    Fantastic co-op game. There is a strong sense of learning how to survive in the garden of Grounded.

    Most bugs don't just hang around a place, they roam around, and some of the nastiest ones will even try to track down and hunt you. This makes building a safe base more fun, whether surrounded by palisades, or hidden away from bugs high above on top of some abandoned toy. Here is are a    Fantastic co-op game.     Most bugs don't just hang around a place, they roam around, and some of the nastiest ones will even try to track down and hunt you. This makes building a safe base more fun, whether surrounded by palisades, or hidden away from bugs high above on top of some abandoned toy.

    Here is are a few hints to get some ideas of how the game can play out:

    Many bugs are hostile to each other, and even if they aren't they can often be provoked into attacking each other. You could for example provoke some red worker ants, run away and stand on top of a ladybug causing their attacks to hit it. The ladybug kills the ants. You craft a full set of ant-armor from the parts which renders even the otherwise aggressive red soldier ants neutral to you. Next you start provoking big mean bugs, perhaps even the infamous "wolf spider" and flee into the red ant hill causing a huge fight between the ants and whatever horror you invited to their home. Afterwards you simply loot the battlefield.

    Building hint: Research a Weed Stem. After doing so they can be used to build scaffolding which helps get you to high places either for exploration or cool base-building.    … Expand

    Good: - Elaborate combat system, which is untypical for Survival but works well. - Great graphics that perfectly use the strengths of the UE4 with solid performance. - Varied biomes with lots of secrets and lots of resources that benefit the equipment system more than base building. - One of the best settings menus ever.     Good:
    - Elaborate combat system, which is untypical for Survival but works well.
    - Great graphics that perfectly use the strengths of the UE4 with solid performance.
    - Varied biomes with lots of secrets and lots of resources that benefit the equipment system more than base building.
    - One of the best settings menus ever. You can customize a lot, even the shape of the spiders if you have a phobia about them.
    - The moth is so incredibly cute.

    Average:
    - Story is predictable but ok for the genre. There's also some laughter and drama too. And Dramedy is the best mix in storytelling.
    - There are things like dungeons that are a bit reminiscent of Zelda. The first was very good, the 3-4 after that unfortunately not so much.
    - Resource system initially seems very strong and varied. Later, however, it seems artificial and not implemented in a meaningful way. A Subnautica can do that better!
    - Enemy variation is fine, but since the different strains of the same enemy type (e.g. ants) are very similar, the variation then weakens.

    Bad:
    - A little too much focus on combat
    - In the end, a lot is stretched and there are no real new opponents. You just get overwhelmed by more and more enemies.

    This game is perfection at worst not many other survival games capture me like this does I used to think Ark was the best survival game but my opinion has changed

    This game is creative and just fun. Get friends for this. Reminds me so much of Honey I shrunk the kids and I loved that movie. Crafting, action, upgrades, exploration. Everything is so well done. Amazing game.

    An absolute banger of a game, didn't expect the full release to be this much better than the early access, obsidian has done a phenomenal job again with a completely new different game than they used to. it's so fun and addictive and the survival is super fun unlike other games where it gets redious.

    This game is not worth your time and money. This is a coop grind game (Grinded hehe) with no balance, terrible performance and disgusting network code.

    was really enjoying this game but there is one tiny thing that ruins it completely it's called A WOLF SPIDER!!

    this damn thing just shows up out of nowhere and will kill you even if your trying to use the workbench. it's allowed to roam freely so no matter where you build your base even at the research station at the start it's going to come and it's going to get you! it killed me twice    was really enjoying this game but there is one tiny thing that ruins it completely it's called A WOLF SPIDER!!

    I think wayyy too many reviewers are focusing on the concepts and ideas of this game rather than the actual execution of said concepts and ideas. Sure, the concept of being shrunken down and fighting for survival amongst insect wildlife SOUNDS amazing but when looking at the core gameplay, the execution of this idea is barely short of horrible. In my first 8 hours with the full releaseI think wayyy too many reviewers are focusing on the concepts and ideas of this game rather than the actual execution of said concepts and ideas. Sure, the concept of being shrunken down and fighting for survival amongst insect wildlife SOUNDS amazing but when looking at the core gameplay, the execution of this idea is barely short of horrible. In my first 8 hours with the full release version of the game, I encountered multiple instances of audio issues, insect mesh clipping through objects resulting in getting hit through structures, multiple insects getting completely stuck and their AI just literally giving up while they're pelted with arrows, multiple occasions of the workbench not realizing there are chests right beside of it, I could go on but at this point I'm putting in more effort in this review than the devs did in finishing this product. Definitely a do not recommend for at least another 6-12 months, this one was not ready to leave early access.… Expand

    I tried this on game pass and I just don't get it. It's a chore simulator. Gather things, build things, die of hunger because you can't find the right materials you need to build a cooking station and the game doesn't tell you where they are so you're forced to just wander around randomly hoping to run into the stuff you need.

    I don't normally get hooked into games much anymore but this one is really fun! Lots of sruff to do like exploring, seeing and experiencing new areas and critters, and crafting. A few things could be fixed or improved and hopefully will be but this is a solid release overall.

    Hay haters que ponen valores muy cercanos al 0. No tiene sentido lo que dicen. Solo tienen hate a Xbox.
    El juego es súper divertido. Cualquiera que pueda jugarlo con un amigo, va a experimentar lo que es divertirse realmente con un juego.

    I've been playing since day 1, early access, and it's truly amazing what they have done here. So many new features got added along the way and the gameplay, that was already very good, got excellent. It's my favorite survival game. Obsidian did an excellent job here.

    This felt a lot like Skyrim mixed with Minecraft but some how better then both of them for me. This is easily one of the best games I've every played. I've been gaming for 30 years.

    While the game itself is quite good when played by yourself (which I expect a vast majority of people are doing, especially in the reviews), when you play with friends the game begins to have quite a few issues that really make the experience annoying. Anything from parts of your bases completely missing and non-host players will fall through them to bugs glitching out and being invulnerable to attacks. Often times if your friends watch where you are shooting, even if they can't see an enemy there, they can shoot and do damage.

    Probably one of the main reasons I'm giving this game a low review outside of the numerous multiplayer bugs is the way the development team is handling the game itself. They released this title on Steam in "Early Access" and somewhat quickly completely abandoned the Steam site completely. If you visit it today you'll notice they stopped posting updates in 2021, when the game launched in 2022. They couldn't be bothered to even post an announcement that the game was officially launched. Additionally, they've released some minor updates and the only information available is to go dig up the developers own website.

    If you don't do extensive research, you could easily assume the game was abandoned before it was released just based on the Steam pages and discussion posts from the developers. Considering Steam is BY FAR their biggest market and has the most sales of their product I find it unacceptable that they've completely abandoned it.    … Expand

    This is the best game Xbox released in this gen up to now.

    Art is pretty cool and insects work as they intended. As a biologist, it pleases me to see how they paid attention to minimum details. Love it!

    This game has hit some sort of fun nerve with me, and it is just amazing! The game works well, is pretty snappy and the controls are great. It's an amazing experience to shrink small and fight all the insects in the yard and build things, but even with that they managed to make a fun and interesting story. Every aspect of the game shouts, "me, too!" from the art style that would be at home in Raft, the building system from the Forest and the story from a Disney movie, to the soundtrack which is nearly indistinguishable from Skyrim's at times. It makes very few interesting innovations for the genre, mostly in somewhat lightly-applied RPG mechanics thatLate, underdesigned, poorly balanced.     Played it solo and had lots of fun. Imo the crafting and rarity of ressources makes some passages too hard.

    + being super small makes everyday objects interesting + Stunning visuals + Lots of creatures + funny story and characters + crafting is pretty straight forward +/- not sure how much this game was meant for solo play -damage and defense balancing is **** -everything takes    Played it solo and had lots of fun.     What the heck... I swear you, if I didn't knew beforehand I would never believe that game was made by Obsidian, and I would have droped it at the begining if I was not playing with my sister (she liked it I don't know why). Beat the game with the good ending and such, and I will never play it again. I really hope Obsidian can go back to those good RPGS they made till some years ago.

    Great game with great progression from start to finish with tons of hidden treats to find in-between. Does a good job of making certain resources hard to get while not being annoying to get a large amount of. Lot of convenience features like hot deposit and the ziplines helping you get across the map fast and easily.     A fantastic co-op survival game. It mixes some of the best parts of Minecraft with a few RPG elements with a Honey I Shrunk the Kids vibe. It is easily accessible by adults and kids alike. This game is truly worth playing.

    that's one of hell of a game for me! i put a lot of effort in building because that was one of the most fun parts for me. the start to get in too is a little bit of an obstacle course, but past that point it is fun as hell

    If you're familiar with animated films like A Bug's Life, Antz or Ant Bully, you'll be no stranger to the game's setting. Plus, if you like the aforementioned films and would like to experience first-hand what it's like to survive in a world where a dandelion stalk is the size of a hundred-year-old lime tree, Grounded may be the game for you.     Please don't be fooled by the appearance and trailers for this game: It may have the appearance of a children's book, but its contents are more akin to Tolkien's The Silmarillion.

    You are catapulted from the top of the food chain to the bottom, and giant ants and spiders simply look horrifying. Although in "Grounded" it does not result in horror, but in an exciting and smoothly playing adventure game in which, thanks to your ingenuity, you must survive long enough to figure out how to get big again.
