    Hi-Fi RUSH's gameplay, visual design, and music all weave together to create an experience unlike any other hack 'n slash or beat 'em up I've played. The rhythm-based combat is super duper interesting. While I wish they could've done something more with that - like being able to attack on off-beats or utilizing different time signatures - it's still an exhilarating    this game rocks

    Hi-Fi RUSH's gameplay, visual design, and music all weave together to create an experience unlike any other hack 'n slash or beat 'em up I've played. The rhythm-based combat is super duper interesting. While I wish they could've done something more with that - like being able to attack on off-beats or utilizing different time signatures - it's still an exhilarating experience that I adore.

    The visuals remind me of comic books, and the switches between 3D and 2D feel unexpected but not jarring. The cutscenes are excellent, the dialogue is funny, and the characters are booming with personality. Chai could use a bit more work, though. He's just "I wanna be a rockstar baby!!" and I feel like if he had a bit more personality, it could be better received by the public. But that's my two cents.

    Overall, it's a great experience if you want to run through it with story mode in mind, although replayability is lacking. That's not an issue, though, if you plan on just enjoying it from start to finish.    … Expand

    Start off exceptionally with a hack and slash and music beat. However, in the middle of the game, the story and stage sometimes feel stale. However, it bounces back at the end. Recommended for everyone.

    I gotta say, this game is literally one of my favorite games this year. I was literally tapping my foot whenever the music was playing in order to keep sync with the beat, which is pretty damn cool. in my opinion, this is one of Xbox's best and I hope that smaller projects like this happen again in the future

A fun and colorful game with a unique stylistic game mechanic that'll keep you bobbing your head throughout your playthrough. The story is a simplistic take on corporations, but with endearing characters, and the dialogue can be cheesy, but it is good cheddar. With great tunes, and superb hack & slash gameplay,The game is a breath of fresh air in a wake of recent disappointing releases.     다 좋은데 아쉬운 점도 조금 있음
    기술 이거 저거 다 써보고 싶은데 돈이 너무 부족해서 아쉬움
    그리고 컷신의 비중이 큰 편인데 망할 컷신에서 캐릭터들만 거의 20프레임 정도로 뚝뚝 끊어져 보여서 멀미날거 같음
    그래서 몰입 안 돼서 걍 다 스킵해버림

    Boss dövüşleri oyunun en merak uyandırıcı kısmıydı benim için çünkü hiçbir bossun mekaniği bir diğerine benzemiyordu.
    Bir boss hariç her karşılaşma aklımın bir köşesinde yer etti.

    Müzikler zaten S-tier, hatta bir yerde duyunca şok oldum bi anda 14-15 yaşlarıma gittim :D . 10/10 OST... Boss müzikleri özellikle...

    Nötr gördüğüm bir özellik hani bazı oyunlarda olur ya oyunu oynarken etrafta zıplayamadığınız yerler , açılmayan kapılar falan olur onlardan her bölümde 2-3 tane var yani demek istiyor ki bitir oyunu sonra gel buraları da aç...işte bu konuda kararsızım.herkes aynı isteklilike ikince oynayamayabilir hatta %99u tekrar bitirmez bile ikinciye.

    İllede bi olumsuz şey söyleyeceksem şu gardolap olayı.Yani karakterin veya yanınızdakilerin üstünü başını gitarınızı vs vs değiştirebileceğiniz bir mağza oyun bittikten sonra açılıyor.

    Şiddetle tavsiye ederim.

    Одна из лучших игр, что я играл за последнюю пару лет. В ней прекрасно почти все, даже не смотря на то, что игра "детская". Сюжет, персонажи, геймплей, анимации - все цепляет. Импакт от ударов, комбо и особенно от спец. приемов ощущается на запредельном уровне! Элементы платформера не утомляют, сама эта составляющая приятно разбавлена кучей различных механик. Все боссы дают полноценныйОдна из лучших игр, что я играл за последнюю пару лет. В ней прекрасно почти все, даже не смотря на то, что игра "детская". Сюжет, персонажи, геймплей, анимации - все цепляет. Импакт от ударов, комбо и особенно от спец. приемов ощущается на запредельном уровне! Элементы платформера не утомляют, сама эта составляющая приятно разбавлена кучей различных механик. Все боссы дают полноценный челлендж.
    Единственная причина не поиграть в нее - вы не фанат DMC-like игр. Музыка превосходна, но в паре моментов слегка разочаровала, в том числе и на финальном боссе. Включил Blur - Song 2 и погнал).
    Если вы не фанат ритм-игр (как и я) и попадать в ритм у вас не получается, все равно попробуете. Играл на высокой, никаких проблем *почти* не было, под конец игры уже научился попадать стабильно в 70% ритма. Редко покупаю игры, а особенно прохожу их до конца, не дропая на середине, но HIFI RUSH это настоящий бриллиант. Только она смогла растопить мое, уже давным давно замёрзшее, сердечко к играм. Неужели так сложно выпустить не поломанный, качественный и проработанный продукт? Bethesda вернула, хоть и не большую, но все надежду на развитие геймдева .
    Обязательно попробуйте! Игра есть в Xbox Game Pass'е, который стоит сущие копейки. В русском стиме игры нет, что досадно. Небольшие танцы с гейм-пассом и бубном и все!

Made clearly with enormous amounts of love, well crafted rythmic slasher with rather original gameplay, unusual cartoon style (not simply celshade, it even has 2D cutscenes), and great sense of humour as well as banger soundtrack. Nearly perfect in terms of performance, with lot to do even after main story is over, tons of easter eggs... I truly recommend buyingTruly wonderful surprise!     I already love rhythm games and have dipped my toes in the water of action RPGs in the past so this was a match made in heaven for me. Absurdly high quality graphics and some of the best dialogue to come out of a game in a long time. All of the songs during the background are pretty great, licensed songs are a nice touch and their copyright free counterparts are still phenomenal. LiterallyI already love rhythm games and have dipped my toes in the water of action RPGs in the past so this was a match made in heaven for me. Absurdly high quality graphics and some of the best dialogue to come out of a game in a long time.     The story and characters and vibe is equal parts punk rock and Saturday morning cartoon, with silly lighthearted characters and plot that works because the game just doesn't take itself seriously.     Temper your expectations, this game doesn't want you to take it seriously. If you think the dialogue is cringe and stupid, tweak your mindset.

    The physical comedy has some genuinely laugh aloud moments, too. One scene with a certain tall red haired Scottish lady stands out.

    Add to that it has no microtransactions. no in-game purchases. No cringe advertising or pre orders. Hell, the game was released on the day it was announced. That's so righteous.

    I don't want a sequel. I just want this little star to shine bright and be remembered fondly. But it's absolutely slaying the competition, so of course we're gonna see it get ran into the ground by Bethesda.

    This is not my kind of game, I would't have played at all without hearing great stuff from this game, and I was not dissapoint 1 sec of it, I didn't finnish it cus it just wasn't my kind of game (I have really bad rythem)

    But still a masterpiece these developers have made, really glad tango works put out a banger of a game

    Hifi-rush manages to one-up the player all-throughout the experience, gorgeous art direction, fast and engaging gameplay, likeable characters and great level design that rewards exploration. A gem of a game that reminds the industry that gameplay quality is where the money's at.

    El joc és increïble, de principi a fi. No soc fan dels jocs ritmics, però aquest m'ha enganxat moltíssim, els gràfics són molt bons per a ser d'estil anime-comic. Les bromes i el doblatge més del mateix, el recomane a tothom.

    Amazing game in every regard: gameplay, story, visuals and music. It rewards good gameplay and you will see an improvement if you dedicate time to it. The game also has a multitude of collectibles, unlockables, extra modes and etc to keep you playing for a very long time. It certainly will enter the hall of fame of great action games alongside Bayonetta and DMC.

Sin duda jueguenlo sean o no amantes de los juegos rítmicos, tiene opciones de accesibilidad para cubrir todas limitaciones.     Excelente juego, muy divertido, bastante completo, corto pero a la vez mas que suficiente, considerando el estudio que lo desarrollo es un exito increible este juego, no hay nada que exigir, si buscas divertirte un poco y hacer combos hack and slash, jugalo.

    This game is probably GOTY for me, right next to pizza tower. Normally I give fantastic games a 9/10. But this game was so captivated and wonderfully made it edged it up to a ten. The controls are wonderful, each beat feels precise and incredible to hit. EVERYTHING IS SYNCED UP TO THE MUSIC OH MY GOSH IT IS SO GOOD.     Most of all it feels minty fresh to play a game that doesn't take itself too seriously and has fun with its characters instead of trying to engage in deep thematics and theatrics to strike a cord. The storyline does not reinvent the wheel, but you can feel that the developers had a blast incorporating the characters into the gameplay and did so very meticulously.

    Favorite part: Hearing The Progidy's iconic "Invaders Must Die" rev up as you smash into the evil corporate tower of Vandelay and start beating the **** out of hordes of cafeteria robots to the beat. A feeling i can only describe as maniacal smiling and intense goosebumps.

    Don't sleep on the fun. Plug in your stereo, kick up your feet and grip your joy pad tightly as this game absorbs you into the video game equivalent of mid-00's Avril Lavigne and No doubt.    … Expand

    This game is cool looking and kind of fun but the beginning is very painful with all the training and the tips. I just want to play the game but I keep getting interrupted by more tips.     Brilliant in its simplicity. Leaves a bit to be desired in terms of repetitiveness and overall love towards the end of the game. Very solid rhythm game. 1st half 9/10, 2nd half of game 6/10. Overall I'd give it 7.5/10.

    Basic story, childish humor, most of the music is so generic that it doesn't inspire me to keep the rhythm. I spent the game annoyed and consciously counting the beat in my head trying to press buttons on time. There is no drive here for me. The only positive thing about the game is several story cutscenes that are well produced. I love good rhythm games, this is not one of them.

    Microsoft Shadow dropped this like a Madlad, It probably is one of the best games i have played this year and it's really addicting and REALLY REALLY FUN, and goddamn this game is just so STYLISH, Really wanted a game that is a DMC that syncs up to the music, and FINALLY Tango made ONE, really worth the money for only $30

    Wow. Honestly didn't expect much from this game but in the first hour, I got hooked. A combination of a rhythm game and a fighting game is executed well. Soundtrack is a straight-up bop and the characters are great. 10/10. A good candidate for Game of the year. Also, they released it the same day it was announced and it's almost without bugs or performance issues.

And while it takes some getting used to at first, once you get into it, it    A pleasant surprise, for sure. This is what all video games should strive to be: focused, slick, and well-executed. Whoever thought to marry rhythm game timing with hack 'n' slash melee combat is a genius.

    Mechanically, this game is nearly perfect. Timing your moves to the beat of a song is incredibly satisfying. And while it takes some getting used to at first, once you get into it, it is the most outstanding combat system I've ever seen. The game does a fantastic job of drip-feeding you new mechanics--from basic attacks to combos to dodging and parrying to special attacks--so that it never feels stale or repetitive.

    However, Hi-Fi Rush does get in the way of itself a bit: In the latter half of the game, there is an over-reliance on quick-time events and mildly frustrating mini-games. Later enemies also have these annoying multi-parry mini-games that stop the flow of combat dead; they're not awful, but I could have done without them. Some of the combat encounters could also feel a little chaotic--to the point where rhythm and timing get lost in favor of simply trying not to die.

    Boss fights, on the other hand, are flawless--and do exactly what boss fights should do: test you on your mastery of the core mechanics learned in each stage.

    Yet none of this would work nearly as well as it does were it not for the audio-visual arrangement. The soundtrack and the environmental details all provide cues for the player to keep to beat--and therefore excel at the combat. There's a mix of genres to set the tone of each level and keep things interesting. But generally, if you like rock music, you are going to be well-catered for here. There was the occasional jazzy track that made it difficult to keep time, but, for the most part, the music is excellent.

    And the visuals are also slick: it has a comic book/anime sort of aesthetic. The world and character designs are perfect for the tone of the game, and I never tired of looking at them. The cutscenes are awesome--so vibrant and kinetic. It has a timeless quality--and without setting my graphics card on fire.

    All that said, the story is probably the weakest element of the game. For the most part, it is a has-been-done-before taking-down-an-evil-corporation plot. It is a little juvenile for me. The main character could also grate a little bit. He's basically an idiot that lucks his way through every situation. But by the end, he was mildly tolerable. Some people might like this but not me. However, the story did have its bright spots: it could make me chuckle from time to time.

    My conclusion is this: Hi-Fi Rush is an enjoyable game and a breath of fresh air in an industry that has been stagnating for some time now. I think most people will like this game; however, your mileage may vary depending on skilled you are at keeping to a beat.    … Expand

    I've really enjoyed it. Graphic design is really strong advantage of this game, it's kinda similar to Sunset Overdrive. Music is good but personally I've expected something much better especially after The Black Keys in the intro scene. Game is really catchy and it's pleasure to play through. Characters are quite nicely written but due to short length of the gamie it's kinda hard to buildI've really enjoyed it.     Hi-Fi RUSH Is a fenomenal video game showing that variety is key, not graphics. Rhythm games, in my opinion have been boring recently. Hi-Fi RUSH changes that with something unique, rhythm combat. It Is a great game, and I think everyone should play It.

    ust finished this game and truly enjoyed every single second of it, glad it was on the game pass tbh. Story was nice, Combat can be difficult at first but it can so addictive and satisfying once you caught the grasp of it and start chaining perfect combos. And the characters were funny as hell. Would definitely recommend giving it a try if you have game pass

This whole "art style" stuff is just an excuse for developers to be cheap and lazy. This game tries too hard to be funny. 2004 wants its humor back. Running animations are cringeworthy.

    There is no multiplayer. So once you beat the story, there is literally not a reason to play this game again. Although this game is not a cash grab as it's just $30. That's one thing the developers got right. If you are going to give me half the game, it better be half the price. Nintendo would've charged $60 for this indie trash. Although I do not feel this is worth $30, as this is literally just a generic indie or mobile game. Boring and repetitive game with lack of content. I would recommend until the price drops to $10 or less before purchasing this game.    … Expand

    I was never into this type of game but this is really an exciting game genre that I have missed my whole life. Really love this game. I'm half way into it and it is so good. The combat mechanics are so satisfying.

    And one of the reasons is because of something so simple:
    while many other games try to play with rhythmic games using negative reinforcement (most cases heavily penalizes for failure), Hi-Fi Rush works primarily with positive reinforcement (most cases rewards you for playing with the beat).

    As for the inner workings of the game...

    Pros:
    -Fantastic soundtrack: Weather you're using the licensed music or turned on the option for only original songs, the game is a bop all the way through and will have you tapping your foot the entire time.

    -Smooth gameplay: Locked at a consistent frame rate without any issues. I played this on both my PC(Intel Core 9, Nividia 3080) and Xbox Series X and both ran fantastically, to the point where I was running at 4K, 144FPS without a single issue. For those with less powerful PC's, the game has the option to cap the frame rate as low as 24FPS, so unless you're build is pre-2013, you should have no issues.

    -Smooth combat: The combat is easy to learn but hard to master. The game has a very nice progression system where you start off with very basic combos, yet you quickly gain the ability to upgrade as soon as you beat the first stage. You can also cancel out of combos without issue, meaning you don't have to worry about getting locked in a combo right when you're about to get hit. The game also rewards you for timing your hits to the beat of the music, as it will deal more damage and give more bolts(In game currency.) For those who worry they don't have any rhythm, not only does the game not punish you for not being on beat, but you also have the option to bring up a meter that will show you when the beat of the song hits, making it very new comer friendly.

    -Story and Characters: In all honesty, the story is rather simple, as you and a ragtag group of friends have to take down the evil corporation, but it does have some subtle twists I enjoy. For one, hints throughout the game show that the company wasn't always evil and was once used for good before the new ownership took over, which is a nice twist as it shows it's not corporations themselves that are evil, but rather the power hungry investors who get in charge. I also really enjoy the rag tag group of friends you get, who I won't be spoiling, but they all work wonderfully together and by the end, they truly feel like a team who have been through Hell and back together.

    -No Micro transactions: Pretty simple, the game is 30 dollars and you don't pay a cent more unless you get the deluxe pack which gives you a few extra costumes to wear. Other than that, you can't buy anything in the game. You want more ingame currency? Go kill robots. Want that super cool technique? You gotta buy it with ingame currency. You want this graffiti to hang up in the hideout? Go find it in one of the levels first. This is what gaming used to be about, using your own skills and knowledge of the game to aquire collectibles instead of buying them with real money.

    -You can pet the cat: I mean...Who doesn't want to pet the cat?

    Negatives

    -Platforming: Easily the worst part of the game is the platforming, though this is somewhat mitigated by a midair slide that can be useful for aiming against the wall so you don't overshoot. Still, the controls don't differ between combat and platforming, and while the jumping is super slick for flying around and killing enemies...Not so much when you need to make precise jumps, other than risking a fall(Though a fall thankfully only takes a little bit of health and doesn't cause a game over.)

    A little forced romance: This is a nitpick, but near the end of the game, two characters are either implied to have feelings for each other, or atleast one has a crush on the other. This is fine, yet it's never brought up at all in the game, and feels a bit forced at the end. For a game that has a amazing story and characters, it feels a bit out of left field.

    Overall: Overall, Hi Fi rush is one of the best games Bethesda has made in quite a long time, and shows that AA gaming can still thrive in this market. With a campaign close to 11 hours long, with quite a bit of post game content, the game is not only worth 30 dollars, but it's almost highway robbery. Weather you like rhythm games or not, this is a game everyone has to try out atleast once.    … Expand

    im not a hack n' slash guy, neither a Rythm games guy, but this game is so wlel made, from the designs, to the audio and a huge amount of polish on the combat system makes this a literally flawless game. so close to perfection its just unfair not give it a 10/10...

A way to express yourself and make something truly out of the ordinary just like any other art form. I mean, it has its inspirations in saturday morning cartoons and anime, but there's nothing just quite like it.

    Arte bonita e gameplay bastante fluída e divertida porém o estilo ritmo não me agradou e em tempos de DMC 5 ou Bayonetta 3 que eleveram o gênero Hack'n Slash HI-FI deixa a desejar

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Hi-Fi Rush is an example of a game that LOOKS like it should be great, so people assume it is. While the game is visually stunning, the gameplay is one-note, the voice acting is mediocre, the dialogue is awful, and the story is so cliche that I upset myself thinking they would actually take an interesting turn near the start of the third act of the story, but they failed miserably and then I remembered what game I was playing. Setting your game up to be an action rhythm game is such and interesting idea that they do NOTHING with. It literally boils down to “play on the beat”. The beat never changes. The time signature never changes. You can’t come up with your own rhythms to make combos. It’s literally “here’s a small list of moves that make combos if you press this short combination”. The second I realized you wouldn’t have any personal expression in your gameplay, I was bored. Then I continued with this travesty of a game until the ending because I figured it had to get better. It doesn’t. Every fight, the whole momentum of the game stops, and the enemies show up and posture for 2 seconds before anything happens. Then, if you defeat those enemies, a short cutscene plays in the middle of every wave and the enemies show up and posture. This happens, EVERY SINGLE TIME. And as you’re running through a stage, your companions will chime in with something or other every 10 seconds the ENTIRE GAME. “Use the generator, Chai”, “I can break that door, Chai”. Non stop. All game. And let’s not forget the AWFUL platforming. Chai jumps up and down like he’s made of lead. I haven’t felt platforming this bad since early PS1 games, and I’m not very sure it was that bad back then. Its safe to say that I hated every second of this game from about the 2 minutes mark of actual gameplay. For a game that everyone is raving about, I think it’s an absolute joke of a game with wasted potential, annoying characters, a bad story, and stale gameplay. Good thing this is on Game Pass, but even then it’s got a 5% completion rating. Makes me think that people don’t really care for it as much as they claim. And that would make sense. It’s bad.… Expand

    Robots, humans and cyborgs look beautiful and believable. The environments are wonderfully detailed and cartoonish. The sound design is of course brilliant, as it is one of the cornerstones of the whole concept. In addition to original music, the game features famous band names such as Nine Inch Nails, The Black Keys and The Prodigy. [Issue#325]

    Like other rhythm games, what starts as frantic button-mashing turns into rewarding jam sessions. As you learn to time your strikes to the beat, you'll face an escalating range of robot foes that fight back (also on tempo, of course). It's a dance paired with an amazing soundtrack, and — funky as it sounds — I promise, it works.
