    Great Metroidvania! You're gonna love their works.
    A definite recommendation for any metroidvania or souls-like fan.

    if you like the souls-like and 2d style games and you must like this one. This is a true hidden gem and as of right now indie of the year for me.

    Level design is excellent with all areas of the map being somehow connected to each other. Really freakin hard but very satisfying when you win. 100%'d this and really enjoyed it.
    Overall, a good game dude.

    Movement and combat are both silky smooth. The boss fights get very challenging but the process of beating them is almost always fun. I recommend this game to people who like expansive worlds and metroid or castlevania games. Recommend playing to completion.

    Frankly, I think HunterX would make an much better side-scroller with linear progression than the subpar Metroidvania that it is — I may come back to it after a few more patches and when my frustration dies down, but I really can’t HunterX right now, especially with so many other better titles to choose from.
