    This game uses StarForce and you can tell from the official and non-official forums this game is full of bugs. No patch has been released to fix some of the issues that have been their since the German release only the 24hrs cars which are great and new StarForce drivers that make it run much slower and take a longer time to check.     Wow. This game strikes the perfect balance between realism and fun. The detail these guys put into the cars and tracks is astounding, and the sound is out of this world. I'm addicted.

    The Sim mode is awesome, great physics, graphics and sound! A definate purchase! A Sim to have on hand! Great job! The demo has me sold !

    Don't trust the "professional" review sites and mags for a moment, their reviewers normally test sims as well as arcade games even though they are very different things. This is the easily the best racing game since "Grand Prix Legends (1998)".

    The actual game itself is fantastic but there are way to many bugs in the dam thing .....they need to be fixed....if they dont fix it soon it will be such a waste of a dam good game...

    I've been in love with this game since it was release early in germany. So much so, I ordered the German version instead of waiting. If you want a dumbed down racing game you can play with your mates while drunk in front of the TV, look elsewhere. This requires concentration, a good steering wheel, and some degree of real life racing talent to get the best out of.     I've played many driving simulators over the years. GTR FIA is by far the best driving sim out. Anyone that rates this below a 9 is an idiot.

    Everyone who loves simulation games,especially dtm racing simulation,will love this game... i don't think we had such a great simulation and realistic feeling with any other previous produced games... If there weren't any problems with the online mode,i should have give it a 10... I LOVE IT !

    The best racing game ever. the full Nurberg ring as in the 40' and 50's would be something a lot of fans would love to see in some possible future game also Le mans as nobody has ever done it properly Your games are the absolute best ,thank you.

    If you think in driving this game with a keyboard forget it ...is just to real!!! buy a god wheel or forgheret.

    If you're a motorsport fan then this game is heaven. If you're a kiddie street racer (or FPS loving magazine reviewer) then you won't be all that impressed. Easily the best motorsport simulation ever.

    Amazing game, you wont regret this purchase!!! Best GT racing game since EAs Sports Car GT several years ago. Graphics, sounds, feel, they are all there.

    A stunning acheivement. Delivers nearly everything us hardcore simmers have been asking for since GPL. There will always be more to ask for, but GTR is the new benchmark in racing sims, against which all future sims will be compared.

    You guys gave it only an 84! most accurate racing game since Papyrus Nascar racing. Better.

    This game deserves an 11 out of 10. Totally awesome. Driving this real is scary.

    The precursor to GTR²... A great game which shortcomings were answered by GTR². Also GTR² includes all the content of this one (maybe except the Oval tracks, but there are certainly some Mods for that if you really want to turn your wheel in one side only). Get GTR² instead.
    And play with a wheel.

    A slightly confused combination of intimidating depth and unnerving shallowness: on the one hand, a monstrous physics engine that'll stir a petrol-head's soul, on the other some patchy graphics and a slightly home-made techno soundtrack that calls up wholly unflattering comparisons to EA. However, it does push the realism harder than the more entertaining "Live For Speed." [March 2005, p.102]

    A stunning simulator that true racing enthusiasts will be able to marvel at for months, but one that will be an incredibly daunting prospect for those of us just merely looking for racing entertainment. It truly goes off the scale in terms of difficulty if you've any intention whatsoever of playing it remotely seriously, and I've never come across anything quite this brutal.
