    Short review:

Random stuff simulator 2016 Cool art Long(er) review: I always feel bad leaving negative reviews for games where I feel the dev actually tried to do something good and special. I do belive this is the case here, but in the end, I just didn't feel this game had any value to me at all and toward the end I got pretty impatient just to get it over with, unfortunately

I do belive this is the case here, but in the end, I just didn't feel this game had any value to me at all and toward the end I got pretty impatient just to get it over with, unfortunately (and this game is pretty short).

And just to make it clear, I'm the kind of guy who does enjoy those short, indie titles, but not here.

I did appreciate the artistic style, it was interesting and original and surely required quite an imagination. But I just felt it goes nowhere, I just kept clicking stuff and waiting, listening to some rather irritating noises in the background.

Odd as it is, Islands was pretty beautiful to see, and quite a few moments have become part of my wallpaper gallery, but I'll admit that there's very little to do and really no story to folow unless you are willing to invent your own. If you are willing to pay and play a game just for its visuals and you're into minimalistic and plant-related aesthetics, this might be it.

This game made me feel a lot of dread, and I say that in the best way possible. Everything felt eerie and just slightly off and it made for a beautiful, wonderful experience. It was pretty short but every scene felt surreal and claustrophobic but left me wanting more. Don't even think about catching up on the thoughts of the designers, or wonder how crazy the puzzles can be with such simple color patterns and low-poly models. This game is art.
