    Really fast paced gameplay, all units are fun to play with, Unicorn Gundam main from now on.

    I love this game, though I feel like I'm the exact target audience.

    1) I love gundam in all its forms from realistic to cartoony. 2) I'm not a huge FPS player, I've played TF2, Overwatch, Paladins, Splatoon 1 2 and 3, //ALL the Halo games//, Tribes, Quake 3, Unreal Tournament, Titanfall 1 and 2, Counterstrike, and a few others I can't recall, so basically I don't go LOOKING for a    I love this game, though I feel like I'm the exact target audience.

    I'm a little dissapointed in how the monetization works, but it is what it is, people should just have fun with the standard roster till they earn enough to unlock.
    The five locked suits are NOT premium or overpowered, I've dropped unicorn gundam with RX-78 no problem.

    A mobile suit is only as powerful as the pilot is skilled.

    The game has a very low barrier for entry for hardware too. I very capably run this game at 60 fps in 4k, while streaming, it's magnificent!

    My only criticism would be that Namco Bandai need to find better way to give us capital for robot unlocks.

    Some really good feature (sarcasm) made by Bandai Namco Games in 2022. Region lock in EU. That's funny. Worst release for sure in 2022.

    This Game... not even a game because it is region locked here in Australia and UK. so i am going to bomb this game thanks to the sheer stupidity of the Devs/Pub who don't know what they are doing.

    Gundawatch doesn't cut it for me. But hear me out.

    Once you get past the iconic sounds and mobile suits the game itself is pretty shallow. I understand they opted for a team-shooter F2P game but it honestly feels not unlike a first person Super Mecha Champions game. Which is a mobile game which is graphically and gameplay wise almost 1:1. The gameplay loop is essentially either    Gundawatch doesn't cut it for me. But hear me out.

    Once you get past the iconic sounds and mobile suits the game itself is pretty shallow. I understand they opted for a team-shooter F2P game but it honestly feels not unlike a first person Super Mecha Champions game. Which is a mobile game which is graphically and gameplay wise almost 1:1.

    The gameplay loop is essentially either burning abilities then retreating to a health powerup or picking at people from range. The maps themselves are tragically done. Suitable for perhaps Halo and really give no sense of scale. It feels like a reskin of an existing shooter than a new game. That's just how disjointed the aesthetic is.

    The UI itself is terrible. Chat beeping every few moments to report a death. You always have someone unware of the OBJ and dying repeatedly so you get a nice little beep. You can't turn it off. It's utterly pointless to have an audio cue for when someone else dies when you have a feed (that they force into chat so you can't see what people are typing easily).
    No effort or care has been put into this to make me think it's anything other than a cash grab aimed at the fanbase.

    Honestly, I really wanted to like it. But I found myself looking at this UI thinking "If this is the direction they're going to take I'm not really going to enjoy this". It's not a good sign if while playing a game you're absentmindedly thinking about the UI instead of thinking about my next move or where I need to be. The game modes are just so badly designed and implemented it's hard to get invested.

    I'm level 18 now so maybe in 2 levels I'd enjoy playing against more skilled people...only kidding. If you disconnect (which you will) you get a timeout ban. I'd get it for ranked but this is for casual.

    If you were to strip Gundam out of this game completely I'd probably enjoy it more. But because I know what they're taking inspiration from I can only think of what a waste this game is in general.    … Expand

    this game is basically gundam minus all realism (which is what makes gundam cool) and then add speed or cocaine in constant respawning fast paced third person shooter deathmatch. not gundam or coolness at all. just standard fps deathmatch wirh gundam overlay.

Horrible gameplay design, you can play tank and die under a second 1v1, hideous guns, abilities, terrible sound, lack of settings, technical issues, sensitivity speeds up and slows down, servers disconnect, unstable graphics performance, you name it, and above all that itit looks good but it's not, such mess, no need for ideas, just copy Overwatch and mix it with music from the series.     Gundam Evolution provides the baseline for a fast paced team shooter. While it avoids some pitfalls established by Blizzard's Overwatch, it trips and falls into other issues causing the experience to get muddled. Definitely keep an eye out for this game to see if the developers address the issues and make up with additional content and a friendlier game environment in their in game shop.

    This could have been something, but there is too much competition in the hero shooter market, especially after Overwatch went free to play. It needed more than a gundam reskin to make it BETTER than the rest, and to stand out.

    Was born to fail at launch.

    Overwatch with Gundam essentially :) it’s fun, and free. Give it a go ! I feel like the characters could be a tad more balanced though, eager to see what new Gunpla get added down the road.

    The lack of roles gives the players more freedom, also any pick is quite viable both in offense and defense situations
    Although the new mobile suits after official launch are kinda strong, still imho there's no gamebreaking pay-to-win one, at least yet So much potential in Gundam Evolution,    To be honest I find it a lot more enjoyable than any other team shooters like Siege and Overwatch

    Good gameplay, terrible everything else. One new unit to play costs 10 bucks, you can get a real gundam for 20. Unlocking anything as f2p is almost impossible so forget it.

    Game hands down is the best quick and gritty team based shooter out there. There is no real support class any class will do. Every class has its merits.

There are also reviews saying its play to win, its not. The starting classes you get are just fine and do exactly what you need them to do.

    I play a good amount and I can see where people would get upset that they feel useless. The player base in the US is not that big and the people who do play, play a lot and we get pretty good with head shots. Just put in the time and you will have a blast. Iv met a lot of cool people playing this game and even the discord channel for it had a lot of neat people who just know whats up.

    This game has fantastic maps, game modes, and all the suits in it are fantastic and fun. Everything has its purpose so far. I really have no complaints.    … Expand

    This game is great, the people who are complaining are probably salty overwatch fans. After how bad overwatch has got with its sequel. It is so refreshing to play this, its fast, its intense and runs so smoothly, unlike where overwatch feels choppy and unbalances. This game is an absolute blast so if you are a fan of any team shooters and like huge robot mechas I highly recommend this

    There’s a good game here to sink your time into, and I look forward to doing so. I just wish Bandai Namco had poured a little bit more special sauce onto it to differentiate it from the pack. There’s a ton of potential with a property as massive as Gundam, and I can’t help yearning for a game that did little more than just meeting my expectations.

    As a massive fan of the Gundam franchise, Gundam Evolution is off to a fantastic start. Each of the initial batch of mobile suits all fill different roles on the battlefield; and none of felt like it didn’t have a sufficient counter to it. Sadly, some of the best counter picks are locked behind the pay wall, but players can grind out the currency if they want to save some money. I do wish the grind to unlock new suits and the in game currency wasn’t so slow, and the game is in desperate need of some new maps but even with those issues surprisingly the best Gundam game out right now is the free to play Gundam Evolution, and while I am waiting on the console version to REALLY dig in. Those who play on PC should absolutely check it out, especially if you are a fan of games like Overwatch or Paladins. (Does anyone still play Paladins, for that matter does anyone even REMEMBER Paladins?!)
