It’s one of the most fun and frantic local multiplayer experiences in recent memory.

If you’re on the hunt for a new competitive game to play with friends, Inversus is a solid choice given its price and its unique concept. However, unless you’re confident you’ll be able to recruit some friends to play with, you might want to look elsewhere for your next indie fix.

It's a smart game. It's also unforgiving and unaffectionate. Inversus is so clean-cut and direct that it rewards nothing but skill. Compare it to other party games like TowerFall, BlazeRush, Nidhogg, and you will see that they thrive on chaos and uncertainty, and turn them into their main source of fun.

It's a basic shooter but with a unique twist: your bullets invert the tiles into walls for the other player to overcome. The art in this game is simple, yet polished. I enjoyed my time in the single player arcade mode, but as I mentioned this game was clearly intended for two players. Overall, this game has great production value but is maybe a little too simplistic for a single player experience. Make sure you have a friend to play this with. Full Review »
