To preface this review, I just want to say that Grow Home was a massive sleeper hit for me. It came out of nowhere and blew my mind. Such an intelligent, relaxing and incredibly fun game. In my eyes, it was going to be extremely hard to follow it up, so I wasn't expecting much from Grow Up.

I am incredibly happy to say that not only did it exceed my expectations, but it also overtook my enormous love for the first.

This is quite possibly one of the best sandbox game/physic simulator I have ever played.

The music, the atmosphere, the collecting, the exploring, the creative thinking used to get to the next platform, the smart implementation of physics, and that absolutely fantastic abilities all come together to make one of the best games I've ever played.

Highly recommended to anyone who wants to relax but still have fun, or just wants to mess around with some incredible physics.

Some of the critical responses confuse me. The hate for collectibles, exploration, having to think and plan, and being able to deal with new gameplay mechanics on the fly? Why are these people reviewing video games in the first place? It sounds like they'd be happier reviewing movies. I think they're just annoyed at how decrepit and incapable they've gotten. It's all I can think because I'm baffled. I loved Grow Up, anyway. It's a lovely time. Provided that a.) you have a tiny prerequisite of capacity for thought, and b.) you're not easily frustrated by video games (especially ones that really aren't that hard). Expand

All things considered, I did enjoy Grow Up but it doesn't seem to have grown up much at all.

Grow Up is an excellent sequel that builds on a strong foundation to make a spectacular game. If you liked Grow Home, you’ll want to play this too.

Grow Up has more content, offers more game elements, but also more boredom than its predecessor. You can find the pros from the first game also in sequel, but all planned improvements are more damaging than improving.
