    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Ne yazık ki Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition oldukça baştan savma hazırlanmış yeniden düzenlemeleri içeriyor. Üç efsane GTA oyununun büyük bir popülaritesi ve hayran kitlesi varken Rockstar bu potansiyeli değerlendiremeyip bir de üstüne birçok olumsuz eleştiri aldı. Mod yapımcılarının Definitive Edition'daki bazı eksikliklere/hatalara (CJ'in düşük çözünürlüklü pantolonu ve berbat yağmur efekti gibi) çözüm bulmasına rağmen Rockstar'ın bu konuda hiçbir somut adım atmaması ve yalnızca kuru bir özürle yetinmesi büyük bir hayal kırıklığı. Hayal kırıklığı olan bir diğer nokta ise Definitive Edition'ın eski GTA oyunlarına oynanış konusunda hiçbir yenilik getirmemesi. Bu oyunlar artık 20 senelik, haliyle artık çok yavan ve sıkıcı bir oynanışa sahipler. Temel mekaniklerden vuruş hissine akla gelebilecek her türlü oynanış elementinde bu oyunlar artık ilkel kalıyor. Bu kadar eksiklik varken Definitive Edition'ın getirdiği yenilikler navigasyon sistemi ve GTA V tarzı silah/radyo istasyonu seçme ekranı ile sınırlı kalınca doğal olarak oyucunun bu oyunlara karşı hiçbir ilgisi, heyecanı kalmıyor. Özellikle GTA III'ün berbat görev dizaynı da işin içine girince daha serinin ilk oyununda ben şahsen sıkıldım. Bunlarla birlikte bir de Definitive Edition'ın hatalarla dolu olduğu gerçeği var. Evet oyunlara 60 saniye başına kare desteği getirilmiş ancak bununla birlikte pek çok hata da ortaya çıkmış. GTA III'te kaplamaların geç yüklenmesi, araçların havada gitmesi ve görünmeyen bir duvara takılmak gibi saçma sapan sorunlar yaşadım. Bunlar zaten iyi olmayan oyun deneyimimi tam anlamıyla berbat etti. Aynı şekilde Vice City'de de kaplamaların geç yüklenmesi ve parçalanan araçların kopan kısımlarının değişik yerlere ışınlanması gibi hatalarla karşılaştım. Ek olarak oyunlara sis eklenmesi unutulduğu için haritada yüksek bir noktaya çıkıldığı zaman tüm harita görülüyor ve bu da haritanın çok küçük hissettirmesine sebep oluyor, ayrıca görüntü de güzel değil; kabartma haritası gibi. Köprünün yok olması, sokaktaki direğin üstüne çıkıp birden tekrar aşağı inen yayalar ve görevde yanımda bulunan yapay zekâların aniden ölüp göreve baştan başlamama sebep olmaları San Andreas'ta karşıma çıkan hatalardandı. Ayrıca oyundaki yapay zekâya hiçbir iyileştirme sağlanmadığı için oyunlar bazı noktalarda gerçekten oyuncuyu çileden çıkarıyor. Yolda arabayla ilerlerken aniden arabanın önüne atlayan yayalara ve görevdeki müttefiklerimizin arabamıza bindikten sonra aniden araçtan atladığına birçok defa şahit oldum. Aynı şekilde düşman yapay zekâsı da gerçekten berbat. Duvarlara çarpan ve bazı yerlerde sıkışıp kalan düşmanlara birçok defa rastladım. Bunlar bu yeniden düzenlemelere hiç özenilmediğinin ve baştan savma yapıldıklarının kanıtıdır kesinlikle. Grafiksel olarak ise Definitive Edition, oyunların eski sürümlerine göre oldukça iyi. Tüm kaplamalar elden geçirilmiş ve ışıklandırma, gölgelendirme ve yansıma kalitesi gözle görülür şekilde geliştirilmiş. Ayrıca patlama efekti de oldukça hoş duruyor. Bunlara rağmen Definitive Edition'ın günümüz standartlarında bir grafik kalitesine sahip olmadığını açık bir şekilde söyleyebilirim. San Andreas'ı bitirdikten sonra GTA V'e tekrardan başladım ve 2015 yılında bilgisayarlar için çıkış yapan GTA V, Definitive Edition'dan grafiksel olarak çok daha iyi. Optimizasyon olarak da oyun problemli. GTA V'i 1080p en yüksek, RDR 2'yi ise yüksek ayarlarda stabil bir şekilde oynadığım bilgisayarda Definitive Edition'ı oynarken birçok performans sorunu yaşadım, yer yer saniye başına kare oranı 35 civarına kadar düştü. Kısaca özetlemek gerekirse; Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition baştan savma yapılmış yeniden düzenleme oyunlar içeren bir paket. Bu oyunları 20 sene sonra oyuncuya keyifle oynattıracak yenilikler getirilmediği gibi yeni birçok hata ve performans sorunları da Definitive Edition'da bulunmakta, bunlar da oyuncuyu oyunlardan daha fazla uzaklaştırıyor.     "Oh how the mighty have fallen." This perfectly suits the situation of Rockstar except they dug their own grave multiple times. Back in late 2000s, Rockstar was a great company, made some great games, Max Payne, the GTA series, Bully. Heck, even GTA 5 offline is great and when GTA online was first launched, it was enjoyed by the community too.
    However they got way too greedy and dug their    "Oh how the mighty have fallen." This perfectly suits the situation of Rockstar except they dug their own grave multiple times.     Anyone that looked into who made these Remasters had a feeling this was coming. Grove Street Games (formerly known as "War Drum Studios") made the previous mobile ports and the HD ports (for modern consoles) of the OG GTA games. Anyone who looked critically at those ports (Vladim among others) saw a broken mess with zero love for what these games were.    … Expand

    the 3 games by themselves are still great, 10/10

    However, its a true shame that rockstar dares to charge $60 por such a bad port.

    Not as bad as some (or not so some) say... it ist not a remake. It ist a remaster. You have to be aware that the graphics are anything but contemporary, on the contrary, other things have been improved, such as the controls, better checkpoints, etc ... As for the launch, that shouldn't happen, but it's coming times before. What I would most likely criticize is definitely the price!

Other than that, I didn't see any new bugs or problems that wouldn't let me enjoy the game. The new aiming is OK but could be better (might be fixable via settings, didn't check yet). The games look much more appealing to me and are much more comfortable to play on PlayStation 5.

    It's definitely not worse than the PS2 versions because I've just completed them before the launch of the Definitive Edition and there were more things to dislike: controls (accelerating and braking with X and Square instead of the triggers), outdated graphics, loading time.

    The real problem is that I feel guilty for enjoying the game. I don't get why does the community hate it so much. The developers still have work to do but it's playable and enjoyable. In the end, it works for me and that's what really matters.

    If the launch would've gone better for PC players, things would've went more happily a little bit at least. Sadly it didn't and R* even took the game from us PC players for 2 days which is beyond craziness.

    The graphics were pretty well done but if it wasn't for bugs and mainly people's frustration, this game wouldn't getting this much hate.

    GSG did a fantastic job. It's R*'s fault.

Mosr of the 0 ratings you are seeing are by irate people who hate the fact the rockstar had grove street games make a remaster of a three beloved classics instead of putting all their focus on gta 6. The game has many glaring issues I will not deny that but if you willing to look past them the game is slightly above average.In my personal opinion the game isn’t as bad as people are sayin.     It's baffling how or why this package came out in the state that it's in.     The game's being review bombed for a ton of reasons - mostly ignorant nonsense - but it definitely has its issues. The modern aiming mechanics are bad, some of the weather effects are overemphasized, the soundtracks have obviously been altered due to licensing issues, and the game runs a bit jankily considering there's no reason for 20 year old games to run anything but flawlessly, even on a new engine.

    I wouldn't really recommend this. It's not the catastrophe the review bombing indicates, but it's definitely sub-par.    … Expand

Местами имеются баги, но некоторая часть из них осталась из оригинальных игр (лол), разработчикам явно необходимо было обратить внимание на графические баги и внешний вид некоторых персонажей. Не понимаю на самом деле откуда столько хейта в сторону этого ремастера.По сути это вполне нормальный ремастер оригинальных GTA. Запускается только стабильно с третьего раза, первые два выдаёт ошибку (как-овидать связано со входом в Social ClubЕсть шарм в архаичной (хоть и подтянутой) графике.     Basically, I liked it, but the release process is so bad. When will I be able to play? Game have a bugs, but it not critical. However, i can't to load a saved game, why? Graphic is cool, i like it. Game have troubles with render distance, but it basically better than classic releases. I hope game come back soon.

Old versions is going bad on win10. And I dislike any amateur mods.     I expected more than one remaster of my favorite game, animations, mechanics, but it is the same "food" that I have been consuming for years, and now it only has "extra dip" and the rest has been neglected, I only give 5 beacuse I hope that modders do something with this game more than rockstar, no longer dedicate to remastering please

    I feel like this remaster is half-finished, and that it was supposed to release in early 2022 (Along with GTA V Expanded and Enhanced, even for free) but Take-Two wanted to make money or something..     I'll start out by saying that shelling out £55 for a game for me isn't a big deal so the actual cost doesn't bother me a whole lot. However, the value does.     There are parts of this remaster that are genuinely impressive and gorgeous. But it's the lack of transparency from Rockstar is what bothers me the most.

    Make no mistake about it - these are PS2 games with new textures and lighting. If you're expecting anything else then you will be disappointed.

    We were given a short trailer, showing side by side comparisons of the new engine, the lighting etc.

    We were promised quality of life changes and some of them have been effective, such as the weapon wheel and the radio wheel.

    And let's not forget that T2 has been suing modders and the original games are no longer for purchase.

    Sadly, the majority of what's been delivered is a buggy mess. There are glitches everywhere, some are simply aesthetic (and kinda funny) but some can break missions completely halting progress.

    There is an overall lack of care that's been given to this remaster. Simple things such as the hidden packages font in GTA III is still the same blurry original yet is updated in later titles.

    The rain makes the game unplayable and caused me to feel genuinely nauseous. Lance in GTA Vice City has his old model when using the cop uniform, but otherwise a new model. The list goes on and on.

    The sheer number of things that were overlooked are evident every single time you play the game. It leads me to believe that this cannot have been extensively tested, or even if it was, none of these issues were deemed worthy enough to be fixed on release.

    There are lots of game companies that seem to treat the general public as their own personal play testers, pointing out issues, glitches and bugs that they then fix with patches after release. To me, this is plain wrong. If I pay £55 for a game I expect it to be released in a state that is appropriate for that price tag.

    It's not all bad though - the games are still as fun as ever. The nostalgia is real and it's so nice to to return to these games after so many years. These are games that are forever linked with my childhood and some of my fondest memories. GTA III was the game that got me HOOKED in gaming and 20 years later it's a huge part of my life.

    Therefore it's very difficult to detach my personal bias from the situation and look at the games objectively.

    For all of the lies, the secrecy, the warts and the issues, I still LOVE these games and living in their beautiful updated environments has been heart warming and genuinely fun.

    The radio is still as funny and satirical as ever, the characters are over the top and the stories are absurd but thoroughly enjoyable.

    Be warned though, aspects of these games have not aged well. Many of the GTA III missions will require MULTIPLE attempts due to silly things that happen during missions that cause you to fail.

    This is less so in Vice City where they have done away with gang members shooting you on sight and silly timers in almost every mission.

    In closing, I guess I'm having enough fun to overlook all of the issues and not ask for a refund.

    This release was always going to be divisive - from art style, to remake vs remaster, to modernising; not everyone was going to be happy.

    If you're on the fence, buy it when it drops in price and patches (and mods) fix these glaring issues. But most importantly, take it for what it is. Know what you're getting into and enjoy it as much as you can.

    Or, don't buy it and continue to shout **** you Rockstar' and no-one will blame you one bit.    … Expand

    Except for the remaster GTA: SA that's quite good. Support for wide format, high resolution textures. Yes - the graphics are cartoonish, but it's still better than playing the original in 2021, which was problematic to launch on modern OS (win10/11) ... It is true that the price is too high, I will wait for the sale.

    Rockstar dropped the ball on this remaster. The cars and other moving models look like plastic toys and the cities look like polished excrement. The contrast between the environment and the models is horrible and the list of bugs is long and obnoxious. Quality of life changes are the only redeeming part of this remaster that does no favours for fans or newcomers. Skip it until they either fix it or let the moders do their job.

    I cannot currently recommend Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition on the PC, and a lot has to happen until I do. The truth is that I've had a decent amount of fun with this remaster; part of it is based on nostalgia, and part of it is based on some ridiculous, unavoidable bugs that weren't as frequent as I'd feared. Given all of these issues and the abysmal performance of the three games on the PC, I'd stay away from the trilogy until several major updates have been released. Even then, this remaster may not be for everyone.

    Overall, Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition was set up to be one of the best things for GTA fans and it failed to hit that mark. It will now be remembered as a failure to launch title but I am sure Rockstar will step in and continue to fix some items within their game world.
