    Have decided to replay the game and decided to improve the rating to a 1/10 (hooray.) The game still suffers from many issues regarding gameplay, story, voice acting and more. Earlier missions it does somewhat of a job guiding you in the right direction though that is quickly lost when moving on to the next missions. Have been in many situations where I'm running around the map wondering where I'm intended to go for something to just *happen* out of nowhere. The story makes little to no sense and would be an insult to even consider this as a fan story to either of the two Half-Life games. And of course the obvious jab of using YouTubers and Content Creators for the voice acting instead of... actual voice actors that dedicate their entire career to voice acting in things like video games.

    Overall, while there have been slight improvements, the game still suffers from almost all the issues it originally released with. Therefor why I still gave the game a terrible rating.    … Expand

    This game was so bad it made Valve make a new Half-Life game. I still want you to buy it though, because it truly must be seen to be believed.

    There is nothing good in the game. Copycat of metal gear solid and half life 2. Nothing to have fun. No freedom, so many bullsh** cutscenes. No goood voice acting. No good character models. No good stuff

    A literally unplayable bug-fest. I can't even give this game the usual pity 2 points because there's no effort put into this game whatsoever.

    Voice acting:
    The voice acting for most scenes and gameplay is pretty decent, however, these devs thought it would be a good idea to ask YouTubers or other influencers to voice for their game. Gameplay: The gameplay itself isn't bad. It feels like a modern shooter, which is a good thing. The only big flaw here is that on Hard mode, you deal way to few    This game isn't really good.

    Singleplayer:
    The singleplayer is probably the reason why this game isn't good. The story itself makes sense, but the execution of it went wrong. There are many assets stolen from other franchises and games, and there is a good amount of bugs.
    Cutscenes:
    The cutscenes are probably the best part of this game. They used source filmmaker. The cutscenes themselves look really good.
    Price:
    It's 8€. That is way too expensive for a mod like this. If this game would've been free, it would've got half the hate. This game isn't worth the money.    … Expand

    Low quality cashgrab that stole assets and wasn't even properly completed. Bugs and glitches galore. Don't waste your money or time on this one.

    This "game" shouldn't even be on steam. Basically the level design is the most amateurish design I have seen in my entire life (I am a source developer myself too). Voice acting is god awful as well. All in all, just a big cash-grab.

    So, Hunt down the freeman is a cringe-fest that shouldn't be classed as a game, due to the fact half the game is just stolen from other, good, games. This "game" feels like a mod for half-life 2, which is beacuse... it is. This game started out as a mod half-life 2 and it shows. Unlike the Stanly Parable, another game that was just a mod but was made into a stand    YOU F**KED UP MY FACE

The only good voice acter is who ever plays G-Man compared to the rest of the "actors" there an award-winning performer, and even they say some pretty cringy **** like the now infamous, Black Mess-ah line.     For anyone saying that this game is a Prospekt 2.0, let me tell you that you're all wrong, this game is by far, much worse. I'll start telling that this game is an effortless asset flip and feels literally like a random Garry's Mod map filled with NPCs with mindless killing as purpose. The voice acting is terrible, the game is a bug fest, some NPCs are so broken that they can kill you fromFor anyone saying that this game is a Prospekt 2.0, let me tell you that you're all wrong, this game is by far, much worse. The voice acting is terrible, the game is a bug fest, some NPCs are so broken that they can kill you from afar, the story writing feels like a cheap fan fiction written by some bored kids that have been watching a lot of Hollywood movies, the gunplay is terrible, the optimization is literally non-existent, the AI is broken and the game itself is inconsistent, everything feels out of place or odd.
    I honestly don't know how did this "game" end up on Steam, considering that this is a real mess and it's even worse than Prospekt with literally nothing good to mention about it.    … Expand

    This is easily the worst fanfiction I have ever seen. Hell, Coldsteel The Hedgehog has more depth to his character than Mitchell.
    I will also cite the obvious:
    -Broken glitches. -Some sequences don't trigger. -Very vague objectives forcing the player to experiment to complete the story. -Very immense levels (that are not even open-world to make the wound ever bigger). -Textures are    This is easily the worst fanfiction I have ever seen.     -An enormous amount of stupid bugs that should not have been there to begin with.
    -The game loves to crash.
    -To beat the game, you often need to use cheats.
    -Stupid enemy AI.

    You'll be hunting down the Freeman alright; hunting down where he actually is in this 'game'. Sir-not-appearing-in-this-game aside this mod is horrendous, with barely functioning gameplay, a joke of a story, terrible voice acting and characters and glitches so common and game-breaking that using console commands is mandatory for completion no one should ever subject themselves to thisYou'll be hunting down the Freeman alright; hunting down where he actually is in this 'game'.     Terrible game. After an amazing trailer, multiplayer delays, and a decent amount of hype, Hunt Down The Freeman is an awful experience. This is bad even by modding standards. Stolen assets, bad voice acting, bad pronunciation, embarrassing glitches, and terrible graphics. Hunt Down the Refund, indeed. Hopefully Royal Rudius can get back on their feet and make something good next time.Terrible game.     A glorified Half-Life 2 mod/asset flip. Graphics are awful, and gameplay is very shallow and barebones.

    The game has horrible voice acting, continued by bad map design and the worst thing is the AI.
    The characters are dumb and boring. Very stereotypical. It doesn't have the thing that made Half life great, i know that is an indie game but it's pretty bad.
