    Cool game with awesome vibe. Best part of the game, is music. Interesting/tricky plot. Game mechanics isn't best, some control are bugged. But it's a vibe-game.

    This one got me looking at indie games from that day on. Simple and addictive gameplay, great soundtrack, and even a nice little plot. I absolutely recommend it.

    the third indie that I love and I hate indie games a lot because they always have the same mediocre and poor style and I don't care that they were made by few people, but I would like to enjoy hotline miami as the first time.

    Pura loucura em forma retrô tem todas características de um jogo de ação deveria ter, e também é bem desafiador em suas fases cheias de inimigos armados.
    Um jogo curtinho pra se divertir com a rapidez na gameplay que Hotline Miami proporciona, e se você liga pra gráficos em pleno século XXI, deveria apreciar a    Frenético, alucinante e brutal são as palavras que definem Hotline Miami.
    Pura loucura em forma retrô tem todas características de um jogo de ação deveria ter, e também é bem desafiador em suas fases cheias de inimigos armados.
    Um jogo curtinho pra se divertir com a rapidez na gameplay que Hotline Miami proporciona, e se você liga pra gráficos em pleno século XXI, deveria apreciar a estética incrível que esse jogo faz de Miami nos anos 80/90.

    Uno de los mejores juegos indie jamas creados. La musica es uno de sus puntos fuertes, pocas bandas sonoras encajan tanto con la jugabilidad como en Hotline Miami. La historia es bastante buena y de la jugabilidad ni se diga.

    No le pongo 10 porque aunque es un juego que me encanta en cuanto a historia, jugabilidad, banda sonora etc. Aveces pesa de ser repetitivo, personalmente me    Uno de los mejores juegos indie jamas creados.     An extremely fun and fast game if you want to throw some stress this game is exactly for you, I think the only problem was in the section where the panthers were in that part I was very difficult to do it was unnecessary I think it was not the main boss battle anyway.

    This retro styled game with ultra-modern gameplay is a must play in my opinion. It's difficult but it's so good and rewarding. The entire Hotline Miami plot can be difficult to understand at times, so I suggest you go watch a video about it. When you understand it it's a really gripping story and it hits in a certain way, that only red dead    Truly unlike anything you've ever tried.

    The game looks stunning, the menu gives a really empty feeling like if nothing really matters. It makes me feel like the main protagonist, Jacket is a nihilist in some way. He also has a really iconic sociopath personality

Пиксельный пиксель дизайн великолепен, геймплей динамичный и заставляет думать на ходу, музыку великолепна и приносит чувство нереального вайба. 12/10, как сказал бы Патриарх Верхнего Интернета, но он играет только в ААА игры.Одна из моих первых инди, которую я прошёл от начала и до конца. Еще и с бомбическим саундтреком и с интересным сюжетом имеющий продолжение в виде второй части игры и даже комиксом. Играется не затянуто и на одном дыхании, всем советую.
    Итог - 7 пранков из 10    САМОРОДОК.

    Hotline Miami is a kinetic and addictive fever dream of a haunting narrative and pulse pounding gameplay.

    Hotline Miami is only held back by several progression oversights (the survive one bullet mask being found after survive two bullets mask) and consistent bugs (dog behavior/inconsistent doors/enemies running out of the map). However these are minor nitpicks. I highly recommend    Hotline Miami is a kinetic and addictive fever dream of a haunting narrative and pulse pounding gameplay.

    One of my favourite games of all time Hotline Miami has the best soundtrack gameplay in town. The story is interesting and if you're played Hotline Miami 2 you might be able to make sense of it but if you're playing it for the first time just think of it philosophical questions they giving you

Даже если посмотреть историю твин-стик шутеров, можно увидеть, что самые известные представители оных пришлись уже на наш век, а не на век прошлый, когда игровая индустрия лишь зарождалась.
    Коротко: Hotline Miami - выдающийся сюрреалистический, нуарный (и даже пост-модернистский) опыт современных компьютерных игр, в который стоит поиграть каждому. Одна из самых стильных игр прошлого десятилетия, и все эти эпитеты не мешают быть данной игре действительно увлекательной в геймплейном плане. Крошить пачками русских бандитов, которые чувствуют себя в Майами, как дома, потому что они живут на территории русско-американской коалиции (да, лор здесь тоже действительно увлекательный) - это весело. Иногда нужно помыслить мозгами, иногда нужно действовать по стелсу, и иногда это довольно сложно, но это всегда весело. Ну и я не могу не упомянуть про саундтрек, который тоже задал волну определённой синтвэйв и даунтемпо стилистики в игровой музыке (как не странно, El Huervo, треки которого были весьма запоминающимися в Hotline Miami, были также заглавными в игре SteamWorld Dig 2, которую я прошёл сразу же следующей, ничего об таком совпадении не подозревая. Hotline Miami plays a bit similarly to Grand Theft Auto I and II, but with a much better style and unforgiving difficulty. The good news is that the levels are so short, dying won’t frustrate you. On the contrary, the fast and addictive gameplay will make you repeat the same levels over andOne of the best indie games, a spectacular achievement which paved the way for many other indies. Hotline Miami plays a bit similarly to Grand Theft Auto I and II, but with a much better style and unforgiving difficulty. The good news is that the levels are so short, dying won’t frustrate you. On the contrary, the fast and addictive gameplay will make you repeat the same levels over and over and you will feel a good sense of accomplishment when you manage to complete a level. Sound design is superb.

    I was told by many friends that I should try this. The screenshots hadn’t drawn me in and with regards to being way too late to jump into Hotline Miami bandwagon, I plead guilty. Hotline Miami is psychedelic, violent and often sick. Once you get the hang of it, you won’t put it down. Choose your favorite mask and enjoy playing the psycho killer.

    This in definitely an incredible indie game. Every single ounce of this game is oozing with style and 80s flair. The soundtrack is easily one of the best i have heard in a video game ever and fits absolutely beautifully to the setting. The combat can be brutally difficult and challenging but also fair. Every time you die you feel like its your fault. The game also has a fair amount ofThis in definitely an incredible indie game. Every single ounce of this game is oozing with style and 80s flair. Every time you die you feel like its your fault. The game also has a fair amount of content considering that it has been made by a smaller indie team and will likely give you a good few hours of playtime.

    I find myself coming back to this game frequently, the setting, style, music and combat truly make this game one of the most well made indie game i have ever played.

    80's Miami was a hub for drugs and violence, you see that clearly in this game.
    You experience it through a crazy, nightmare inducing storyline where nothing is explained to you, you're left alone trying to figure it out as you murder every single person in your path, creating a bloody mess while listening to the most perfect soundtrack maybe ever.

And here I am, after completing the two episodes, thinking they're definitely both among the best games I've played. Just that.

    Three elements make Hotline Miami great: 1) its gameplay. Although seemingly    Hotline Miami is far more that what I had imagined when I first saw its screenshots for the first time. "How come my friends are recommending so insistently this 8/16 bits game ?". And here I am, after completing the two episodes, thinking they're definitely both among the best games I've played. Just that.

    Three elements make Hotline Miami great:

    1) its gameplay. Although seemingly simple, the gameplay is surprisingly nervous, fast-paced and enjoyable. Seeing the enemies behind the walls allows to plan your actions, but after the first bullet is shot, the adrenaline kicks-in and your reflexes and speed of action have to do the rest. Gory, nervous, just like Jacket really is.

    2) its atmosphere. How can a seemingly retro game make a player feel nervous, crazy, repulsed by the craziness, or enjoy violence ? Yet with cynical details on the characters' faces, sequences of Jacket talking to his masks, or aggressive dialogues, the atmosphere is set and felt intensely. And this aspect is even pushed much further in the second episode.

    3) its scenario. Yes, this game looks like shooting everywhere, but once you reached the end of the game you come to realise many things and that there is a real, well-thought story behind all this. And there again, it's the tip of the iceberg until you play the second episode.

    I like this game. Vaporwave aesthetics just fit the game. If they weren't, game would be 5/10 or less. Music made me appreciate vaporwave. Definitely a game to play on. Not for casuals though, this game is frustrating. It is a challenge, but maybe too much.

    Hotline Miami delivers a fast-paced, unforgiving, arcade style experience that is quite enjoyable. There are masks which change how your character does his killing. The music is good but all electronic. Short game but sweet. Good for speedrunning.

    Bought for $2.50 on sale, played 7 hours, got half the achievements. Recommended.

    Videojuego brutal, pero brutal de verdad en muchos sentidos. Brutal por lo sangriento que es. Brutal por lo tremendamente adictivo que es. Brutal porque no sabes que le esta pasando al personaje matando a centenares de mafiosos sin fin. El unico punto negativo que le veo al juego es la corta duración, a pesar de que es muy rejugable. Lo compre por 1,5€. Que más le puedo pedir?

    I really liked this game. Had fun most of the time. Got frustrated a lot, but I finished it. It certainly was an experience, I won't forget. Also I love isometry, so the game gets bonus points for that. Pickens approves.

    It's a very addictive, fun and well made game. I highly recommend it to any hardcore gamer. This is not for casuals, in most situations it is a one hit kill for both you and your enemies. I completed the story in under 6 hours, being an average player. It also has great replay value, due to different masks you obtain throughout the game(which give you different skills/weapons).

    я когда узнал что хотлайн маями вышел в 12 году немного встал в ступор потому что как будто это было вчера а в 12 я только создал стим аккаунт вроде... У меня реально проблемы со временем и памятью. Но не суть, хотлайн маями хорошая игра и даже очень, но я не понимаю людей которые типа пиздят про то как правильно в неё играть типа набивай комбо собирай маски, вы че ебанулись? В принципе всю благодарность надо выразить композиторам потому что без музыки точнее без этой музыки той самой драйвовой на которую я еще два года назад подсел но в саму игру прошел только недавно игра бы была без души. Почти всю работу делает музыка а поклацать по мышке это просто приятный бонус и не более. Так что твердую семерку игра заслуживает без проблем.… Expand

    From the get-go, Miami’s presentation has a unique style, with vivid colors, generous amounts of post-process filtering and a stunning soundtrack (you will just let the game play on, only to hear the tracks). But at the same time, all notions of continuous fast-paced action gameplay disappear. Hotline Miami is essentially a top-down stealth game, that rewards the player with imaginative (and quite violent) kill animations. [January 2013]
