    Grand Theft Auto... This is one of the most bizarre games I have ever played. It is neither good or bad. The gameplay is very straight-forward and simple, but it lacks even the most basic of a story line, it just throws you into the game, to kill cops, innocent people, and steal cars, among other things. I do enjoy the fact that the game is so basic, no strange shooting mechanics, noGrand Theft Auto... This is one of the most bizarre games I have ever played. It is neither good or bad. I do enjoy the fact that the game is so basic, no strange shooting mechanics, no difficult story missions, and the like, and it is hilarious and entertaining. I give this game a solid 7. Its worth a play, but be ready for the strangest experience in gaming.… Expand

    This awesome game was mindblowing when it first came out. You could walk around killing people.... AND drive cars. WOW. Micromachines was a fun game but this is like micromachines where you can get out and blow up a cop car with a rocket launcher. The radio stations were the awesome homemade stuff that you got until Vice City came along. The humour was the best of all the GTA's in myThis awesome game was mindblowing when it first came out. Just straight up rudeness with none of the social commentary of later games. The gameplay was so much fun.. In GTAIV you can jump your car and flip it around in 3D and get stats on how far you jumped and bla bla bla.. that is NOWHERE NEAR as fun as jumping that broken bridge with the cones on it in a crap car in GTA1 was, knowing that if you did it slightly wrong you WOULD be instantly wasted.The missions were cool, and you got liberty city, vice city, and san andreas all in one game. God remember how much fun getting the tank was. Or finding a kill frenzy, or achieving your first gouranga.. now that's an actual achievement. The graphics.. well in hindsight the graphics sucked but when this game came out they were not a problem, you were looking at something completely new so they were setting a benchmark for the genre. An easily defeatable one, but who was to know. So if you are some kid that is considering paying for this on steam you should be prepared for that.. coz teh grafix r retrded. And maybe the gameplay is outdated for you. I'm rating it based on how I enjoyed it when I was a kid, definitely gets a 10 and makes skyrim seem as fun as peeling a potato.… Expand

    This game really reminds you just how far the series has come! GTA III was the major milestone for the franchise (and possibly my favourite of the lot) but I’d forgotten how aggravating this bird’s eye 2D stuff was from the originals… Constantly getting stuck under bridges and arches because you can’t see your character, crashing into every vehicle in sight and of course not being able toThis game really reminds you just how far the series has come!     Answer the phone, drive, run over people, steal cabs, kill cops, sell said stolen cabs. Repeat.
    15 years and half a dozen games later, this game still manages to entertain the player.

    Не было ни карты города, ни маркеров ориентиров, как можно было проходить миссии в этой игре уже с трудом помню.

    This game was the beginning for a great saga, I had been expended several hours in this game on my childhood. For the one who didn't play this game yet, believe me, you have to!.
    You can feel the same game mechanic, the spirit is there.

    Que se puede decir que no se haya dicho ya? el juego que comenzó todo. la locura, la libertad, el crimen, la exploración. todo en un videojuego clásico con vista isometrica en 2D que luego fue mejorado con GTA2. Curiosamente acá existen las motocicletas. varios personajes que elegir pero realmente todos son el mismo sprite. locura insana por donde quieras. música interesante. y luegoQue se puede decir que no se haya dicho ya? el juego que comenzó todo. la locura, la libertad, el crimen, la exploración. todo en un videojuego clásico con vista isometrica en 2D que luego fue mejorado con GTA2.     Grand Theft Auto. First stolen car. The beginning of one of the great series of games can hardly be called a masterpiece for all time, after all, the game of 1998. There is no plot as such, but the missions are quite diverse.

    This was such a great game and still is. I really hope it will be available on Steam again so I can have it in my Steam library. It's still listed on Steam, but still not purchaseable at this moment.

    Particolarissimo videogame, con una grafica a dir poco spartana, ma che fa dell'originalità il suo punto di forza.
    Divertente, longevo e immediato.
    Peccato per i controlli non sempre intuitivi.
    Un punto in più per l'originalità: unico nel suo genere.

    Okay, so I played the PSX version and, well, I really don't think this game holds up well. To be fair, my goal was to beat the game, and this game is not made for that style of play. If you just want to wreak havoc for a few hours, this game will let you do that. But the graphics, while decent for the time, look terribly muddy. The soundtrack is pretty good. But I can't get over theOkay, so I played the PSX version and, well, I really don't think this game holds up well. To be fair, my goal was to beat the game, and this game is not made for that style of play. If you just want to wreak havoc for a few hours, this game will let you do that. But the graphics, while decent for the time, look terribly muddy. The soundtrack is pretty good. But I can't get over the controls. I admit, I am spoiled by the standardized control schemes we get today, but I spent the entirety of my 12 or so hours just fighting back against the controls! If that didn't screw me up, the necessary randomness of everything in the game foiled me over and over! Basically, the old technology necessary to make this game back in the day was once impressive, but is now super annoying.… Expand

    Fun game, with some concepts that limit its possibilities, like the history or missions... Its so difficult to drive fast with 2d view
