  • Summary: Jet Gunner is a 2D platform action indie game that's full of Nestalgia. Full of action, gunfights, bosses and explosions so if you're into the whole 8-Bit vibe you should love this.
From the sound, to the graphics to the flicker, this should pay tribute to those classic hard as nails,

Jet Gunner is... meh, it is not a terrible game nor is it a fantastic game!

Jet Gunner is an nostalgic NES-style game, which kinda reminds me of Shovel Knight and other games of this type.

The game is really hard, from beginning to end, once you die, it resets everything (kind of like a rogue-like game), the enemies are really hard. Once you reach a certain stage and you get killed, you lose everything, which can be very annoying, as the enemies are difficult! And another thing that put me off, no easy difficulty, especially for a hard game like this one!

Ammo and health is really limited, and since the level of difficulty is on medium, if you meet one of the enemies of the game with little health, your ♥♥♥♥ed

Now to the recommendation, for its full price, I would not recommend it, BUT if it is either in a sale, price drop, giveaway, gift or even given to you as a free game, or if you like the level of difficulty or the old NES-style of the game, then I would recommend it.

If you like rouge-like challenging games like They Bleed Pixels, Super Meat Boy and other games of that type or maybe you like the style of the game like Castlevania and CONTRA from the old NES, than this is the game for you, otherwise don't bother!
