    It is hard to judge this game fairly. If we would want to compare it to other remasters, we would see that unlike Warcraft III: Reforged it didn't cripple the game for existing owners. It is hard for new players to buy it, but if you have the old versions, you can still play those. And unlike the remaster of Diablo II it didn't intentionally ruin characters, enemies, the world. So, it isIt is hard to judge this game fairly. If we would want to compare it to other remasters, we would see that unlike Warcraft III: Reforged it didn't cripple the game for existing owners. It is hard for new players to buy it, but if you have the old versions, you can still play those. And unlike the remaster of Diablo II it didn't intentionally ruin characters, enemies, the world. So, it is better than Blizzard junk, but it is certainly worse than many other remasters (such as Mafia Definitive Editions). It is also very expensive for the very little value it promises even if it would be fixed.

    Mistakes can be made, so even if I can hate the amateurish models, which are weaker than what you can buy from stores, what you can design with morphs, etc. in Poser or DAZ Studio, they are ugly and bad...It can happen. Bugs when they use a new engine can happen in the early days. Plenty of things can be fixed. And the foundations that came from the original games are solid. And many of the GTA games were better than plenty of "legendary junk" from other legendary developer. If the game works, you can have some fun and more compatible with new hardware. But it doesn't make The Definitive Edition acceptable.

    The problem is: The studio responsible for Definitive Edition was already infamous for weak mobile ports. Rockstar and Take Two didn't care, and they have also forgot that this new Definitive Edition costs far more than the mobile remasters, etc. so quality issues had to be expected, and Rockstar already knew that users are angry when they cut their radio tracks.

    They had every opportunity to try to get new licenses for old tracks, also to create new tracks (by adding new stations to the game) to get the music more varied as hearing the same songs over and over can be boring. Pulling a game from market after release day, when players paid for it, started playing because some of the songs aren't licensed and they are only disabled is wrong. And it shows that Rockstar didn't want to make Definitive Edition really definitive. They wanted to cut song, they wanted the radios to be more repetitive and less interesting.

    And even if they fix the visuals, they wouldn't be better than previous mods EVEN if they do their really best. So what we have got for $60? A compatibility patch for games most of us already had. Sometimes we bought it from different platforms. Some of us have on disc versions (with a spare copy), steam versions, mobile versions, etc.    … Expand

    he game's targeting system has also been adjusted. Using triggers and both analog sticks (a la "Manhunt"), players take more complete control of C.J., and can have him run and strafe, change targets, and shoot in almost any direction, even while moving in another.

I think modders do better jobs than these guys. thats why they re banning modders. just see the sky view to understand what i am saying. cyberpunk 2077 runs better than this. i use a gtx 1070ti i got 30- 40 fps on medium what kind optimizations is these i think capcom does better optimizations these guys. shame on u rockstar. who has more market share than other gaming company and u do this type of games… Expand

    The only real fun that comes with these games is the mechanics from the original versions. Other than that, the remasters are incredibly **** and you should play the OGs instead. The character models are horrendous, and bugs are everywhere.

    While this game isn't the worst, it's disappointing that Rockstar didn't really deliver on the "Definitive" edition. It feels like a really bad mobile port of the games, and not an official Rockstar remaster. Still like playing it because it's the only way to play it on the new Xbox , and I didn't really get into GTA, But they could of done a lot of a better job then what came out. 4/10,While this game isn't the worst, it's disappointing that Rockstar didn't really deliver on the "Definitive" edition.     Remastered is not same thing against remake. Graphics are awesome but optimization is not good at all. This is a remastered version of gta games i think it did a good job.

    Faces of characters looks so bad. At least they could make it better.
    Optimization is not okay. I got 2060 sometimes i got like 40-45 fps (1080p ultra).
    At the end of it i can say if you think this is not a new game just old gta games with new graphics then you will enjoy the game but if you want a new experience like a new gta game then you'll get disappointed.    … Expand

Starting from poor optimization and the destruction of the atmosphere to censorship and the obvious rush of Groove Street Games to finish this project as soon as possible.     Может ли Rockstar сделать плохо? Такой вопрос посещал абсолютно каждого заинтересованного фаната серий GTA и RDR. К сожалению, ответ перед вашими глазами. Если игру оценивать с точки зрения "ремастера", а не "ремейка", как ошибочно все считают, то он получился неплохим. Но с учётом прошлого опыта студии в плане разработки игр завышенные ожидания общественности и конский ценник сыграли свою роль в успехе данного переиздания. Несомненным его плюсом является качество по сравнению с другими модами для этой трилогии игр про великого автоугонщика. Как бы грустно это не звучало, но это, по моему мнению, единственный весомый плюс. Проблем у этого ремастера хоть отбавляй. Начиная от плохой оптимизации и уничтожения атмосферы до цензуры и наглядной спешки Groove Street Games побыстрее закончить этот проект. Я не зря выше сравнил

    This is purely a review of the gta sa remaster.

    I was already afraid of gta sa being a remaster of the ps3/xbox version and sadly i was right. So many elements are dumbed down like the gym. You cant fly out of the map and you see a white line when you reach the end of the map. There are so many bugs and might be even more then the original one like invisible bridges. but hey at least    This is purely a review of the gta sa remaster.

    This is not the quality expected from Rockstar Games. The character models are a joke.
    It does have some quality-of-life improvements which is why I’m not giving this a flat out zero.
    Wardrum Studios/Grove Street Games should be ashamed of themselves.

    For all my love for the Rockstar, the trilogy is a real horror! Did you not control at all? How could this be released? Animations do not work properly, car wheels fall into the road, some textures are stretched or incorrect UV, a large distance (which makes the map of San Andreas look small), ugly faces of characters, damaged textures, thoughtlessly placed small objects that do notFor all my love for the Rockstar, the trilogy is a real horror! Did you not control at all? How could this be released? This is not the whole list of errors noticed at the beginning of the games! If I go further on the missions, I'm afraid to see something worse. How could you do this with a classic games.     Um dos piores remaster já feito na história, rockstar viajou quando foi lançar esse jogo, e ainda na cara de pau removeu os 3 jogos do Launcher Rockstar Games.

    Ich habe heute einen Kritik eines Renommierten deutschen Computerspiele Magazins gelesen, welches die Definitiv Edition mit Filmen verglichen hat. Aber dieser Vergleich auf den ich in den Folgenden Zeilen eingehen werde, hat mich    Die Kritik ist unabhängig der Aktuellen Probleme seitens Rockstar und dem Launcher!

    Ich habe heute einen Kritik eines Renommierten deutschen Computerspiele Magazins gelesen, welches die Definitiv Edition mit Filmen verglichen hat. Gelinde gesagt ein sehr hinkender Vergleich, da es nicht vergleichbar ist. Aber dieser Vergleich auf den ich in den Folgenden Zeilen eingehen werde, hat mich dazu bewegt diese schlechte 4/10 zu geben. Man kann sagen was man will, aber verglichen mit guten Filmen, die Zeitlos sind und "gut altern" sind alle GTA Spiele, die vor Teil 4 erschienen sind, wirklich schlecht gealtert. Ich denke, Rockstar dachte sich dabei, wie kann man den alten Charm der sehr beliebten Teile in neuem Gewand einem Jüngeren Publikum präsentieren? Mit einer aufgehübschten Grafik und einer etwas besseren Steuerung. Aber ist das gelungen? Die Antwort lautet nein. Klar, die Optik wurde stark aufgebohrt, aber trotz der Scharfen Texturen und der nicht Kantigen Kurven wirkt das Spiel nach wie vor Altbacken und es ist immer noch ein schlecht gealtertes Spiel in neuem Gewand. Klar, die Steuerung der Fahrzeuge ist um längen bessre als die des Originals und das neue Waffenrad ist auch nicht schlecht, aber all das ist nicht genug. Um ehrlich zu sein, sieht man hier einen sehr Lieblos hingeworfenen versuch, die alte stärke neu aufleben zu lassen. Ich möchte auch soweit gehen und sagen, dieses Lieblos dahin geworfene Spiel zeigt, dass man zu viele Ressourcen auf GTA Online verschwendet und den Kern der Serie hoffnungslos vernachlässigt.
    Eine bitte an Rockstar, schaut euch an was Hangar 13 mit der Mafia: Definitive Edition auf die Beine gestellt hat, so muss ein Remake aussehen (und ja ich sage bewusst Remake, da die GTA Definitive Edition durch den Engin Wechsel ebenfalls ein Remake ist). Bei Mafia wurde genau das gemacht, was sich die Fans wünschen ein unglaublich guten Klassiker der Videospiele Geschichte in Modernen Gewand neu aufleben zu lassen (und seien wir mal ehrlich, Mafia 1 ist genauso schlecht gealtert wie die besagten GTA Spiele)

    Mein Apell an Rockstar:

    Findet zu der alten Stärke zurück und ruht euch nicht auf euren Onlineablegern aus. Ihr habt welche der besten Singleplayer Spiele der Videospielegeschichte Programmiert und Designt, hört bitte nicht damit auf.
    Und wenn ihr schon ein Remake macht, dann macht das Remake bitte richtig und nicht so lieblos.    … Expand

Though the environmental graphics are amazing. I don't like the sky too much but that's just my opinion. I just wish Rockstar up-ed their game and release something that was worth the money.     So to start with San Andreas the gym is the mobile port it's basically a Minigame to press at the right time to lift the hydra control's like **** you can only sprint with bicycle etc. GTA 3 is ok I guess haven't played VC yet

Certain menu items don't work, performance is bad in certain areas, the rain makes the game absolutely unplayable, and don't get me started on the character models.     I was super excited for this release as I remember playing each of the games as a kid and thoroughly enjoyed my time with them.

    I was geared up to pay the asking price for the lot, but luckily SA is on games pass, so I started with that first.     As much as this is undoubtedly an enjoyable game to play, the release is an unfinished, unpolished cut version of the original which introduces new glitches and bugs as well as general crashes leading to progress loss and frustration.

    A few good additions have been made and graphically the game looks great, the mission restart is useful though the check points are generally only at the start of the missions, so most of the time this is saving you a drive from the hospital or police station, which to be honest, wasn't that much of a ballache.

    The radio stations have been absolutely butchered, songs repeat consecutively as well as them skipping and/or cutting out altogether.

    It genuinely feels like one of those android google store knock offs like 'crime city' etc.

    Bags of potential, very little of it realised.    … Expand

    Esta remasterizacion es un insulto a los jugadores, bugs por montones, (sumando aun mas a los que traía los originales) eliminación de muchas canciones de las emisoras, unos modelados de personajes secundarios terribles y la optimización de pc deja mucho que desear. Muy triste para una empresa multimillonaria hacer estas chapuzas. No lo recomendaría para nada.

    It's great to see an attempt of making graphic improvements to the game but this release is rocky, filled with quirky bugs the original games didn't have. A bad rendition to the iconic Grand Theft Auto games we all grew to love. The model replacements have often less character than the original and the gameplay is not different.     I'm a great fan of old GTA Classics and i was so excited about the announcement and was so hyped about it because of the Unreal Engine but after the gameplays, it turned out to be the one of the disastrous game launch ever. The game looked rushed and unfinished, they did a good job with the lighting and shadows and there are a tons of bugs and weird looking charecters and paying $60 forI'm a great fan of old GTA Classics and i was so excited about the announcement and was so hyped about it because of the Unreal Engine but after the gameplays, it turned out to be the one of the disastrous game launch ever.     Why do the characters look like plasticine dolls? And the rain is just a shame. If you drive a car during a downpour, you can go blind because you won't be able to see anything.     And I was very impressed that there are people who give 10 to this parasha! It seems to me that they are ready to eat crap and prove that it is tasty.

It's such a sad effort. It should never have been made if this was what they were gunning for, and there's no way this collection is worth more than about $15.

    I rate it at 3/10 because despite how atrocious the porting / remastering job was, they're still three great video games in their own right. Thank goodness I was able to secure a refund.    … Expand

    Rockstar dropped the ball on this remaster. The cars and other moving models look like plastic toys and the cities look like polished excrement. The contrast between the environment and the models is horrible and the list of bugs is long and obnoxious. Quality of life changes are the only redeeming part of this remaster that does no favours for fans or newcomers. Skip it until they either fix it or let the moders do their job.

    I cannot currently recommend Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition on the PC, and a lot has to happen until I do. The truth is that I've had a decent amount of fun with this remaster; part of it is based on nostalgia, and part of it is based on some ridiculous, unavoidable bugs that weren't as frequent as I'd feared. Given all of these issues and the abysmal performance of the three games on the PC, I'd stay away from the trilogy until several major updates have been released. Even then, this remaster may not be for everyone.

    Overall, Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition was set up to be one of the best things for GTA fans and it failed to hit that mark. It will now be remembered as a failure to launch title but I am sure Rockstar will step in and continue to fix some items within their game world.
