    Jagged Alliance 2 is one of the best games around in the tactical turn-based strategy space. The banter and clash of personalities between your rag-tag team of mercs is just the icing on the cake.

    There are several games that i'll always have installed no matter what and Jagged Alliance 2 is one of them. This game is truly a jewel, i simply cannot find any flaws speaking of patched version with mod v1.13. Ever since opening email from Psych Pro Inc. until the end every strategist will be in heaven. I just can't think of any tactical turn-based strategy even close to this game inThere are several games that i'll always have installed no matter what and Jagged Alliance 2 is one of them. This game is truly a jewel, i simply cannot find any flaws speaking of patched version with mod v1.13. Ever since opening email from Psych Pro Inc. until the end every strategist will be in heaven.     Actually its 2012 im still playing this title from time to time, in the last years using always the awesome 1.13 mod.
    Ja2 is a tbs military game with rpg elements, side quests, exploration and more.
    I think that still its by far the best turn based strategy game ever made, and beside the fact its not perfect for sure, especially the AI is quite basic, anyway its a game that any player    Actually its 2012 im still playing this title from time to time, in the last years using always the awesome 1.13 mod.

    This is easily one of the best games I've played in my life, especially if you add some mods (1.13 mod preferred).
    Forget the most recent "Back in Action" cashgrab attempt, stick to JA2.
    It is almost unelieveable that this game can still bring a lot of fun after so many years.     Proper tactical turn based combat, incredible amount of options make this game fun to play no matter how many times I've already finished it. There's always a different strategy, different approach. Each walktrough is unique and most importantly very enjoyable.

    It saddens me when I see all of those modern games with fancy graphics but poor gameplay. You just finish them in a couple of hours nad never bother wit them again, while in 1.13 mod I had single battles that lasted about an hour.

    There was very little things that I didn't like in this game.
    But there was TONS of things that I loved in this game!
    This is one of turn based games LEGEND :)

    With (or without) the 1.13 mod, its one of the best games ever made.. brilliant storyline and gameplay that made me spent hundreds and hundreds of hours into this amazing title.. Too bad that its recent successors are messy disappointments.

    I've had this game installed on every computer I've owned for almost... yeah, 15 years. It's that good. Jagged Alliance 2 combines an extremely deep tactical combat system with hilarious characters, elements of financial strategy, and what could only be described as "gun porn". A special mention should be made for the mod v1.13: get it. It adds even more weapons, abilities andI've had this game installed on every computer I've owned for almost... yeah, 15 years. It's that good. Jagged Alliance 2 combines an extremely deep tactical combat system with hilarious characters, elements of financial strategy, and what could only be described as "gun porn".     Best game of it's kind. Just recently played it again with mods and liberating the little country from the evil dictator is still fun because the game takes it's greatness from the tactical combat and the fun from that isn't diminished by the long since outdated visual presentation. (Elliot you idiot!)

    The merces you hire have unique characters, tons of weapons to pick, modify, load with another tons of ammunition. Epic fights with dozens of possibilitys how to win or loose.

    The best turn-based strategy game ever! A lot of mercs with individual skills, individual weapon preference. Realations between the mercs can infulence the game. Every stat has its own value for the game. Generally good AI. The game is available via Gog and Steam which is great. Lots (!!) of guns with different characteristics.     For cons: I would say that nowadays the resolution is low, you can use some hacks to advance the game really fast (like going to the edge of the screen and advancing to the next section), but it's generally your decising if you exploit that or not, so I would not say this is big deal.    … Expand

    21 years after its release, this game still stands unmatched in its field. Tactical small units turn based combat with a management back ground has never before (or after) been portrayed more vividly. Very often emulated, but never equalled. the version to play is 1,13. Certainly for me, the best game EVER.

    An amazing Turn Based strategy game, that still holds up. Tons of replay value. Lots of comic relief. Good combat system and a whole country for the players to explore. The difficulty is just right, the arsenal of weapons is rich enough. There is a Plethora of colorfull characters to choose from. Each merc has their own personality and works well with some, while disliking others. Lots ofAn amazing Turn Based strategy game, that still holds up. Tons of replay value. Lots of comic relief.     Its one of my first game on PC. In 2017 still interesting to play. I wonder if somebody make HD remastered copy. Only better graphic perfect for the ideal now.

    Too niche game that did not get a big franchise, but died in the bud. Too sad that no game developer will make a qualitative continuation

    One of the best games ever. I will keep it on my PC forever. If you haven't played it because you are young, please do. After you're done with the game, go to the fans' forums and install the 1.13 mod. Replay the game with it, at a much higher difficulty.
    The level of depth of this game hasn't yet been matched by any other game, even after all these 14 years. It really feels like a world,    One of the best games ever. Mechanics are simple to understand yet offers wide variety of tactical options, skill up system where you improve skills that you use and is very satisfying somehow, with suprisingly competent AI that can be very clever with flanking (you constantly have to check your flanks because guess what, if their friends are dying on one spot, they're looking to avoid that area), with great mod support that is still active made it last way beyond its lifetime. Frankly, every "bestselling" turn-based game ive played in recent years just fails to impress me thanks to this one game. They never managed to replicate it, just like Heroes3, this game is a must-play classic for every Turn-based Strategy fan. (if im being honest, every gamer should play it) Just play it with 1.13 mod.… Expand

    The best turn-based tactics video game to date. XCOM 2 should have learned from this title that characters with personalities are way better than procedurally generated crap.

    JA2 is....no, you cant explain...new gamers won't play it because of our reviews...but its BIG part of my life, its more than just a game. Very very good part..

    One of the best games I ever played as a child Tactic finesse, a gddamn perfect presentation you'd never see in today's games makes it a gem

    one of the best turn based strategy games out there. there are also exceptional mods in the web that add new features and options in the game and provide even deeper tactical depth
