Mar 16, 2022The story revolves around a girl living her past and jumping obstacles in a shadow realm. You control the object in the environment to help the girl reach the end to watch a cutscene. Concept-wise its good but gets quite irritating when you have to restart if you miss it by a mm. I am glad the dev gave a skip option for the level since some levels are buggy and infuriating

Oct 20, 2021In the end, In My Shadow just isn't very compelling. The lack of control when jumping is a bad combination for both the finicky object placement mechanics and the precision needed to make those important leaps. Meanwhile, the story lacks focus, which makes the ending even more unsatisfying. The game may be fine for those looking for a platforming challenge, but everyone else won't miss much by skipping this one.

Jun 1, 2021Across three hours, In My Shadow has a few puzzles that might make you stand up in your chair. But the rest of the dull, fiddly shadow-moving experience will make you wish you turned out the lights and had a nap instead.

Apr 30, 2021These puzzles are challenging but invigorating. The short of it is this: you’ll need to push specific objects around, which will cast a shadow on the wall for her shadowy figure to traverse through. That said, everything else about the game is not as memorable—from its overwrought music to its clunky visuals. In My Shadow veers between sheer monotony and needless melodrama. Which makes it difficult to stomach.
