙슈트를 타면서 기지를 붕괴시켜 나가다보면 분명 다른 게임에서는 느낄 수 없는 쾌감이 오지만 단순한 파괴의 반복은 역시 빠르게 질린다.

    Меня игра не зацепила. Все выглядит слишком шаблонно и открытый мир не хочется исследовать. Рублей за 100 можно взять, но я бы лучше посоветовал Saints Row 4, например.

    I really like this game, it is one of my most favourite games. The Game has really good graphics, but the game is really performance hungry, even a 1080ti has to sweat. Really like the Wingsuit feature...sometimes i just turn of the hud and fly...Sometimes the Ai is...really...weird. The game is all about experimenting and explosions.

    - Когда проще рассказать, что главный персонаж игры НЕ умеет делать, чем умеет;
    - Спрыгнув на танке с километровой скалы вы не умрёте, а противник умрет, спрыгнув с дерева. Приземлившись с вертолета без парашюта, вы скорее всего тоже не умрёте. Да блин, тут вообще сложно умереть!
    - Когда полный порядок с русской озвучкой. Девелоперам из ААА... ну вы поняли;
    - Очень много военной техники. Вертолеты, танки, катера, истребители-бомбардировщики, артиллерия;
    - Масса дополнительных испытаний, например, гонки, трюки, разрушение на время. Выполняя их, вы получаете очки прокачки навыков, оружия и техники;
    - Никаких навязанных механик и максимум свободы выбора. Огромный мир из нескольких островов, гор и водных пространств;

Game have too much candy graphics, worse than old samsung amoleds, and gameplay is glitchy - when you playing and go AFK for a while, npc stars fighting and making mess .     JC3 is a near perfect game. This delivers a playground that delivers on the most important respect, it's fun to play in. After a few hours you're a master of the wingsuit and grapple and traversal becomes such an enjoyable experience.

    This game is absolutely great! In my opinion, there is nothing bad about this game. I had no bugs while playing it, the graphics look great and the gameplay is extremely funny. The only thing about this game that may be a weakness, is its story. But who cares about the story, when you can blow that much **** up?!

    Rico saves the day once again. The game excels in sandbox style fun. I did not care much for the Mary Sue character, but all of the other characters were fantastic. Dimah is my favorite, but the game did very well on nearly every personality. The voice acting was well done as well.

    The gameplay is very fun, and when you finish the DLC, it becomes exceptionally easy. The new    Rico saves the day once again. The game excels in sandbox style fun. I did not care much for the Mary Sue character, but all of the other characters were fantastic. Dimah is my favorite, but the game did very well on nearly every personality. The voice acting was well done as well.

    The gameplay is very fun, and when you finish the DLC, it becomes exceptionally easy. The new jetpack/glider has weaponary and speed, making travel and combat a whole new experience. The only snag is the slow turning, but if you plan your areal attacks well, it does not matter much. The weapons are fun to experiment with, and I found myself not as interested in the FOW type weapons, though they are fun as well.

    This game is definitely worth the time invested, and I can see myself revisiting this game later, to do it all over again. The Mario and Dimah dialog will be worth it alone.    … Expand

    I remember I played Just Cause 2 a few years ago. I can say that Just Cause 3 is an emotionless version. After a few hours of play, the game starts to become redundant and especially boring. I didn't like it and I didn't finish the game.

    It has it's good parts but lacks in others. Pretty repetitive game play, even tho the history is good, the missions get very repetitive in 4 hours of game play. However, the mechanics and explosions are very fun, the fact that you can fly with a flying suit and launch rockets from the sky while being that Hollywood main character that is kind of immortal, one man army and can defeat anyoneIt has it's good parts but lacks in others. Pretty repetitive game play, even tho the history is good, the missions get very repetitive in 4 hours of game play.     - as in JC2, extremely fun physics. Vehicles + objects + tethers = hours of entertainment.
    - really fun DLC vehicles
    - very decent cutscenes, with some of the best lipsync and motion capture I've seen in a game

    Negative:
    - loading screens ALL. THE. TIME. Literally, I've never seen this much loading screens in a game. Absolute horror to wait through and a major turn-off
    - somehow (how ???) the world wasn't nearly as pretty as JC2. I was barely ever tempted to take screenshots, which happened all the time in JC2, despite 5 years older graphics.
    - extremely repetitive world design and building design from 2005 (buildings are just bricks with 8 vertices from more than 200m away or so), and almost complete lack of unique "fun" locations, which were plentiful in JC2
    - the physics can be quite buggy in some instances
    - utterly hopeless motorcycle handling mechanics (EVEN WORSE than in JC2!)
    - meh story and mostly meh missions
    - overall not as memorable and immersive atmosphere as in JC2 :(    … Expand

Realism doesnt exist in Avalance's book and a result Jc3 is just another Saints Row game but without **** and aliens. This isnt what i expected. Liberating regions becomes boring eventually with repetitive gunfights and noSolid Gunplay+ Brilliant graphics+ Massive well-crafted map. Besides it, everything is out of order. There are a lot of optional challenges available like driving, piloting, wingsuit gliding, etc. that allows you to experience the fullest extent of the map if you so desire.

    Because of the sheer size of the map, you can easily get 50+ hours of gameplay even without doing any challenges. I highly recommend at least the wingsuit challenges, though. However, the overall game itself doesn't feel as intense as JC2 which is where opinions will divide. JC3 isn't particularly difficult; you're essentially given free reign so long as you don't let yourself die. And even if you do, you just respawn and continue on from there.

    Combat with hostiles on the ground is a bit boring since guns are king, and it's just better in general to ignore the enemies and focus on clearing the outposts. There isn't much of a point anymore to use the hook to make cheesy kills, which is a bit disappointing. Driving is pointless once you can use helicopters. These are only some of the reasons why I'm unable to rate JC3 higher; JC3 lost some of the main charms of JC2 and forces you to focus on a limited spectrum of gameplay.

    In any case, JC3 is still a decent game to play if you enjoyed JC2, so if you can get it on sale, you should. It's not the same beast that JC2 was, but JC2 set a really high bar that's hard to beat, so it wouldn't be fair to expect too much out of JC3. I give JC3 a generous 8/10, simply because I got a ton of bang out of it from sheer game time.

    The Air, Land & Sea Expansion Pass DLC adds many neat additions to the game that makes it more badass to play (jetpack wingsuit anyone?), so you should grab it as well if you can. The jetpack alone makes the DLC worth having. I'd give the DLC a 9/10, as it was relatively fun to play through and added a bunch of content.

    On a final note, I highly suggest installing mods to alleviate some of the inconveniences in the game (long intro, rebel drop frequency, etc.). Also, keep Vertical Sync enabled or else you may experience "DXGI" game crashes.    … Expand

    I pre ordered it and it was so dissapointing the story is bad and the gameplay is also somewhat downgraded from the original. OK explosions look better but thats about it but the world is beatiful and free roaming fun for a while but thats it.

    Fantastic game with a gorgeous, vibrant world. JC3 is a worthy successor to JC2; the addition off the wingsuit was a great idea. Knocking a point for online login and occasional slowdowns/lockups (very infrequent now compared to launch). Overall though, well worth the money.

    For 3$ on sale, I'm not sure if I could complain about a repetitive and boring open world shooter with nothing to offer but nonstop explosions, ridiculously bad driving controls and bland gunplay. But hey, it's still fun because it's cheap, just enjoy the mayhem that this franchise proudly markets itself with.

    I like this game, but i have a few problems.
    1: The console versions can get really laggy.
    2: You need to have a decent pc to play this game.
    3: Blowing up everything to liberate a town can get a little repetitive (especially if you can't find something to destroy -yeah yeah there's a map i know but for the little things to destroy that won't help you-)
    4: The driving is awkward at first. You need to get used to it.

    Overall, if you don't care about the plot, then this game's great! Otherwise, this game's not for you. The vast majority of this game is just blowing stuff up and messing about, sort of like a sandbox. It does suffer from a few performance issues, but ran smoothly otherwise. Graphics are ok to say the least.

    + 1080P High (with Medium Shadows and FXAA) gave me between 60-90fps on my Radeon RX 470.
    + Beautiful visuals. Sky, water and smoke are especially good.

    +/- Story isn’t the reason to play any Just Cause game, and the one in Just Cause 3 is meh at best. They tried to make it serious, which is antithetical to the Just Cause franchise.

    - The multiple factions premise from Just Cause 2 is gone. Rebels vs. dictator. That’s it.
    - Long load times, even when installed on an SSD.
    - Half the number of locations compared to Just Cause 2. Large swaths of the map are empty.
    - No mini-map.
    - No weapon or vehicle upgrades. Yes, you can “mod” different functions, but Just Cause 2 had five different levels for most items in the black market store. No more.
    - Always online – tied to your Steam login. If the Steam servers go offline (like they do every Tuesday for about 10 minutes for servicing), Just Cause 3 will pause itself and ask if you would like to continue in off-line mode. When the Steam servers come back up, it will log back in.
    - No cloud saves – despite the “always online” feature.
    - Bad save system. Exiting the game returns you to the nearest base next time you start the game. Just Cause 2 had the same issue, but in that game fast-travel simply cost money; in Just Cause 3 the ability to fast-travel is tied to how many flares you have (there is a limited number).
    - Advanced spawns are ridiculous. An endless stream of over-powered enemies. Hijacking a tank is your only hope.
    - Glitchy bug-fest. Many remain unfixed to this day (like the forum-famous “Precision Aim” glitch for the mission “Reach Rosa’s Plane”).
    - Complete arcade-style challenges to earn “gear.” That’s fine, except vehicle, wingsuit and aerial controls are so bad as to make each trial a chore.
    - Needs CPU horsepower. My i5-4590 (Haswell) goes to 95% load (on all four cores) during big explosions.
    - System ram usage averaged around 9.5 GB while playing (I’m running Windows 7 x64). Those with 8GB of ram could run into issues, despite the store page saying 8GB is enough.
    - Rico is Italian now instead of Hispanic? Why?
    - Very little health.
    - Wing-suit controls are awful.
    - Driving controls are sluggish and have rubberband inputs (“Turn left. Turn LEFT!” And now you’ve held the key too long and the car goes off a cliff). Criterion (Burnout series, Need for Speed) supposedly assisted with the driving mechanics, but you’d never know it.

    I love running around in a sandbox and watching the destruction engine get to work, but there are just too many negatives to make Just Cause 3 a recommended purchase. Considering the total package, Just Cause 2 is more fun - there’s more to do, the b-movie action story is actually better, it’s a lot less glitchy while still being decent to look at – and it runs great on today’s powerful hardware. It’s a sad declaration on the state of gaming that a game from 8 years ago has so much more to offer than this latest installment. If you want to get Just Cause 3 anyway, wait the XL Edition at a deep discount (75% or more). With Just Cause 2 frequently discounting to $3 during sales while being the better game, there’s no reason to spend more than you have to on Just Cause 3.    … Expand

    Oh, on the technical side .. i actually do have quite an expensive PC and the game ran smoothly most of the time .. but micro-froze every now and then, especially in passages that involved travelling quickly (like gliding at very low altitude) .. which made many challenges impossible.

    Lots of fun to be had here, but the game seems like it doesn't want you to be on the ground. I feel a huge disconnect when I see Rico doing insane acrobatics and then barely being able to manage a slow jog during a firefight. I really don't see why there isn't a sprint feature. The left stick-click button isn't used at all in this game. This could have easily been a crouch, sprint, or aLots of fun to be had here, but the game seems like it doesn't want you to be on the ground.     The main problem with this game is that it claims to be a sandbox game, but it seems to shoehorn you into the same method of destruction every time. Fly in, shoot a few things, and fly out when the heat gets to be too much, rinse and repeat. Since the left-stick click has no key binding, it leads me to believe that a sprint function existed at some point, but was retroactively removed in order to encourage players to fight a certain way ( I actually read a forum post by one of the devs that suggested this). The DLC wing-suit with the jet boost really goes a long way to bandage the problem, as the game becomes almost 100% focused on aerial combat after it is obtained, making it extremely fun to always fight in the air.

    That being said, I would have liked to spend more time on the ground, getting to see more of the beautiful world the devs created up close and personal. Unfortunately, the ground-based combat is so dull that it doesn't really seem to break up the pacing between the aerial combat portions. The game would honestly be a 9 for me if you could sprint. I hate that this was the deciding factor for me, but in the end I couldn't get past Rico's slow running speed. Hopefully Avalanche learns from this and improves the on-foot combat in the future.    … Expand

    I actually liked Just Cause 3 a lot, dunno why people hate it so much. Traversing the world using wingsuit and grappling hook is incredibly fun. This is the first open world game where I barely used fast travel even when backtracking.

    Completely unplayable. I've been stuck at the first loading screen indefinitly. I have 101 minutes into this game via Steam, and every single minute was me waiting for it to load on multiple tries. I tried reaching out to the community and trying a variety of fixes but nothing, still stuck. I even watched a full movie on my tablet while having it run on my PC, halfway through the movie, itCompletely unplayable. I've been stuck at the first loading screen indefinitly.     All the time I played the game in between crashes and the 90 hours I played before the game corrupted my save file causing me to start all over again was great. The crashing at least once per session and the loss of all my progress after 90 hours of grind, not so much.

    Upon getting this game on release day i was hyped. Loved just cause 2 with at least 3 playthroughs completed on ps3. Arrived at a new triple A title only to find no SLI support... okay. This meant i was using a 680 instead of a 690. On release day this game was nothing short of unplayable. I just love 30fps medium settings at 1080p,, truly glorious. After waiting for some drivers and a couple of patches I got stuck in, and was having great fun. Stuttering on a 4790k aside, i was having fun.
    So lets talk gameplay.
    - The wingsuit, was a very logical and good edition to Just Cause, it aloud for mobility (without vehicles) to be increased massively, although difficult at first, a lot of fun once mastered.

    - Vehicles feel a lot better than in just cause 2 mostly down to the work of Criterion Games who did a fantastic job, except motorbikes, they are horrendous and easily one of the worst things to drive in any game. Lots of vehicle choice with plenty of detail.

    - Challenge scores and Feats that once set your friends can try and beat, a lot of fun to be had. However many of the challenges are incredibly buggy (especially bomb blasts) this 9 times of 10 stop them from being fun and make them more of a chore and an absolute nuisance.

    - Upgrades, not much needs to be said, they are great edition and really help with a sense of progretion throughout the game, good job.

    - Graphics, oh my. Run in 4k on a Titan X Pascal, its nothing short of stunning. Render distances could be improved but apart from that a true feast for the eyes.

    - Story, no spoilers, is a lot of fun but has dodgy characters and terrible pacing with live rendered cut scenes that most of the time go wrong in some way.

    Now, comes for the real problems. Im currently running a 5960x at 3.3ghz and the game doesnt stutter at all even in massive moments of destruction. However it should not be necessary to own a £1000 cpu just to get the game to be smooth. The developers need to get there act together. My game would crash after about 4 hours of play without fault, there are still VRAM leak bugs that havnt been bothered to be fixed. And although I would say compared to most people my game ran well I know a friend with a 6700k and GTX 1080 and the game would flat out refuse to run in full screen without crashing.

    However many hours of enjoyment I have had out of this title I cannot overlook the fact that the Devs released a broken game and have refused to fix it.

    Overall I would give this game a 5/10

    p.s. Dont get me started on the DLCs what a cash grabbing joke, 60% of the time they are absolutely horrendous and the rest of the time they are crashing. They break all of the balance in the game and unless you can get them all for under £5 i wouldn't go anywhere near them.    … Expand

    I was pretty hard to launch the game first time. It crashed few times, hung my PC few times... When I finally managed to start it - it worked perfectly. But it looks like it manages to start only few times in a week. Other times it tells that I have no internet connection and freezes (my connection is perfect by the way), or just freezes on a first loading screen.

    The makers of Just Cause 3 obviously took a very close look at Far Cry 4.
    However, execution is sub par in my opinion.
    The AI in this game is lame, to say the least.
    Blowing stuff up is fun at first, until you realize all missions are more or less the same, then it gets old really fast.
    Long term playability is limited.

    I found to be game to be really good control-wise even on PC. The graphic engine is used to great effect, and mechanically the controls are fun and engaging. i found the maps to be pretty but empty of any semblance to reality so the endless shoot-explode-flee trope is just not good after a few hours for me.
    I find this is great execution of poor design in my opinion. The programming is excellent but the whole game design is just not fun for a "mature" player. This is arcade fluff, tasty at first but not that good in the long run. Ima rate it 50% for the initial fun. You may have a blast for a few hours, who knows.    … Expand

    I never played previous parts of Just Cause therefore the plot was a bit confusing but it didnt prevent me from having fun blasting everything. This aspect it simply amazing so if you dont care about the plot and simply want to blast things gor for it.

    Don't buy it! Really irritating and not worth even $9 IMO. The game has so much potential, but it is wasted. Story is basically the same as in the 2nd part. Gameplay gets boring after a couple of hours. I stopped playing after about 20 attempts to "Protect Rosa's plane" - it's impossible. My guided rockets don't work and the plane is to slow to catch up. That was it for me.

    the poor work that the developers team did about optimization was terrible.

На самом деле, эта игра очень помогает отвлечься от более серьезных проектов и немного отдохнуть в хаосе, без каких-либо диалогов и долгих роликов, а небольшим бонусом к отдыху будет тонна примитивного американского юмора (аля фром Serious Sam или Mad Max), скажем так, Just Cause - это много бюджетный серьезный Сэм с более продуманным, но все равно слабым сюжетом. Заниматься здесь всегда будет чем, особенно, если вы намерены полностью закончить игру и пройти каждое испытание на 5 шестерен, это действительно интересно и занятно. Главной же изюминкой этой части стал вингсьют, он реализован здесь просто потрясающе, благодаря этой игре, я понял как это круто и интересно и теперь с нетерпением жду The Steep от Ubisoft, где продолжу заниматься такой деятельностью в играх! Спасибо за эту прекрасную игру, и я очень надеюсь, что это не последняя ее часть.
    Ну а что еще нужно для хорошего экшена? Здесь вам море взрывов, динамика просто зашкаливает и чуть ли не приближается к DOOM ибо двигаться надо всегда, иначе многовероятная погибель, несильный сюжет и все это под добротную, веселую озвучку персонажа. Я очень доволен игрой и ни капли не пожалел, что ее купил (пол года назад), единственное, на нескольких трасах по вингсьюту я чуть не разбил свою клавиатуру... это единственный минус...

    Моя итоговая оценка: 8/10, очень хорошая игра, в которую я рекомендую поиграть каждому любителю экшенов.    … Expand

    I think that Just Cause is better than Grand theft auto(this is just my opinion).I never played GTA and never will.I don't like games where you play as the bad guy.That's exactly the reason I prefer Just Cause.Rico is a hero.Well maybe he does kill some civilians here and there,but at least he saves the world.

During one mission, where I was forced to drive a vehicle fitted with a bomb into an enemy convoy, I was barely able to escape with my life by ejecting myself from the car in the nick of time, flipping over the extremely HUGE explosion that then propelled me several feet both in the air and away from the blast! During flight I was able to regain equilibrium and shoot my grappling hook nearby to land in such a way that I barely escaped with my life! It was SO INTENSE!! That was a HELL OF A FUN TIME THERE! There are quite a few other interactions that really just tickled my fancy, such as an encounter with my first ever authority figure on Medici! An officer gave me a snarky look so I attached my Ghook to his leg and quickly to the nearest speeding vehicle (which happened to be caught in a traffic loop) that promptly took him from pointing his weapon at my face to landing on his and scrapping it across the pavement. His partner, calling for backup and advancing toward me, was hilariously caught up by the dead body of his friend swinging around with such force that it busted his skull, killing him and effectively preventing him from calling for backup! That's what I call first impressions! I almost feel automatically obligated to compare the game to other open world games. The first one for me that comes to mind (despite its differing point of view for the gamer) is Farcry 4! Getting around in that game is just the bees knees! This game ups the UNTZ factor by a thousand in giving you the grappling hook, wing suit, parachute combo! YOU FEEL AS COOL AS BATMAN! There were a few instances in which I felt like Rico might actually best the Dark Knight considering how amazingly dynamic he is! Pulling down statues, then driving the getaway vehicle head on into an enemy vehicle only to have jumped out seconds before, parachute open and guns blazing! It really gets the adrenaline pumping! All in all, it's about how much fun you can have. That depends greatly on the kind of person you are. Coming into this game, my expectations were exactly what I received, a similar experience to the last outing (which was very fun) with little to no story line to care about! To be fair, this game COULD have gotten a much better score if the developer cared more about polishing the wonky bits (there is SO MUCH GOING ON that a lot of graphical and physics weirdness occurs on a regular basis) and really making the characters people we can actually care about, they might be a contender for GTA... ok, that's WAY TO FAR, but still...     at first the game was fun but later it just gets worse and worse , Missions have such a high difficulty ( or rather many enemies that always hit xou , even though walls / boats ) and its not fun at all

You WILL not be able to use a jet or helicopter to take down a base. At all. It must all be done on foot, all without the ability to even so much as CROUCH.

    Everything that was fun and awesome about Just Cause 2 is completely MIA here. Absolutely anything fun in this game is either gated behind unfair AI, grindy minigames, or arbitrary "defense systems". Save your money and stay away from this game. It's barely worth the two hours you'll spend with it before wanting to gouge out your own eyeballs, and *definitely* not worth whatever price you'd pay for it.    … Expand

The car physics are a joke, when I went to ram a tuk tuk with my truck, I almost stopped and the truck did a wheelie. All in all, an unpolished and unfinished game which's fun only at the beginning… Expand

    I'll start by saying that I was a HUGE fan of the second game in the series. Easily one of the biggest, most immersive games I've ever played. This game is the exact same size, but don't let that fool you. There may be the same amount of square mileage in the game, but somehow the developers managed to make it feel smaller by having less actual settlements (there are only about 100 totalI'll start by saying that I was a HUGE fan of the second game in the series. There may be the same amount of square mileage in the game, but somehow the developers managed to make it feel smaller by having less actual settlements (there are only about 100 total settlements in the game, JC 2 had over 250, with extra chaos objects scattered around the world). Even knowing this, I still was willing to give it a shot. Then I tried literally everything the game had to offer. The races: not much different from Just Cause 2, but the physics of driving makes the cars feel weightless, like little feathers that can get thrown from the road after hitting a simple bump or pebble. Fail. The air races: the plane controls are unresponsive. It feels like you're trying to turn the entire earth on its axis using little more than a finger. Fail. The demolition challenges: half the time you get pigeon-holed into using a single weapon inadequately suited for the task at hand. If you DO manage to find a tank or helicopter that you can use instead, I would refer you to the aforementioned bit about driving and flying. Fail. The boat races: sometimes the amount of time to get 5 stars is more than enough, but other times, you're using every last drop of nitrous to get a 2 star score. Fail. The wingsuit courses: fine control of the wingsuit is difficult, but it's made even more difficult when half the checkpoints are literally 2 feet off the ground (sometimes with rocks or trees spawning inside them) combined with nearly 90 degree turns that cause Rico to go spinning out of control like a dreidel spun by the Incredible Hulk. Fail. These would all be forgivable shortcomings, until you realize that these challenges are also tied into the upgrade system, so if you want better stuff, you're gonna have to grind for it for hours, achieving what feels like very small rewards (i.e. faster drop recharge times- if you have to order anything from a drop, you're just being lazy; literally everything you need can be found in the game world). Upgrades are possible, but if you want the really high end upgrades, like the ability to fold up your wingsuit and grapple into a mountainside instead of faceplanting into it like a bug on a car windshield, prepare to grind. Then there's the actual settlements. Clearing the towns is kind of stupid because you have to take over a police station, requiring you to generate a certain preset amount of chaos, but if you accidentally destroy one of the objects inside before letting your buddies in, good luck reaching that amount without having to steal a military car or two and driving it inside the station solely to blow it up (you don't get credit for chaos outside the base walls). Clearing military settlements is a little fun, but you're constantly dealing with hordes of enemies. This wouldn't be a problem if Rico were as invincible as he was in the second game, but somewhere between then and now he seems to have had his old adamantium wolverine-like bones replaced with cotton candy. It is ridiculously easy to die. Case in point: in JC 2, you could take 2 or 3 solid hits from rocket projectiles fired from tanks, helicopters, etc. Good luck if you get touched by any rocket propelled anything in this game. Rico turns into a big pile 'o dust. That was what made JC 2 so fun. Then we come to the missions. In JC 2, half the fun of the missions was listening to the cutscene dialogue. Every character in the game seemed somewhat self-aware that this was a B action movie and the writing was just terrible, so it all seemed very tongue-in-cheek. This game actually tries to be a good action movie, but it still has the same crappy writing and plot-line. The result is a painful series of cutscenes surrounded by what is actually pretty good mission design, in most cases (with one glaring exception). That exception comes about halfway through the plot. I won't go into plot detail in case you still want to play this train wreck. Suffice to say it involves intercepting a friendly plane and escorting it. But, oh no, there's an aerial ambush planned (see what I mean when I say the plot is crappy). So it logically starts you off in a plane located about 1.5 km away from your escort target, but the planes trying to intercept your ally somehow have engines fit for Apollo shuttles, so they close the distance much quicker. This leaves you with having to snipe the planes from a distance. It would be great if there was a lock-on function, but there isn't. It would be great if the plane you were in had nitrous, but it doesn't. It would be great if the plane controls were a little more responsive, but they aren't. All-in-all, this single mission finally put me over the top with trying to deal with all the little issues and made me say, "Screw it." Learn from my misadventures. Don't buy this game.… Expand

    Laziest PC port ever. Can't even be arsed to properly map the esc key and uses ctrl by default instead. Be prepared to spend an hour remapping keys if you are a keyboard/mouse player. (and apparently it won't remember them). I want my $15.00 back. How is this remotely acceptable?
    Also, no borderless windowed mode.

    Stunning graphics and atmosphere. Very explosive gameplay. If you've played JC2 you'll know what to expect. It's an incredible sandbox that allows all sorts of weird creations and adventures. 9/10 would splode again.

    After playing titles like GTA5, Uncharted 4, this game does not deserve better than 5 or 6. The cut-scenes are lame, the game is really repetitive, the characters are average are best. I am not saying this is a worthless game, but preeeeeety average compared to the real A titles.

    It boasts some great improvements over the previous game of the series, but does not evolve the formula in any significant way. It looks better and lets you glide in a wingsuit, but its scale is not surprising anymore. It lets you unleash wonderful chaos in unscripted skirmishes, but its story missions fail to enrich the experience. All the same it is my kind of game. I love playing with its systems, I appreciate the effort put into JC3 and I return to Medici from time to time for condensed doses of havoc. [01/2016, p.48]

    Just Cause 3 is a monument to excess. It’s Hot Shots. It’s Charlie Chaplin in The Dictator, if Charlie Chaplin had rocket-powered C4 in his boots. It’s that scene in Dr. Strangelove where Slim Pickens rides the nuke into Russia, except...well, no, it’s pretty much exactly that scene on repeat for 25-30 hours.
