    I'm sad that I can't give -10 points.
    - TONS OF LOADING!!!! No party, if you play with your friends HAHAHAHA you'll never be on the same server or something lieke that
    - HACKERS!!! Every server has at least one hacker.... I report all of them but still playing without any issues this is really broke the whole game... I play for 2 weeks to get the T20 for 2.2million they play 2 minutes    I'm sad that I can't give -10 points.

    And Rockstar does very little to counter those 90% that ruins the game.
    I'd advise to steer clear of this game, at least online mode.

    Forget for a minute about never ending grindingfest,lack of any balance,never ending loading screens and the fact that the only way to have a good start is buying those shark cards!
    Let's just ignore all cheaters no one at R* bothers to ban,ignore getting banned for no reason what'soever,just ignore the fact that you have to do the same mission over and over...    This is pure tragedy.

    Its just awful. Long loading times for everything, modders in almost every session, ban waves that affect inocent players, pay-to-win mechanics with grinds and shark cards, way too overpowed vehicles that are used for griefing and server issues. Those are just a few of the problems i found personaly. Your time is better spent on story mode

    The matchmaking is terrible, there are OP pay to win items such as the rocket hover-bike. Still constant de-syncs, very long loading screens. This could be good if you had friends and a private server but the public servers are terrible and most missions make you que with at least 2 people they either leave or constantly die. Missions are so much easier by yourself.

    When it works, it's beautiful thing. Unfortunately, that's a rare occurrence with connection issues and trolling hacker kids ruining the majority of sessions.

    Online can be a lot of fun. That is if you are willing to pay 80€ real life money for in-game cash, as everything costs absurdly much and you don't make money fast. The loading times are absurd and servers unstable. When you are having fun it gets ruined immediately by hackers and cheaters.

    hackers everywhere, but just to kill the fun. Rockass only get the ones that cheat money. So they cant sell you overpriced ingame money!
    If you want to buy everything interesting, you have to invest about 3.000 real life money (€/$) or play 2k hours. Just if you have luck and get always a good lobby. But that never happens. fu yu rockstar

    Rockstar abandoned online mode, now filled with hackers and bored script kiddies running around with billions of dollars - nearly impossible to play legitimately now unless you are in a solid private crew who everyone plays legitimately, public lobbies are a complete waste of time - if you buy this game for the online mode, don't bother.

    It's garbage, it really shouldn't even be considered a game, it has the quality and mechanics of a smartphone game but with graphics and the gta v map, but a smartphone game after all; they give you boring repetitive mechanics that pay very little for the cost of things that are mostly useless (like aesthetic ones which, by the way, don't really do anything as you go from a grimy grayIt's garbage, it really shouldn't even be considered a game, it has the quality and mechanics of a smartphone game but with graphics and the gta v map, but a smartphone game after all; they give you boring repetitive mechanics that pay very little for the cost of things that are mostly useless (like aesthetic ones which, by the way, don't really do anything as you go from a grimy gray floor to a grimy blue floor or from a weathered white wall to a weathered green wall) and in businesses that 'pay more' (which is true up to a point as they pay more but with each upgrade things are much more expensive to ridiculous points where junk cars cost more than a million) and include 'new' mechanics that are actually always the same but with a different skin, whether you kill a rival gang to take away a truck with supplies for your coke factory or alcohol for your nightclub in the end it is always doing the same and the same and years and updates go by and the missions feel the same since 2015, and in the end the fact is that it doesn't really matter how good you are at playing because nothing is really difficult, it's just badly done, and it's badly done on purpose so that it doesn't matter how good you are it gets tedious, repetitive and boring making money but at the same time they give you a lot of things to buy so that you obviously go and waste your money on their filthy cards.

    During my 2500+ hours, I can never find a lobby where that has more than 15 people without at least 1 hacker who will try to ruin everyone's experience (god mode, set people on fire, **** people's asses with animation, instant death explosion, kick player, and crush people's PC, etc).

    В онлайне убили все, от экономики в которой новые машины в последних обновлениях стоят по миллион.. А за выполнение миссий дают от силы 15 тысяч и тл не всегда. Из-за это-го нужно проходить ограблениэ но с рандомами почти нереально, очень редко заходят и ливаю из-за чего миссия анулируэться...

All of this takes about 1 full minute, then you have to search for a new mission to get rejected from. How about if the missions is full, DON'T INVITE ME!

    * when you join a heist or mission and anyone leaves, the mission is done. You cannot sub someone in, you cannot pick up from the last major checkpoint. You must start the process of inviting players over, which can take 5-10 minutes often. If it takes more than 2-3, players start leaving and you ended up going through about 9 people just to find 4. So, you can play the whole mission when someone loses internet connection and POOF have to completely restart the last 45 minutes of your life.

    Between yesterday and today, I've played seven missions and lost all due to no fault of my own, in almost all cases someone just left the mission and we had to start from scratch. There are so many time-wasting features that it makes me feel Rockstar isn't taking GTAO seriously. They need to add more heists and missions and more stuff to buy if they want this to be a real game and not simply a novel add-on. Perhaps that happens in patches, or else it happens next GTA. Either way, they badly need to change the horrid time-wasting way the player-matching is designed. Plenty of games have already done that better, sucks that they're so far behind the curve on this one point.    … Expand

    Well, GTA O isn't total rubbish now. But Rockstar has made some questionable descions in this version. The previous GTA online didn't have the promised heists, and it was borderline unplayable. You couldn't earn money and if you did you wouldn't keep it for very long. Well with heists you can earn money and it seems they raised the payout of all missions by a significant amount which meansWell, GTA O isn't total rubbish now. But Rockstar has made some questionable descions in this version. The previous GTA online didn't have the promised heists, and it was borderline unplayable. You couldn't earn money and if you did you wouldn't keep it for very long. Well with heists you can earn money and it seems they raised the payout of all missions by a significant amount which means you wont have to grind money for weeks to get one car. They've also fixed passive mode like it should have been in the first place so passive players CANNOT be killed by another player ( Unless they dive out of their car at you, or ram other cars into you )
    But the major things like Cheating and Cops still remain a problem. Starting with the modders, Rockstar is banning these players very quickly, But they've also decided to ban players who've recieved help from modders in the form of money or cars, A qustionable choice considering rockstar can just remove illegitimate cars, or money. Now for the Cops, They are still WAY too aggressive. Rockstar has done nothing to balance the cops. I still guarentee that you will die to the cops more then to other players.

    On the topic of other players, PVP is more unbalanced. The tank was a problem in the previous GTA onlines since it was pretty much indestructable. Rockstars solution was to add more indestructable armored vehicles, The Insurgent, Kuruma, and Hydra. The insurgent (without the gun) Is a seriously unbalanced vehicle. It is far more durable then a tank, and the driver cannot be killed from the rear. The kuruma is absolutely invulnerable to bullets. You wont kill the driver or passengers of a kuruma easily. Now you may tell me that I can blow these vehicles up, Which is true. I can blow them up. But the Kuruma can cost you $7k to blow up. and the Insurgent $17k to destroy. And in lobbies packed with such players this will make you broke, and a bad sport. The gun insurgent is just plain annoying. If you don't have a minigun to wipe out the gunner and driver of the gun insurgent I would just stay in passive mode.
    GTA online was just broken and incomplete in 2013. It was absolutely unacceptable for rockstar to release such an unfinished product, then continue to make it worse with patches and reduced pay outs until they lost a lot of their daily players. GTA online is more of a full package now, It's fixed many of the irritating design choices, but it's far from being perfect. Until bad sport pools, insurance and healthcare bills, and the over aggressive cops are removed or fixed, GTA online deserves no more then a 7/10..    … Expand

And then, insult to injury, hacker (before you realize it's a hacker) pays the in-game Insurance on your vehicles, gifts high bounties and logs. Temporary ban from accepting help from what I thought was a helpful long-time player. "He probably transfered from Xbox or PS" I thought. Nope. Too good to be true? Yeah. I'm a fool. At least it's a two week ban and I know better now. My only real complaint is why did he/she/they have such a long free reign? Other games online, Battlefield, CoD, GW/GW2, etc, have handled hackers pretty quickly. Supposedly two weeks and I will be back up and running. If this holds true and Rockstar Support is true to their word I will update. And I will followup on my, now after the fact, report that I should have been smart enough to submit immediately. My fault. Accepted help. Know better. Game pretty good so far. Hopefully better once the true problems are worked out; bugs; actual hackers; etc are ironed out. Would you like to pay $10,000,000 for a gold plane, that normally spawns for free in black? How about paying $700k JUST to make your car into a lowrider (Not including the ridiculous upgrade costs, such as $200k to improve the hydraulics.) The player-base of this game is one of, if not the worst of ANY game. When you do heists, they will leave mid game failing it for you, Or they just wont join your heist because it's not at the finale stage. The modding is also TERRIBLE in GTA Online. People will steal your guns, spawn objects on your character, and blow up the entire lobby - Rockstar has done little to stop them.

    GTA Online should be avoided by anyone, and everyone until Rockstar games removes the rampant modding, and fixes the rubbish in game costs. Can you have some remote form of fun playing this game? Sometimes. But that will come right to an end when a modder inevitably joins your session and crashes your game.    … Expand

    I love GTA Online - if it is in an invite-only session with a group of pals. There's lots to do, and plenty of in-game money to be made. Plenty of stuff to buy and customize. That is pretty much the extent of the positives.

    1. Forget the public lobbies. They are filled with cheaters. I do not mind those using tanks and being jerks in general - it is Grand Theft Auto. It is a game of mayhem, and designed to be that way. It's the cheaters I have a serious problem with. Everything from duping players, dropping billions of in game dollars, and ruining the game for everybody. Plus innocent people get banned in the process. Just use a private lobby.

    Side note - If you have a thin skin, and are easily offended, do not play the game. The players are absolutely awful. Screaming over the mic and flamewars consisting of how many ways they want to have sex with your mother or how Hitler is their homeboy.

    2. Rockstar is aggressively pushing Shark Cards with extremely expensive in game items that take days to grind for. This is why people cheat in the game. The payouts in the missions are a joke, and it seems with every patch or DLC, the payouts get worse. Therefore, making items extremely difficult to grind for.

    3. Loading screens. More loading screens. Getting booted from jobs. Glitches.

    4. It can get boring at times, especially when grinding. Lots of fetch quests. If you are a single player looking to boost your score, forget it. Grinding sp missions cost more in bullets than what it pays out. Which means you have to be selective in the missions you do to maximize payouts.

    In all, GTA Online is one of the most toxic, if not the most toxic game I have ever played other than probably League of legends. Play with some pals, and you should be set.    … Expand

    The missions are locked behind purchasable properties. You gotta grind or shell out real money to purchase these properties. Also the countless number of griefers eventually turn you into one of them.

    The constant content added for free makes this game never die. It has been among the best sellers for almost 8 years and people do not get tired, people who sell it and buy it again because they realize that there is no other game more fun. It is a game in constant evolution and one of the most played on consoles and PC day after day. A bad game can be a big thing but it wouldn't last 8 years. Denying that gta v online has been a revolution even with its drawbacks, like any game is lying.

    It even has too much content and so some modes are almost empty, while hits, free jobs and races are the most played, but you can do almost anything in this online that is also the most fun I have ever played.

    Let's not forget about the content creator so that you can do the race or game you want.

    It is highly advisable to play it with friends but you can do everything alone with random people, even meeting people who just want to annoy

    It is true that with each update the enemies hold more bullets and things are more expensive for you to go to the micropayments, but you can get absolutely everything without paying anything, you just have to play that is what it is about.

    If by playing a few hours we could get everything from an update, many would not play again until the next. It is intended for the regular player and not the casual one. It is highly preferable that you have micro-payments than that we have to pay each dlc.

    Other games also have micropayments with objects that you can only get by paying but it does not seem to bother anyone, it seems more who does it than what to do    … Expand

This would have not bothered me if you cannot purchase in-game cash. GTA V has one of the most exploitative transactions in the history of video games. Rockstar Games took greed to a level that all lootboxesAfter beating the campaign, I dived right into GTA Online, one of the most popular online games. You start in a casino, with a long cutscene showing off different parts of the casino. This would have not bothered me if you cannot purchase in-game cash. GTA V has one of the most exploitative transactions in the history of video games. Rockstar Games took greed to a level that all lootboxes in any game feel innocent in comparison. Whether or not a good game is hidden behind that wall of exploitative game mechanics, I do not know. I felt utterly disgusted and logged off…… Expand

    This update couldn't have come at a worse time. There were cars I was interested in buying, but I was too busy to worry about a stupid entertainment product at that time. When I found out the cars I was interested in were removed, I literally punched my door and left a hole on it. That's how angry I was with this stupid update. Now these cars are going to be either locked behind a GTA+ paywall or perhaps in the car dealership at a higher in-game price for upgrades I didn't ask for.     You run a shootout, and there weapons are more powerful than yours. You go to a regular session, hide at home, buy a base, and go to pump cannons up to the level of MkII,
    you can't make enough money, you start to carry raw materials, you are killed, you get out of GTA out of anger and remove it from your computer. Without exaggeration,

    As I wrote in my late GTAV review, what I first hated in this game are the neverending loading screens, bad AI, poor controls in some vehicules, unnecessary huge map, a lot of Fedex quests, stereotyped characters, many many many glitches, crashes and bugs, bad guns sound effects, terrible aiming mode, bad settings, etc etc etc.

    While you play 'Grand Theft Auto Online', you can also add a significant bunch of cheaters and haters, lagging servers, the terrible obligation to use the Rockstar launcher, more boring missions, the impossibility to own decent cars, guns and buildings without cheating or spending all of you lifetime on it. Managing to play with particular friends surprisingly is one of the hardest thing to achieve in this game since here again the Rockstar platform is trolling us. Fortunately they added some funny events and varied missions if you are lucky and patient enough to find and join them. It's not without its problems of course, and I still encounter technical bugs every now and again, but the core experience is fun, entertaining, and full of content.     I will say though that for new players, especially the ones just now getting into it years later, that it will be a grind. Most of the content is pretty expensive, but thankfully, there are plenty of ways to earn money. It's far less grind-y than other multiplayer games I've had the (dis)pleasure of playing in the past, primarily due to its variety. You don't have to play the same missions over and over again; you can complete a heist, play a set of missions, steal cargo and sell it at a profit, steal cars to hoard and profit from later, etc.

    Overall, if you don't like "looter shooters", you'll probably really enjoy GTA Online, but new players will have a lot to catch up with content-wise.    … Expand

    Incroyable sur beaucoup d'aspect MAIS avec des activités vide car tout le monde s'entre tue en mode libre en moto volante, ou jean kevin moddeur qui viens ruiner la session ou encore les chargement infini du jeux et les crash intempestif. L'expérience est ruiné malgré le potentiels énorme du jeux.

    Nahhh if u wish to cheat in this online game, u r good, coz Rockstar didn't do doo doo and they only working on all that GTA+ membership crap. Oh yeah don't forget about the godmode bug, teleportation, long a$$ loading and cheaters. Yes I said CHEATERS it's too polite to call them modders. Definitely regret playing this on 2022. Just... don't push yourself playing this game.

    Grand Theft Auto Online can be a fun multiplayer game, but it just has to much negative points at the moment to really enjoy it.

    Pro:

    - makes really a lot of fun with friends, because you can explore the whole world freely and really much variety is also given by the different missions.
    - many different vehicles with their partly unique gimmicks
    - that the online service is still regularly updated with new content even after all these years.

    Contra:

    - the everlasting hacker problem. I think it's a real shame that Rockstar Games does NOTHING against all the hackers, in every public lobby in which you go is at least one hacker and if you have very bad luck it's one of the only annoying type. And now they can also easily doxx you because hackers can easily get your IP adress if you just play the game. I would highly recommend to use a VPN when playing the game.
    - When you are a new player, you are annoyed from all sides with heist missions, even though you can't do them, because as a new player you don't have the money for them.
    - animals have been completely removed, some vehicles have been removed from the singleplayer mode
    - very long loading times

    It's very sad what GTA Online had become and I really hope there will be a better online mode in the next GTA game.    … Expand

    If you play this game in public lobby... congratulations! your account basically has been stolen to hackers (or modders, they're the same thing anyway) They CAN bypass your G-mail security and their so called double-authentication via phone. Rockstar only cares about money exploiting bugs but not their game godmode bugs, security and your privacy. Even their database got stolen in the "GTAIf you play this game in public lobby... congratulations! your account basically has been stolen to hackers (or modders, they're the same thing anyway) They CAN bypass your G-mail security and their so called double-authentication via phone.     181 cars that have been standard game content for years since we bought it, have just been removed, except for some premium option to PAY for getting the vehicles, that we already paid for when we bought the game.
