    Sorry for the low score but this game really deserves it. This is the fourth Harry Potter game to be released so you'd think EA would have realised they had a good game going. But no, They decided to change everything. You cannot change any graphics or screen resolutions. You cannot change any controls. In fact the only option in the "Options" panel is "Subtitles".     Totally dated. A straight console port! No way to change the resolution (it's 800x600)... A shame

    HarryP. You must have horrible taste or be a small child.. most likely both. This is a shit game, pure and simple. Agrivating to no end. Most of the monsters spam attacks and your npc team is so stupid they just keep getting knocked down. The controls are horrible so you're constantly running into something that hurts you and makes your character scream and cry. Which is what thisHarryP.     Horrible game. Absolutely infuriating. Completely strays from the previous games and takes out all the best parts such as being able to explore Hogwarts! Instead you are left with a menu to choose levels from and each level consists of running around and spamming jinxes at annoying creatures that keep spawning endlessly.

    Whoever you play as, the other two are going to be a pain in the ass and enrage you each time they're required to cast a spell together with you.

    This is one of the worst games in the Harry Potter series, as it completely changed the formula of the previous games and instead of being able to explore the castle and learn new spells, this is just a series of action-packed levels with a minimal attempt at a story. The levels are linear and the AI is pretty bad, so expect Ron and Hermione to get into a lot of trouble.     Худшая часть из первой четверки игр на 3 часа (если не тупить) - это просто какой п*здец, как можно было так сильно вср*ть потенциал серии и как же было ЕА и WarnerBros по*бать на эту игру. В этом куске д*рьма плохо абсолютно всё: даунгрейд графики, отвратительный геймплей с убл*дскими заклинаниями растягивающие игру, мразотнейший PC порт (относительно играбельно на геймпаде) с конченнойХудшая часть из первой четверки игр на 3 часа (если не тупить) - это просто какой п*здец, как можно было так сильно вср*ть потенциал серии и как же было ЕА и WarnerBros по*бать на эту игру. Вдовесок тупые боты, которые своей кривизной тормозят прохождение.

    Really a treeible thing, not bieng able to choose the resoloution or controls. Well the controls are fine by me (I learn fast !!!). But i really want to increase the resolution. I got a 7800GT and it really is a shame to be playing at 800 x 600. (looks more like 640 x 480) The Anti Alaising was fixed with the control center for ATI and nVidia so that isnt a problem. On the whole the game Really a treeible thing, not bieng able to choose the resoloution or controls. Well the controls are fine by me (I learn fast !!!). But i really want to increase the resolution.     I hated the game because u cant change anything in it.. i have a 128 geforce 4 video card and the game resolution was so bad like playing an old dos game.. I wasted my money on nothing.. I didn't even finish the first level.

    I know a 1 is harsh, but i've waited for that game expecting a big thing, cause the three before were SO great.
    Now the controls have changed, you can't rotate the camera, you can't aim your spells, and its more like a RPG than an adventure game.
    I feel like i'm playing in my playstation 1 game again... You can't change controls OR resolution, or graphics, and    I know a 1 is harsh, but i've waited for that game expecting a big thing, cause the three before were SO great.

    From a nice platform game this evolved into, not sure what. Hack'n'slash/shooter something? Complete garbage in my opinion.

Более того, она скорее подходит молодому поколению, чем «старым» затертым геймерам. Но по некоторым понятным позднее причинам для младшего поколения игроманов (когда она вышла, мне было лет 11-12) она слишком тяжелая. Даже с умелого игрока сойдетИгрушка, как и фильм, ориентирована в основном на фанатов ГП и будет мало понятна геймерам, незнакомым с творчеством уважаемой Дж. К. Роулинг. Более того, она скорее подходит молодому поколению, чем «старым» затертым геймерам. Но по некоторым понятным позднее причинам для младшего поколения игроманов (когда она вышла, мне было лет 11-12) она слишком тяжелая. Даже с умелого игрока сойдет семь потов во время прохождения: уж слишком высокая скорость и сложность многих поединков, они больше придутся по вкусу хардкорным аркадникам, нежели любителям расслабиться и получать удовольствие от ненапрягающего игрового процесса. Консольность злобным призраком витает в воздухе - самого близкого геймерского соратника, мышку, можно оплакивать долго, наградив медалью за доблесть. Посмертно.
    Настройки поражают своей бедностью, вернее сказать, почти полным своим отсутствием. Распределение клавиш управления стоит по умолчанию и подкорректировать его никак нельзя, а с установками аудио/видео всё немного сложнее. В зависимости от конфигурации компьютера игра сама настраивает свой внешний вид. Поэтому владельцы видяшек класса GeForce2 будут разочарованы очень убогой графикой. Обладатели мощных видяшек будут наслаждаться без преувеличения отменной графикой - прорисовка просто красива, а к камере, как ни странно, питаешь только самые теплые чувства.
    Игровой процесс, несмотря на аркадность, очень даже захватывает. Конечно, из-за полного отсутствия сюжета он будет малопонятен непосвященному геймеру, даже несмотря на стильные монохромные заставки а-ля Neverwinter Nights. Отменно способствует погружению в атмосферу озвучка и музыкальное сопровождение. 10/10, разработчики воистину постарались на славу, выдав, наверное, одно из самых лучших звуковых оформлений для компьютерной современности. Все эти стоны, крики, журчание воды и вой ветра - звучание каждой мелочи, каждого элемента окружающей среды... Красота, которую можно услышать! А чего только стоит слышимый детский хор в одном из мест на территории школы! Мелодии все подобраны грамотно, они чувственны, отлично подходят по наполнению, смыслу и содержанию.
    К сожалению, никакого обучения не предусмотрено, так что разбираться с использованием заклятий придется под активным артобстрелом файерболов. Кастование заклинаний повешено всего на три кнопки, но всё равно оно ужасно неудобно и не раз заставит игрока бахнуть рукой по клавиатуре. От досады. Автоприцеливание должно бы облегчать наши страдания, но очень часто именно оно и вызывает большой поток нецензурщины.
    В общем, будьте готовы, что вам придется провести массу времени рядом с вашим младшим братом/племянником/сыном/внуком, помогая преодолевать сложности игрового процесса и крушить в капусту долбанных пчел!    … Expand

    It's so funny to me how all Harry Potter fans have the same collective memory of getting this steaming pile of poo for Christmas and walking away feeling traumatized. Not only is this game NOTHING like the previous three incredible action adventure titles that let you roam Hogwarts, learn spells, and uncover secret areas -- and all that with the incredibly atmospheric score by Jeremy SouleIt's so funny to me how all Harry Potter fans have the same collective memory of getting this steaming pile of poo for Christmas and walking away feeling traumatized. Not only is this game NOTHING like the previous three incredible action adventure titles that let you roam Hogwarts, learn spells, and uncover secret areas -- and all that with the incredibly atmospheric score by Jeremy Soule to boot, in an effort to "innovate" and "revitalize" the franchise - Goblet of Fire fails at everything. It's a giant trainwreck and I have huge admiration for anyone who's had the superhuman discipline to actually finish this abomination. The general consensus among the fandom is that Goblet of Fire isn't even acknowledged as a Harry Potter game and we're still waiting for EA to deliver a true HP4.… Expand

    The game's not perfect. There are some camera issues. Some AI issues. And I really would have preferred to have more control over spells. But it still arrives as a solid entry to the series. Kids will probably like it a lot.
