    Hotline Miami is far more that what I had imagined when I first saw its screenshots for the first time. "How come my friends are recommending so insistently this 8/16 bits game ?". And here I am, after completing the two episodes, thinking they're definitely both among the best games I've played. Just that.

    Three elements make Hotline Miami great: 1) its gameplay. Although seemingly    Hotline Miami is far more that what I had imagined when I first saw its screenshots for the first time. "How come my friends are recommending so insistently this 8/16 bits game ?". And here I am, after completing the two episodes, thinking they're definitely both among the best games I've played. Just that.

    Three elements make Hotline Miami great:

    1) its gameplay. Although seemingly simple, the gameplay is surprisingly nervous, fast-paced and enjoyable. Seeing the enemies behind the walls allows to plan your actions, but after the first bullet is shot, the adrenaline kicks-in and your reflexes and speed of action have to do the rest. Gory, nervous, just like Jacket really is.

    2) its atmosphere. How can a seemingly retro game make a player feel nervous, crazy, repulsed by the craziness, or enjoy violence ? Yet with cynical details on the characters' faces, sequences of Jacket talking to his masks, or aggressive dialogues, the atmosphere is set and felt intensely. And this aspect is even pushed much further in the second episode.

    3) its scenario. Yes, this game looks like shooting everywhere, but once you reached the end of the game you come to realise many things and that there is a real, well-thought story behind all this. And there again, it's the tip of the iceberg until you play the second episode.

    Add to this divine soundtracks, and you get a true masterpiece. Absolute must-have.    … Expand

    80's Miami was a hub for drugs and violence, you see that clearly in this game.
    You experience it through a crazy, nightmare inducing storyline where nothing is explained to you, you're left alone trying to figure it out as you murder every single person in your path, creating a bloody mess while listening to the most perfect soundtrack maybe ever.

    Recomendado a todos los que no tienen miedo de participar en un viaje lleno de prueba y error, muchas maneras creativas de matar a los enemigos y participar en un loco, sobre la historia muy buena! Y lo más importante ... la banda sonora es brutal!

    This in definitely an incredible indie game. Every single ounce of this game is oozing with style and 80s flair. The soundtrack is easily one of the best i have heard in a video game ever and fits absolutely beautifully to the setting. The combat can be brutally difficult and challenging but also fair. Every time you die you feel like its your fault. The game also has a fair amount ofThis in definitely an incredible indie game. Every single ounce of this game is oozing with style and 80s flair. The soundtrack is easily one of the best i have heard in a video game ever and fits absolutely beautifully to the setting. The combat can be brutally difficult and challenging but also fair. Every time you die you feel like its your fault. The game also has a fair amount of content considering that it has been made by a smaller indie team and will likely give you a good few hours of playtime.

    I find myself coming back to this game frequently, the setting, style, music and combat truly make this game one of the most well made indie game i have ever played.

    I highly recommend this game and think it is a crowning achievement from the developers over at Dennaton games.    … Expand

    a man goes to the doctor. says he's depressed. he says life seems harsh and cruel. says he feels all alone in a threatening world where what lies ahead is vague and uncertain. the doctor says "the treatment is simple. the great clown pagliacci is in town tonight. go and see him, that should pick you up." the man bursts into tears. he says "but doctor... i am pagliacci."

    Hotline Miami - Невероятно драйвовый, двухмерный, пиксельный взрывной экшен 24/7 бросающий вызов. Пока сам не попробуешь, не поймешь в чем суть. Еще и с бомбическим саундтреком и с интересным сюжетом имеющий продолжение в виде второй части игры и даже комиксом. Играется не затянуто и на одном дыхании, всем советую.
    Итог - 7 пранков из 10    САМОРОДОК.

    Прошёл чисто кампанию, без доп уровней. Игра своеобразная конечно же, и довольно крутая, но на мой взгляд не допиленная до 100%.

    Fun birds eye view shooting game i compelted it in around 6-7 hours it very simple nothing complicated only negative is the enemies that can only be killed with guns :/ also its good how masks are not just cosmetics but grant a competitive advantage.

    Me arrependo de ter conhecido Hotline Miami apenas em 2020, no começo do ano, mas não me arrependo também de depois me aprofundar muito nesse jogo, eu amo pixel art, e estilos retros, esse jogo é perfeito pra mim, adoro coisas desafiantes, a soundtrack desse jogo te vicia que nem cocaína, você se sente um sociopata igualmente ao Jacket, eu fico com um sorriso no rosto enquanto explodo aMe arrependo de ter conhecido Hotline Miami apenas em 2020, no começo do ano, mas não me arrependo também de depois me aprofundar muito nesse jogo, eu amo pixel art, e estilos retros, esse jogo é perfeito pra mim, adoro coisas desafiantes, a soundtrack desse jogo te vicia que nem cocaína, você se sente um sociopata igualmente ao Jacket, eu fico com um sorriso no rosto enquanto explodo a cabeça dos mafiosos (meio psicopata da minha parte mesmo). Mas não importa, Hotline Miami tem uma história íncrivel, muito confusa e que vai ter deixar super curioso, ambientação do caralho, gráficos lindos que combinam com as cores fortes e o sangue fluído na tela, sem dúvidas, é um jogo que marcou a minha vida, é um dos únicos jogos que me deixa melhor enquanto estou jogando, eu entro no personagem, me sinto como o Jacket, gasto toda a minha raiva nos mafiosos, me sinto melhor, esse jogo acaba virando a minha salvação de anti estresse, foi uma experiencia única para mim, eu fiquei em choque quando não podia comprar o jogo, jogava a versão pirata todo dia, e hoje me orgulho de poder ter comprado, Hotline Miami pode mudar a sua mente, talvez até a sua vida.… Expand

    Hotline Miami is a kinetic and addictive fever dream of a haunting narrative and pulse pounding gameplay.

    Hotline Miami is only held back by several progression oversights (the survive one bullet mask being found after survive two bullets mask) and consistent bugs (dog behavior/inconsistent doors/enemies running out of the map). However these are minor nitpicks. I highly recommend    Hotline Miami is a kinetic and addictive fever dream of a haunting narrative and pulse pounding gameplay.

    story 9/10 normally I would give 10 but it's really hard to understand the story without research | gameplay 9/10 really fun weapons and melee weapons some kill 2-3 men at the same time | the difficulty of the game is 10/10 the game is really hard but it gets easier the more you play the bad part of the game is really short, it's a game that lasts between 1-2, but if you are not astory 9/10 normally I would give 10 but it's really hard to understand the story without research | gameplay 9/10 really fun weapons and melee weapons some kill 2-3 men at the same time | the difficulty of the game is 10/10 the game is really hard but it gets easier the more you play the bad part of the game is really short, it's a game that lasts between 1-2, but if you are not a professional in the game, it can take 2-3 hours.     This retro styled game with ultra-modern gameplay is a must play in my opinion. It's difficult but it's so good and rewarding. The entire Hotline Miami plot can be difficult to understand at times, so I suggest you go watch a video about it. When you understand it it's a really gripping story and it hits in a certain way, that only red dead    Truly unlike anything you've ever tried.

    This retro styled game with ultra-modern gameplay is a must play in my opinion. It's difficult but it's so good and rewarding.

    The entire Hotline Miami plot can be difficult to understand at times, so I suggest you go watch a video about it. When you understand it it's a really gripping story and it hits in a certain way, that only red dead redemption has been able to do so far.

    The soundtracks are fast and bassy, they fit the vibe so well.

    The game looks stunning, the menu gives a really empty feeling like if nothing really matters. It makes me feel like the main protagonist, Jacket is a nihilist in some way. He also has a really iconic sociopath personality

    Pura loucura em forma retrô tem todas características de um jogo de ação deveria ter, e também é bem desafiador em suas fases cheias de inimigos armados.
    Um jogo curtinho pra se divertir com a rapidez na gameplay que Hotline Miami proporciona, e se você liga pra gráficos em pleno século XXI, deveria apreciar a    Frenético, alucinante e brutal são as palavras que definem Hotline Miami.
    Pura loucura em forma retrô tem todas características de um jogo de ação deveria ter, e também é bem desafiador em suas fases cheias de inimigos armados.

    An extremely fun and fast game if you want to throw some stress this game is exactly for you, I think the only problem was in the section where the panthers were in that part I was very difficult to do it was unnecessary I think it was not the main boss battle anyway.

    This game is the best example of an excellent indie game, the soundtrack is magnificent, the gunplay is satisfactory but with its difficulty and the art of the game is beautiful

    the third indie that I love and I hate indie games a lot because they always have the same mediocre and poor style and I don't care that they were made by few people, but I would like to enjoy hotline miami as the first time.

    I love everything about this game everything!!!!! every minute detail!!!!! Psychedelic vibes to gameplay and especially story. A blessing of a game.

    Cool game with awesome vibe. Best part of the game, is music. Interesting/tricky plot. Game mechanics isn't best, some control are bugged. But it's a vibe-game.

    From the get-go, Miami’s presentation has a unique style, with vivid colors, generous amounts of post-process filtering and a stunning soundtrack (you will just let the game play on, only to hear the tracks). But at the same time, all notions of continuous fast-paced action gameplay disappear. Hotline Miami is essentially a top-down stealth game, that rewards the player with imaginative (and quite violent) kill animations. [January 2013]
