    I know you have all been waiting for my review but I had to think about this one. First of all most professional reviewers gave it a lower score then it deserves. Their reasoning is that it is pretty much the same game as the previous one. The Graphics have not changed much, this is true. The game play has not changed much either. But! (And yes I have a nice butt) How come a game like Splinter Cell which has not changed much at all, except its multiplayer which is very good I might add, got such high scores. In the single player of Splinter Cell you feel as though most of the time someone is leading you by the hand through it. In this game the playing field is wide open. You can play each level many different ways. It is very nicely open ended. If you want to achieve Silent Assassin you have to work for it. Sweat, hide and think. The limited amount of saves adds to the tension .The end is always the same but it is a real involvement to achieve it. It is a console game like Splinter Cell but it is a good well thought out one. An absolute joy to play. For this and other reasons I give it a 10.You can give me more Bells and Whistles. I will take that, but a good involving game is hard to come by. A special note to the makers of Thief 3 AKA Deadly Shadows. If you muck up my favorite game of all time like you did in Deus Ex my pen will be waiting.… Expand

    Hitman is just one of the best games for shoot and! stealth + all the different ways a player can go through the missions.

На 2004 год движок хоть и вытягивал обилие тогдашних новомодных спецэффектов, но графика уже тогда была не самой лучшей. Отдельное спасибо разработчикам за расширенную вариативность устранения цели и доведенную до ума "шкалу подозрения". Музыка от того же Йеспера Кюда заслуживает отдельной похвалы. ИнтерфейсМрачная и пугающая - так можно описать третью часть моей любимой серии игр.     The best one from the Series!
    The physics are Brilliant , (one reason for me finishing this game 15 times so far).
    The soundtrack it's very good. It's a dark atmosphere. Guns are well made , maybe too good recoil. The shooting is so satisfying. The levels from Traditions of Trade (7) to Lee Hong Assassination (11) are just the Remastered version of the levels from Hitman Codename 47,    The best one from the Series!

    The levels from Traditions of Trade (7) to Lee Hong Assassination (11) are just the Remastered version of the levels from Hitman Codename 47, Tho some of them more simplistic or with more details.
    It is also known for the Secret Ghost in the Hotel.

    There should have been more levels or fan made levels, or more games with this type of physics.    … Expand

    The third game in the Hitman series this game has a much darker tone to it than the other games
    Hitman games before it. You can truly explore the dark underworld of a contract killer.

    Really though its just more of the same-old excellent game that was hitman 2 for those stealth shooter fans. Keep in mind that not everyone is one. The freedom factor found in this is a rare privilege in modern day shooter/action games though.

Offering even more variety of weapons, not to mention all the classic snipers, along with dual wielding, not only of the silverballers, but other handguns, SMGs and shotguns.     The game could have scored a perfect 10, but missed the mark. The story and graphics were excellent. The only flaw was to introduce the 4 Lee Hong missions, which I felt could have been avoided or substituted with other missions.     My favourite in the Hitman series, due to the dark and gloomy atmosphere, a bit unusual, but perfectly fitting soundtrack and one the best designed levels in the whole franchise.

    A sequel to the great Hitman series. Stealth is somewhat less rewarded here, and you may find yourself just shooting all enemies because it's easier. Other than that, the levels are as interesting as in the original.

    Hitman Contracts is just amazing Agent 47 assassination's are just awesome.Stealth is the theme of this game.The game play is enjoyable and the storyline is just good.I like this game.

    This game is such intense and scary that I could get away from the screen.
    However, not everything is positive. Unfortunately, the controls are terrible, almost uncontrollable!

    Hitman: Contracts is a very interesting Hitman game when compared to the other ones. This is easily the darkest one and has a pretty chilling atmosphere compared to the rest of the games, with Hitman more vulnerable than in other games. Especially the first couple levels (dealing with a mental asylum and cannibalism) leave a very strong impression. I replayed the game about a year ago,Hitman: Contracts is a very interesting Hitman game when compared to the other ones. This is easily the darkest one and has a pretty chilling atmosphere compared to the rest of the games, with Hitman more vulnerable than in other games. Especially the first couple levels (dealing with a mental asylum and cannibalism) leave a very strong impression. I replayed the game about a year ago, having initially experienced it during my early childhood. The game holds up really well and is still fun to run through, as it (like other Hitman games) has different ways for you to go about beating each given level. It also does a good job polishing the game a little more than the installment preceding it, that being Hitman 2: Silent Assassin. Contracts sometimes seems to be forgotten when talking about Hitman, but it really is a game people (especially Hitman fans) should give a proper run through, it is well worth the experience.… Expand

    HITMAN CONTRACTS is just as good as the second game, it doesn't improve on anything its really HITMAN 2 with different missions.

    The second Hitman game I've played. I think it's an improvement of Hitman 2 SA and remake of Hitman agent 47. The feature is always rainy night during the missions.

    СЮЖЕТ - очередная ложка дёгтя для фанатов серии, хотя я считаю что выглядит всё вполне сносно. По сути почти весь сюжет состоит в том, что нас ведут по нарративу лихорадочных воспоминаний 47го в обёртке сюрра. Для понимания того, что происходит в настоящем, игроку преподносят лишь отрывками, в итоге всё сводится к намёку на ожидание следующей части игры. Конкретно вот жирный приквел "Blood Money" получился.
    ТЕХНИЧЕСКИ - особых графических толчков относительно "silent assassin" не произошло, улучшения совсем незначительные. Разве что из-за новых визуальных эффектов, таких как дождь и ночь практически в каждой миссии, игра действительно может показаться красивее предыдущей.
    Вариативность прохождения некоторых миссий была значительно расширена, но их лишь несколько, многие задания остались скудны на возможности.
    МИНУСЫ - эта часть мне настолько понравилась, что какие-то минусы выделить стало для меня трудной задачей, но всё же я не могу упустить ту же бедноту на вариативность некоторых миссий. Ну и ещё мне не понравилось отсутствие возможности выбирать снаряжение перед заданием, серьёзно, зачем все эти оружия которые нам дают за достижение бесшумного убийцы?    … Expand

    Great successor to the previous Silent Assaisin game. The core game is still the same but with slightly better graphics and new locations.

Nothing new is added here- it's more like an expansion pack, whereas Hitman 2 is a full game. Definitely worth playing if you're a fan of the series or stealth games in general. In terms of evolution, it's hard to find the significance of Contracts within the series as a whole. The only thing that's new is the ability to sedate enemies. Graphics are (slightly) improved over Hitman 2, but what makes Contracts different to the other games in the series is independence. You start the level in your suit, and you literally go and do the objective. There's no complications. Here's the map, here's the guy you need to kill, here's your exit. No money, no expenses. It's all very straightforward. You don't interact with the level or other NPCs, you merely navigate through them. Soundtrack is a bit more dark and gloomy but suits the style of the game. There's no story (unless you classify someone sat in a room daydreaming as a story), and there's no overall aim. You get around 13 levels which, although mostly copied from Codename 47, are much more straightforward and refined. No long adventures or secrets. There are a lot of weapons to collect, including ones awarded only for Silent Assassin rating, but the overall difficulty of the game with respect to the levels themselves is spot on. On the whole, Contracts doesn't do anything original or improve upon its predecessors or evolve the series, but it does make for a good stand-alone game for those who haven't really paid much interest to the series. It's a "filler" game - only existing to bridge the time gap between Hitman 2 and Blood Money. With that in mind, it's still a good game which won't dissapoint anyone.… Expand

    I am a longtime fan of stealth games and I always though Hitman was the best series of the genre. But this was a major step back. It feels like I'm playing Splinter Cell Chaos Theory on expert without quicksave. Which means you have to repeat things over and over until you do it right, and most of the time you are waiting behind cover for something to play out. Which means you have to repeat things over and over until you do it right, and most of the time you are waiting behind cover for something to play out. The strong points of Hitman were: fluidity, flexibility, exploration. Now it's about going through linear levels, with a LOT of repetition because of the lack of quicksaves (sure, saves were limited in higher difficulties on the old game, but I could choose when I wanted it). Today I was playing a level, and I repeated like 15 time the same easy, but long segment because I had a checkpoint before it. If I could choose, I would save it just before I started the hard part. But instead, I gor so bored I turned on the TV to watch while I waited for the same scenes to play out over and over again. And that kills exploration. It kills the spirit of the game, which was to blend in, walk around like a boss, like a predator, only analyzing how to catch the prey and then act on your plan. Also, stop making 47 be hunted. It breaks the game. Another thing: I like the realism of the fact that people recognize you in disguises, but covering my face should not waste instinct. It also breaks the game. That does not mean covering your face should solve all problems, but rather make it take longer for someone to be really suspicious of you. Also, I don't like the point system discouraging me to kill non-targets. I'm a hitman. I should be able to kill scumbags without losing points. You have a lot of different objects and kills, but lose points for doing it? I mean, if they were innocent, that's ok. But losing points for killing bad guys? Really? Also, not having a silenced pistol is a real pain for a game where you have to sneak all the time. Anyway... Hitman is about being set loose in a "playground" where you have to figure out how to infiltrate and kill targets without anyone seeing. Sneaking is something to be done only a fraction of the time, usually just before a kill: NOT all of the time. They took that away and took a lot of the fun with it. That said, I did give it a 7, so it's a respectable game. It's got a few improvements: the fact that taking out all witnesses means other people don't know what you did; the new objects/weapons and attacks; the graphics; the awesome throwing knife kill, the instinct targeting system. I hope the contracts mode is decent, I bet it's much better than the story mode. But frankly, I'm pretty disappointed. This was a major step back in the key aspects.… Expand

    the game is great but it hasn't developed so much than the one before it ,it is like an expansion for hitman two with better graphics some levels will take a long time to beat and some might take you less than 10 minutes in the end it a good game

    In hitman 2 achieving Silent Assassin rank was often harder than other "methods" (a bunch of times it was the easier but well...), in Hitman: Contracts it's all about knowing where your costumes/weapons are, after that it's a piece of cake, and this is bad because there is no challenge. I just took a screenshot of a small unguarded room with tough costume, sniper rifle and remote bomb inside... this total lack of realism doesn't encourage you to continue, actually it does exactly the opposite.

    As wrote before Hitman: Contracts features half brand new missions and half "Codename 47" remake ones. It is disappointing to see that original "Hitman: Codename 47" missions were actually extremely more complex and involved a lot more "puzzle-solving" than "Hitman: Contracts" ones where whole parts have been stripped out like it was nothing.
    Not to mention that there is no plot in this game, it's just meaningless flashbacks and such.

    Gameplay aside, graphics and sound/music are at "Hitman: Silent Assassin" level or maybe even less detailed, which means fairly good but at least 2 years behind.

    So, to recap, the idea of "porting" the best "Hitman: Codename 47" missions with the brand-new Hitman 2 mechanics was extremely nice, but the overall realization of the game/missions was really not good.

    Recommended only if you're not a die-hard Hitman series fan, otherwise just buy "Hitman: Silent Assassin" or even Hitman: Codename 47" instead.    … Expand

    Играл и полностью прошёл игру ещё в детстве, вот решил поиграть вновь. Был немного разочарован.
    Я не знаю, как можно пройти миссию идеально, не посмотрев прохождение или не пройдя эту миссию минимум 1 раз. Естественно я помнил сами миссии, но не помнил как их проходит. Вообщем меня хватило на 3 миссии и я как-то забил.
    Из плюсов: + Ностальгия + Музыка + Первые 4 миссии очень    Играл и полностью прошёл игру ещё в детстве, вот решил поиграть вновь. Был немного разочарован.
    Я не знаю, как можно пройти миссию идеально, не посмотрев прохождение или не пройдя эту миссию минимум 1 раз. Естественно я помнил сами миссии, но не помнил как их проходит. Вообщем меня хватило на 3 миссии и я как-то забил.
    Из плюсов:

    + Неплохие кат-сцены, но очень короткие и в малом кол-ве.
    Минусы:
    - Враги. У них не работает боковое зрение, они глуховаты, туповаты.
    - Угасающий интерес к игре. Пройдя 3 миссии, я пошёл смотреть прохождение, что доставляло мне больше удовольствия, чем моё прохождение. Возможно - это из-за того, что я проходил игру раньше, не знаю. Но повторюсь, что 4 миссия очень хороша, а далее миссии слабее.
    Вообщем начало очень бодрое, а далее интерес упал.
    Спорно получилось. Но начало пройти советую, дальше уже видно будет.    … Expand

    No trae nada nuevo a la saga, misma jugabilidad aunque un poco más simplificada que Silent Assassin; muchas del las misiones del juego son remakes del Codename 47; la historia no es importante en este juego ya que se basa mucho en flashbacks, y aún así es un juego totalmente disfrutable y entretenido con una ambientación mucho más obscura y turbia del Agente 47.

    From the story angle alone Hitman: Contracts is a worthy addition to the series, and will particularly entertain fans of the franchise who’ve played both the predecessors. That said it’s certainly time for some innovation.
