A poorly ported, sloppy mess of a game. I bought this game for my 5 year old son who is a Hot Wheels and monster truck fanatic and even he got frustrated with the poor controls of the game.

Clucky unresponsive jerky controls. Even with a gamepad its one big series of over corrections. The graphics are atrocious. This game is console garbage masquerading as a pc game. This title might raise interest with the title, don't even think about it. This is not worth the hard drive space it occupies. Major thumbs down.

I honestly do not understand that score here. I'm a huge fan of arcade racing and I purchased this one in 2023 for like no money and I have to say, it's a well designed and pretty addictive game for like a Trackmania fan, cause it's the same vibe and has A LOT OF CONTENT. And a lot of replayability, if you like optimizing your runs.

I don't understand complaints about the controls. I expected some hell, but it actually controls pretty good with a Xbox 360 controller.

Indeed, it has some learning curve, but that's the point. It has to be difficult. Otherwise it wouldn't be entertaining. But it's not like annoyingly difficult. It's just something that you have to put effort into. Like, not only controlling the car properly, but taking corners ideally, braking where it's necessary (and it's pretty cool in this game). The controls are not clunky, they are just what you'd actually expect driving 300 mph... You have to be careful and precise, that's it. But it's totally doable. It's a matter of learning the controls rather than luck. And, yeah, the controls are pretty responsive.

It's not a never-brake-keep-accellerating-no-matter-what type of game. And I appreciate it for that. Anyways, I like it. It's unique. It's not a standard arcade racer, but rather a Trackmania-like alternative. I love it and I'll keep getting back to it. If you're wondering if it's worth €10 on Eneba - YES, if your IQ is above 100 of course and you understand the idea behind this game.

If Hot Wheels: World’s Best Driver would have been presented to gamers as a free ride, probably we would have not bothered to review it. But since it comes with a hefty price tag attached we were morally forced to sacrifice some of our playtime to tell you to stay far from this game.
