    Amazing graphics and Original flashback concept. But i gave this a bad rating because, it is almost impossible to play... very tough to master the controls.. I guess it is easier to go and drive on the race track than this game. Second, this game is incompatible with almost all gamepads out there except the xbox360 controller.

    Fun, Fast, Realistic! Everything you could expect from a Driving Simulation game. The multiplayer is awsome (gameplay). The only down point is the menus (single and online) you use the controler on menus and the search engine and features from the online mode is poor (but again, gameplay is 10).

    GRID is the best racing game ever...u won't find any game more realistic at that moment and I don't know when will ever come out a game that can be compared to GRID...it rocks!!! When u rule in GRID, u rule in any racing game...once again GRID is the best game!

    Very fun. Maybe unrealistic in car weight but if you ever been in real high speed street racing with plenty of horses you can punch out of some ridiculous turns although the weight factor is somewhat unrealistic. It's an arcade/sim with great graphics and I am mostly a sim player. I can't understand the low ratings other than you don't know what your doing or your system is Very fun.     Simply the best racing game ever created. Very realistic physics engine, one of the best out there. Bill A. there complains about the physics because his computer cannot handle the game. I don't know how it's possible to make a better racing game. In fact, I'll bank on the ONLY way to make a better racing game is in a VR simulator. 10 out of 10!!

    Anybody who is interested in realistic racing games should look no further than this game. Everything about the game is just spot on, every aspect of the racing experience leaves you satisfied. You really get a sense that you are racing at high speeds while cutting through dangerous corners (especially if you drive with the internal view). I have noticed that some people here have complained about the physics, I don't understand why they are complaining because cars react very accurately to the way you drive, the condition of the road, and the condition of the car (you can really rough up your car during a race). Be warned though, this is not an easy game, you really have to perfect your driving to get anywhere. Thankfully the AI doesn't cheat; as in no opponent magically closes the gap or drives like it's on rails, and in fact your opponents can suddenly lose control, spin out, and potentially cause a huge crash. Also, each race you are a given a limited amount times to rewind and avoid that car wrecking crash. I think the only thing you can criticize this game for is its limited amount of car customization, since you are limited to choosing the color, the color pattern, and the sponsors' stickers. At least we could have been given the option to choose the rims.… Expand

    That sums it up, lame physics, forced car choices for events, etc... The thing, remember that old race game for psone, you know the one, the "simulator". Well that game had paragraphs of data you could read about how you were tuning your car. Their was a learning element to it. You wont learn jack from this game. Also, the gfx SUCKS!!! Looks like a porno cam, with grease smeared on it, everything glows way to much. It just screams "look at me look at me!". Anyone wanna buy my old copy?    … Expand

    best arcade racer EVER. the physics is just right, difficulty is fine. don't play with the keyboard (even though I do), since it's plain brutal. everybody complaining about realism - don't bother, go play rFactor or LFS, or wait for F1 2009 (also by Codemasters.)

    i will be giving a 9, because this game just makes me feel like if im in a real race, the feeling of the speed is incredible and graphics, physicx are extremely good too..
    Im amazed about the game that run on my computer with only 1 gig ram, athlon xp 64 4600+ 2.4ghz and geforce 8500! lol, i think if i get the 8800gt the game will run like... wow.

    Great game. it can get frustrating at times, but no matter what happens, you keep going back and playing it, and i think thts what makes a great game.

    The most beautiful driving game with the worst physics engine on earth. I was very excited to see famous cars and the inclusion of drifting and touge racing, but the bottom line is that it is just plain frustrating to play. The graphics tend to create different levels of lag as you drive which causes different reactions from the car. If you think they are plowing through you like "kamakazee", it was probably your own faulty move that caused that to happen.
    You can't really punch the gas, and hope to make it to the end. That is almost impossible. If possible, you wont have much of a car left.
    Let me get something straight about the gameplay mechanics. You'll have people say that the game isn't 100% on realism with physics, etc. Like most other racing games that have tried. But this game tried very hard, no perfect, but it's real enough on my terms. And for a game that feels so real (looks so real) still difficult to control at times, it's still a blast to play. Trust me when I say, you'll love the feeling of completing a race in this game, unlike any other racing game.
    There is a couple frustrations of getting a handle on the cars. But if your a patient but quick minded thinker, you can get something out of this. It took me about 30 tries or so to finally win the first race and get my rookie licence. But the ending result felt great. And, I wont lie, I was one of the more damaged cars. I    … Expand

    A very solid and fun game, and one of the few PC racing games that seems to work well with a keyboard. Graphically impressive, and with multiple racing genres, GRID will keep a lot of people entertained. The game's biggest issues are a very unstable frame rate (even on a good computer) and a less than spectacular multiplayer mode. The single player campaign is excellent, however.

    Who´s paying the critics to write the reviews the game is getting? It´s a racing game that´s unplayable with a quality wheel (MOMO) and easier to control with the keyboard. The "AI" drives rubber tanks and follows a set line that is changed only by random events. Just try to stop in the middle of the track and look what the "AI" is doing - they keep ramming you untilWho´s paying the critics to write the reviews the game is getting?     Last night i bought this reading the reviews i was looking forward to this so much then i played it. Oh god what a living hell. Its hard to control and grass is deadly flashback is nice but you cant see the whole race and being on a pc with no controller i simply cant rotate
    Goood game not worth 40 dollars

    Grid is like a top fashion model without soul . Driving means to feel your car. Where is the car's phisic? Bah... Good looking graphic... like a beatiful saker cake.... but without any taste.

    Brilliant game. I'm pretty used to DiRT, so I immediately recognized the graphics. The cars seem to spin out much more than in DiRT, but it adds to the difficulty and the fun. took me some time to figure out the good settings for my steering wheel, but after that... wow. best racer i have played to far! good job Codemasters!

    One thing is for sure, don't play it with a keyboard, the car will go in a unending spin at every key pressed... said that, this game is awesome, graphics are cool and crashes are fantastic. Much better than the latest NFS games out there. Get a gamepad or a steering wheel first.

Controller setup was tricky with the Logitech Rumble 2, which makes me wonder about the other players giving low reviews... perhaps their controllers aren't setup properly? If you're a "button-smasher" and steer with the D-pad then this game will eat you alive.     I would give it a higher score but the multiplayer lets it down just a bit because you have to wait so long between races. Other than that I play it with the keyboard which some complained about and find it perfect, I didnt change any settings and have no trouble winning racing using only keyboard.

    Playing with a joypad increased the experience a lot. To me the cars feel fantastic. The sliding in the hills of Japan is so much fun!

    OK I only tried the demo, but I believe I have enough to write a little comment. This game is not the first to use the flashback feature, but maybe the first to make it popular. The graphics is over average, the handling is typical arcade, and the feeling of driving is really there.     The game has very good graphics. and the crashes are just beautiful. The vehicle handling is okay. but not really realistic. i wish that there was more vehicle customization. but i find the game very addicting and i find myself up late trying to keep my car in one piece.     Probably one of the best racing games I've played in a while. It's a nice mix of arcade and sim, with not too much of either. Those that claim the cars do not handle realistically, seem to miss the point of this game entirely. It's not meant to be a Gran Turismo clone, it's meant to be a fun racer that doesn't take anything too seriously. That being said, I was Probably one of the best racing games I've played in a while. They don't feel too heavy, and depending on the car your driving, they all preform similarly to how they should with real driving. If you want a real challenge and the most realistic experience, be sure to turn off all driver assist options!… Expand

Plus the game is full of junk you don't need, such as selecting your audio name. And the advisor speaking to you over the headset is full of sh*t as well.     This game by far beats any other driving simulation game out there, this game deserves a meta score of 100/100 the graphics are awesome, game play is so real its not funny.

    I don't know what they were thinking. No car on Earth reacts the way these cars do. Cars will spin out at the slightest provocation and no matter what speed they were going. Since when do cars go into unending donuts when they drive over grass? Very frustrating game.

Right in the beginning you get your hands on on a mean monster cars with hundreds of horsepowers, and trying to keep one on the road is difficult, unless you turn on the driving aids. This game puts you to race on a unfamiliar track, making the first few laps total trial by error. When you struggle to keep your ride on the tarmac, opponents flash This game doesn't make any sense. Right in the beginning you get your hands on on a mean monster cars with hundreds of horsepowers, and trying to keep one on the road is difficult, unless you turn on the driving aids. This game puts you to race on a unfamiliar track, making the first few laps total trial by error. When you struggle to keep your ride on the tarmac, opponents flash past you from left and right. And that is frustrating. Without the aids the car handling is really weird. You don't know when you are about to lose traction before it's too late to react. Cars don't feel to have any mass at all, and even the Lemans cars with huge downforce tend to go the corners in a four wheel slide. With driving aids on, the cars go on rails and your only duty is to sit on the accelerator and change lanes to avoid the opponents. The drift events are even more painful, controlling the rear end of your vehicle with the accelerator is vague, resulting in many spins and suddenly ending drifts. A chance to try out your vehicle and examine the track before the race would be nice. The AI is borrowed from Flatout 2. Tracks are so narrow that the AI cars totally cover the whole corner when they drive in a pack, forcing you to brake too early or just smash into them. On the other hand, when you brake too early, the opponents usually don't bother to avoid hitting you. In straights the AI still tends to cover the whole width of the track, leaving very few spots to overtake. At least the graphics look sleek and don't demand too much much from the hardware. In my opinion NFS: Underground 2 is still the best arcade style driving game for PC.… Expand

    Very good, although a bit hard if you're not much of a racing game player. It looks good as well. Also if you so much as touch the grass in this game your car will spin completely out of control!

    This game is seriously addicting. It isn't blisteringly realistic but it is a blast to play. It has that "just one more race" quality to it. It starts out simple but gradually gets you more involved with building your team. Very fun game.

    I've always been a racing fan, from nascar to F1 to rally to street racing series. In the last few years racing fans have had to suffer though awful and unfished racing games such as the recent NFS, or great SIM racing games such as GTR. Both have their faults, but Grid has come along and restored the great and fantastic experience that racing should be. Realistic damage system that keeps you on your toes and makes racing intense, but not so real that you are out of a race by scraping a wall. And to top it all off the online works wonderfully, with a ranking and server system that works very well. Topped with fantastic graphics and very smooth gameplay its 10/10… Expand

    This game just became my favorite racer. From the demo I thought what was on offer was great but then with the full game the addition of building your own team, managing sponsors, even branding your own team and designing the colors and graphic layouts for your cars is a game unto itself. Dirt was my favorite racer last year and this one tops it easily. And yes, it's better than PGR4 and Forza 2. And dare I blaspheme better than this year's Gran Turismo 5 Prologue! I've been thinking it for a while but it's hard to admit out loud. The game is just that good! I'm very impressed with every element of the game. I've been a racing fan for over 15 years and this game is designed for me. Everything I love about racing is included. And of course on the pc, the mods are already out and can only get better from here. Great game!… Expand

The handling seems a little too good to be realistic by any stretch of the imagination, but then again, everyone is a great driver in their imagination right? The best part of this game is the amazing crash engine which makes it look like you're watching the a real race crash. Overall I think this game is going to go very far... Codemasters don't seem to have taken on board criticism from DiRT racers in this regard.     Best "non-rally" racing game I've played on the PC, hands down. Actually, this may be better than Collin McRay 2005, so it may just be the best PC racing game I've played. This is the single most optimized graphics engine adaption I've ever seen. I get twice the framerate I get on DiRT, which uses the same engine, but GRID must have done some major tweaking, because this Best "non-rally" racing game I've played on the PC, hands down.     If you like arcade its a 10. If you wanna drive a real car, pass on this title. The rewind feature is neat I must add.

    It's a solid racer, but not the TOCA 4 I was waiting for. If CMR and TOCA are to converge on the same franchise, and Codemasters is going to carry on replacing the careful balance between fun and simulation they had on their previous titles (DIRT included) it might be good news for the fans of arcade racers, but bad news for everybody else.     This game is awesome. I have one issue with it, its so addictive! It looks amazing and its great fun!

    Terrible, simply terrible... If you want to watch pretty graphics flash past as you attempt to navigate your bed on wheels then go right ahead.. do the developers even know what a car is ?

    Very, very solid game. Not realistic but very fun. You can be sure to find at least one kind of race that you will like. Very good graphics, best i have seen in a racer in a while. Very nice menu system, i like how you need to build your own team from the ground. Generally a very nice game and it runs very smooth on both high end and moderate systems.

    While the game's focus is clearly on driving, managing sponsors right will double or triple the income of winning an event and is a fun minigame on its own; making lots of money is crucial to entering higher-level, ultra-costly racing series.
