The Boomsday Project could be one of the most important Hearthstone expansions released in a while, but not because it bring very powerful cards and interesting gameplay mechanics. I believe The Boomsday Project is exceptionally well-balanced and very fun to play. It's got a little bit for every type of player, be it hardcore or casuals looking for pure entertainment.

The Boomsday Project is a great expansion. The Magnetic mechanic is brilliant, the new cards are very interesting and the return of Dr. Boom is a nice nod to nostalgic players. [10/2018, p.80]

I'm playing Hearthstone form the start and this might actually be the worst expansion yet. It has a similar feel of Goblins and Gnomes which is definitely bad since that was the worst expansion up to this date. Almost no new cards had an impact on the game and new decks were mostly some crazy OTK combo decks with little to no interactivity, just waiting for the right cards to be drawn. Puzzles for a single player content were cool for a few hours and I never touched them after initial release. The only good thing about this expansion I think is a pretty good balance between classes and because most cards were undervalued, there was no crazy OP crap to deal with. So balance-wise this is a good time, but everything else failed. No substantial improvements in sight, where is the deck slots limit increase players are praying for for years now for example? Where is the in game deck winrate stats tracking? Seems like Hearthstone devs are getting lazy in the last few expansions, hopefully this trend won't continue. 4/10 Expand
