    Broken mess, the original is way better, no music just adds insult to the injury, the original was more realistic and had better character models. The faces are just atrocious and the while game is a glitchy mess. If it is not broken, do not fix it!!

    We didn't ask for this game, yet they delivered.
    GTA VC and GTA San Andreas was my fav gem and they messed it up
    Downgrade Character models Bugs and glitches everywhere I'm just sad and they messed it up with this game

    Absolute trash, which was placed only in the home store, where you cannot write a review, and are sold at full price and there are no regional ones. There is practically no development work here. Everything was done by neural networks, and was not even tested. In addition, the developers began to harass mod creators to remove them. Worst release of 2021.

    Remember this is made by a billion-dollar company, graphics are horrible the facial expressions are gone what little there was. Some of the Cheat codes are gone, some of the music is gone.
    they didn't bother to use new sound effects, rain in this game look like a filter, character models look like crap.

    They didn't even play the game. It's too buggy Not to mention the rest of the game's mistakes, don't buy it. Also the launcher crashed because of this game. Just saying.

    I was super excited for this release as I remember playing each of the games as a kid and thoroughly enjoyed my time with them.

    I was geared up to pay the asking price for the lot, but luckily SA is on games pass, so I started with that first.     As much as this is undoubtedly an enjoyable game to play, the release is an unfinished, unpolished cut version of the original which introduces new glitches and bugs as well as general crashes leading to progress loss and frustration.

    A few good additions have been made and graphically the game looks great, the mission restart is useful though the check points are generally only at the start of the missions, so most of the time this is saving you a drive from the hospital or police station, which to be honest, wasn't that much of a ballache.

    The radio stations have been absolutely butchered, songs repeat consecutively as well as them skipping and/or cutting out altogether.

    It genuinely feels like one of those android google store knock offs like 'crime city' etc.

    Bags of potential, very little of it realised.    … Expand

    You'd have a better time playing one of the GTA rip off mobile games. Atleast you wouldn't see three beloved classics butchered by an indifferent studio and incompetent management.

    Esta remasterizacion es un insulto a los jugadores, bugs por montones, (sumando aun mas a los que traía los originales) eliminación de muchas canciones de las emisoras, unos modelados de personajes secundarios terribles y la optimización de pc deja mucho que desear. Muy triste para una empresa multimillonaria hacer estas chapuzas. No lo recomendaría para nada.

    The part I hate most about this game isn't even the game itself. They removed peoples mods that they worked harder to make than what rockstar did making this trilogy. They also removed the original games so people are forced to buy this over priced junk. You cant even buy the individual games! So if you only wanted to buy 1 of them, you have to buy all 3. Another way in rinsing you for more cash, charging you for something you're probably never gonna use. After Rockstar pulled this stunt I actually despise the company and I hope someone buys them out so they can stop ripping off their customers.
    This trilogy was not play tested at all. As long as it started up then it hit the shelves. I miss the days when devs would hand their game out to a few people so they could give them feedback. That way a we would get a working game. I stopped pre ordering games so I could read reviews on the product. I played this through PS Now and gamepass. If I paid for it I would have demanded a refund. I have not tested vice city but I can imagine the same issues are there if they are in both III and SA.

    Anyway here is some of the bad things I have found. (These are problems with all 3 games unless said otherwise)
    You can only change weapon using 1 button or you can hold it down to bring up a GTA V style weapon wheel. If you were like me and switched back and forth to reload then you're out of luck.
    Some of the textures haven't been updated making them look stupid.
    Character modals look stupid. This badly shows in San Andreas where its people with a darker skin colour. They look kind of red aswell.
    The gun play is this game sucks. Switching between targets is no longer instant but instead you have to hold the analog left or right for about 2 seconds before it switches to the next target.
    The aiming target stays green rather than corresponding to the health of the NPC.
    The game is based from the mobile version so its way easier than the original games.
    Certain textures have been resized like leafs and stuff. Because of this they now overlap in certain areas so you'll have loads of leaves randomly floating off the side of a hill.
    There is no longer fog. This is definitely 1 of the worst issues. You can now look into the distance and see the games render distance and stuff.
    The audio files are a really low quality, likely ripped from the original games. So you have a HD game with what sounds like 100kbps audio files.
    Not sure if its just me but GTA III at night is way to dark. I turned the brightness up and then during the day time its way to bright.
    No longer does stuff blow in the wind making the game feel more bland. (In the original games you would have trash and leafs blowing around)
    The game is extremely over priced. Its $50 when it should be $30 for all 3 or $15 each.

    I just don't understand how you can remaster a game and make it have less features and play worse than the original games? The worst part is that they aren't even working to improve it and make it just as good. You could have a better experience by paying for the original game on PC (Don't worry it should run or more or less any PC that can run windows 10).
    Use the GTA SA downgrade tool. This will allow any mods to work. If you have the disc version you will no longer need a disc inserted either.
    Then install the texture update mods. I am sure people would have reuploaded them after the scum bags known as rockstar removed them. With the texture mods you will have a game that looks better and plays better than this pathetic excuse for a game. This is an insult to the original games and its an insult to those who paid for it. There needs a be laws on what qualifies as a finished product in order to charge for it. This definitely is not what I call finished.    … Expand

Cars love to drive into the ground and some streets are full on missing from San Andreas. In addition, they removed the fog form San Andreas, which was key to making the world feel much larger than it was. I don't know who made that decision, but I do want to know their thought process behind that. If you fly in the game now, it looks so much smaller than the original felt, which is more disappointing than a "nice view". There are a few good things such as a weapon and radio wheel, but I forget that they exist half the time. Also, if you fail a mission you can restart from the last checkpoint instead of having to hope you saved recently. It also helps keep your weapon inventory. However, if you die in free roam, all of your weapons and armor still disappear. They also added a highlight that goes around the enemies which looks nice, but I can't think of a reason to have it beyond that.

    The gameplay could've been improved in so many more ways. They could've added a cover system, let you keep your weapons if you die, let you purchase cars that you can keep even if you leave them in the middle of the map, added more customization options to the cars and weapons, add more clothing options for VC and 3, as well as other activities/minigames. I don't even work for Rockstar and I can come up with better ideas than they can. So can various modders on the internet that they feel the need to take legal action. That is basically Rockstar saying that since they are so incompetent to where their own customers can make their game better than they can, they need to "take out" the competition. Almost sounds like they're playing their own game in real life.    … Expand

    Absolutely pathetic by Rockstar games. Why would you give the responsibility of remastering these beloved games to a studio that did a terrible job with the 2014 "remaster" of gta san andreas ? The fact that some great mods for the games were taken down only to present us this pathetic mess is absolutely revolting. Get the original games, mod them to get a better experience than this.

    It's great to see an attempt of making graphic improvements to the game but this release is rocky, filled with quirky bugs the original games didn't have. A bad rendition to the iconic Grand Theft Auto games we all grew to love. The model replacements have often less character than the original and the gameplay is not different.     This has to be one of the WORST REMASTERS IN GAMING HISTORY. gta3 and vice city are fine, but I got stuck on gta san andreas all because the game keeps on crashing after I loaded up the game. WORST REMASTERS EVER KEEP IT UP ROCKSTAR

Does this remaster do justice to the original? When it comes to keeping the original feel, they didn't even try. Is it acceptable that they've gotten rid of all the fog? Now the map resembles something out of Minecraft. What the **** is going on? Even in Grand Theft Auto 5, there's not that much draw-distance. A draw distance of this magnitude is unheard of in games, and even if it were, every game would have its share of fog-covered terrain. Nothing on a map should be visible to the naked eye. The immersion is ruined by this. Despite the fact that the map of San Andreas is not very tiny, it has been rendered uninspiring by the removal of any ambient noise. There is still no climbing or swimming in gta 3 and vice city. This is completely illogical. With two years of development time, you could've just replicated San Andrea's swimming/climbing animation and applied it to others like 3 and Vice City. Making horrible, uneven textures and copying the same Palm trees over and over again is all they can accomplish.… Expand

    This game is a buggy mess. The collision in this game is way off causing cars the fly further than they would in the original if crashed into. This make any wanted level a pain to deal with. Into of which this game has constant frame issues that make even the most simple driving difficult... do not buy this game stock with the og pc release

For everything here is terrible...as well as the behavior and attitude of Take2 and RockStar to the fans of the series. Now to understand why they removed all the mods of the three parts because they knew that their **** could not compare with the masterpieces that modders did. And now they need to think about taking over the work of all modders so that they will try to fix this "game"."

    GTA Trilogy was always the favorite of GTA fans, but with GTA Trilogy The Definitive Edition, it seems like Rockstar Games just haven't paid enough attention to bugs and glitches, also many characters have not been taken good care of. Although Rockstar's other games may be good, this remaster will leave a black spot on Rockstar's reputation forever.

    Chyba nigdy nie grałem w gorszy produkt w branży gier. Naprawdę nie mogę znaleźć jakiegokolwiek powodu dla jakiego można by było kupić to coś, bo gra nie mogę tego nazwać. Cena jest zupełnie nieadekwatna do tego co otrzymujemy, sory rockstar ale 260zł za produkt który wygląda jak niedokończony mod to zwyczajna kradzież.

    Why do the characters look like plasticine dolls? And the rain is just a shame. If you drive a car during a downpour, you can go blind because you won't be able to see anything.     Es un insulto hacia la trilogía original, ya no es tan solo el diseño de arte "cartoon", sino un juego que llegó al mercado a medio cocer y que tardaron más de 4 meses en corregir sus problemas y que aún, a dia de hoy, después de todos los parches está muy lejos de ser una versión definitiva.

    Simply sad what this game is after months and is far from a definitive version game. I don't recommend this game, play the old version that has less bugs.     The game was **** Carl is not a sleeping person with pouty lips and flavored with chocolate! Tommy became more cartoonish, but Claude seems to be doing well. Thanks at least for the patches...

    Rockstar dropped the ball on this remaster. The cars and other moving models look like plastic toys and the cities look like polished excrement. The contrast between the environment and the models is horrible and the list of bugs is long and obnoxious. Quality of life changes are the only redeeming part of this remaster that does no favours for fans or newcomers. Skip it until they either fix it or let the moders do their job.

    I cannot currently recommend Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition on the PC, and a lot has to happen until I do. The truth is that I've had a decent amount of fun with this remaster; part of it is based on nostalgia, and part of it is based on some ridiculous, unavoidable bugs that weren't as frequent as I'd feared. Given all of these issues and the abysmal performance of the three games on the PC, I'd stay away from the trilogy until several major updates have been released. Even then, this remaster may not be for everyone.

    Overall, Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition was set up to be one of the best things for GTA fans and it failed to hit that mark. It will now be remembered as a failure to launch title but I am sure Rockstar will step in and continue to fix some items within their game world.
