Nov 1, 2017The base game itself is fantastic and this is a great expansion to it. The additional classes are very fun. If you like this style of game this is as good as it gets! One can easily lose a quick 50 hours playing this.

Sep 20, 2018An excellent expansion to Grim Dawn, which is an already excellent game. You get more shrines, classes, items, skill points and devotions! How can that be anything less than a 9/10?

Dec 5, 2017This game is the best in the genre bar none. The expansion is quite a lot of content with 2 new class options. It has challenging gameplay and in depth character customisation. My only gripe is the loot system which makes it very hard to get specific gear if playing single player only. It seems like playing online and sharing with others is the only way to get full sets.

Oct 5, 2018This is a pretty solid expansion and I'm really loving the Necromancer tree. It's more versatile than it sounds.
The Inquisitor tree is pretty fun, too, but I haven't played it as much.
This is a better expansion than the Necro one for D3, but D3 still wins overall for replayability, stability, graphics, and more. -
Apr 18, 2021I think this was a small drop in quality. It has hours of content, but I have found some of the enemies quite annoying. I do not consider this a must buy, as it doesn’t offer anything exceptional. If you want more Grim Dawn though, it’s still a good game and a prerequisite for the better DLC, Forgotten Gods.

Jul 8, 2020Good game far better than D3 and skill tree sequel to Titan Quest best of the genre like D2 and PoE

May 31, 2020While installed you can't play with anyone that doesn't own this DLC, if you uninstall it, you can't even keep your characters to play with the new classes

May 17, 2021Ashes of Malmouth extends the fantastic base game with many new features to further enhance your character as well as new story elements. It definitely helps to keep the game interesting.

Oct 23, 2017Grim Dawn: Ashes of Malmouth is an excellent expansion to an already excellent ARPG. As I have spent time with the title’s expansion I cannot help but remember and compare it to how it felt to play through Diablo 2’s Lord of Destruction expansion. In many ways, Ashes offers the same types of refinement, story rich campaign and quality of life features that LOD did to D2. This is high praise for any expansion and if you are an owner of Grim Dawn I highly recommend picking up Ashes of Malmouth as it will be a great addition and continuation to an amazing Indie ARPG.
