    You may think this game could simply be an expensive DLC for Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- and you'd be wrong.
    Guilty Gear Xrd -REVELATOR- brings up new characters, new game mechanics, global lighting, a new lobby system, a new story arc and a lot more goodies (extended gallery, diorama figures, fishing...).
    Dizzy, Johnny, Jam get back to Guilty Gear along with Raven from Guilty Gear 2:    You may think this game could simply be an expensive DLC for Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- and you'd be wrong.
    Guilty Gear Xrd -REVELATOR- brings up new characters, new game mechanics, global lighting, a new lobby system, a new story arc and a lot more goodies (extended gallery, diorama figures, fishing...).

    Dizzy, Johnny, Jam get back to Guilty Gear along with Raven from Guilty Gear 2: Overture and 2 brand-new characters, no need to say that the amount of detail fits Xrd standards (anime like shadows and moves, now even with global lighting)
    New mechanics are definitely not that new/exiting but they still add something to the gameplay, the new lobby system on the other hand is amazing: you get your customizable avatar moving around inside a room with actual cabinets (max 4 + 1 for training mode) and you challenge people in line on the room, amazing.
    Story mode feels actually a lot better than Xrd -SIGN- one because the team focused more on "anime", with better photography and camera angles and the addition of global lighting.
    Finally goodies section is so huge... a few honorable mentions are: voice actor bonus speech, diorama action figures, usable (during fights) music tracks from all over Guilty Gear history.

    Of course everything from the paragraph above on top of Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN-, probably with a better netplay (lv.3 connections grant you a very good match, lv.4 connections allow totally safe reaction play throughout the game, very enjoyable).
    Right now I cannot recommend any fighting game for PC better than this one and personally I think this is one of the greatest ones I ever played.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Guilty Gear Revelator is very good figting game not only as sequel but as first game from this "new" franchise. Of course is ... very expensive but I think that game deserves it.
    Firstly we have improved animation and visuals. Of course it's not most important thing in game but it's first that we see starting games. Shadows and ligths are better during fight what to be honest I didn't expect
    Next we have new characters. Return of Johnny and Jam is good decision (although I wish to Zappa and Testament) and return of Dizzy was too obvious. Jack'O have funny moment especially in win pose, Raven is less "mature" than I expect but his gameplay is very good. Only Kum was kinda disapointing - it's (he/she?) looks like younger brother of Potemkin and we almost don't see girl who controls him...
    Story is very good and leaves big field of imagination and dream (Robo-Ky, ZAPPA!!,Baiken?). I don't want to spoil but I have to say that I don't like looks of villain in end of story and some strange solution but it was still good story
    The most important thing - gameplay. Some people say that Revelator don't improved - that not true. OK "old " characters have almost the same attacks but I think that is good thing. We don't have to learn everything from start. Moreover we have new solution like "Burst Overdrives" or "Blitz Attack". Firstly I thought that are cosmetics but its turns out that I use this many time.

    Nice improvement over Xrd : Sign. My only complain was keyboard controls, especially menu keys. In this game, they finally give us freedom to set menu keys and in game keys. GG Xrd - Revelator is one of the best fighting games for the PC, seriously.

    +Nice optimization, no FPS drops or whatsover (GTX 1050ti + Phenom II X6 1055t + 16gb RAM)

    CONS
    -You can't set "ESC" key in menu, other keys can be set though.

    You won't regret for buying this amazing fighting game if you love fighting games. My score is 9 because of that "ESC" key hotkey issue :P    … Expand

    mission mode exposed me as a scrub 10/10

    also godlike everything makes this game the goat fighting game on pc buy it now

    **** minigame 2 though it sucks

    For me it is the best fighting game of the generation.
    It is a beautiful game, good soundtrack, good game system with a high speed, the graphic design is amazing.
    And it has enough content, many unlockables, songs and characters.
    The story is explained just like the GGXRD-SIGN, but it is a continuation.

    Guilty Gear Xrd - Revelator is a masterly fighting game, a really worthy addition to your game library and if you are fan of the genre, it is almost sure that you will be in love for a long time. As long as there are still players playing it online.
