    This is an underestimated Grand Theft Auto game. When playing this funny, crazy game, you do realize how they now only attempt to create the most realistic, modern real-life **** game of all-time. I wish there were more Kill Frenzies in GTA V, or funnier weapons like a real Electric Gun, or a Respect Meter for different gangs in different stages/maps in GTA V.

    The first game in the GTA series I've played in my life! I remember coming home from school and turning on my PC to play it. I didn't do many missions, I liked to drive around the streets running away from the police. I remember that this game was banned for a while. Lots of nostalgia involved.

    It's a free game (you can get it from the Rockstar website) and actually quite fun to play even today... but only as an arcade game. The rampages, gang missions and the 'karma' style gang relations with the tripartite of gangs is quite interesting. One minute you'll be working with the yakuza, the next you'll be killing them. There's no real story- it's just an arcade free-raoming rampageIt's a free game (you can get it from the Rockstar website) and actually quite fun to play even today... but only as an arcade game. The rampages, gang missions and the 'karma' style gang relations with the tripartite of gangs is quite interesting. One minute you'll be working with the yakuza, the next you'll be killing them. There's no real story- it's just an arcade free-raoming rampage mayhem. It's not too easy so it isn't boring. The game is pretty long given its arcadish feel, and the only way to finish it (aside from doing all the missions) is to gain maximum amount ofm oney to unlock bonus levels. That will take hundreds of hours. The intro kinda sums up the game really... or at least the context anyway. Definitely worth checking out if you're bored.… Expand

    Развитие идей с угоном из первой части, плюс карма бандитских группировок, плюс яркая графика и поддержка 3D ускорителей, для своего времени игра была неплоха. А какой крутой там был вступительный ролик. :)

    This, combined to other titles, is the game that made me excited about the world of video games!
    I think I've replayed at least 20 times in my whole life..!

    Grand Theft Auto 2 adds some gameplay options to the original Grand Theft Auto but it fails to replicate the fresh naivety that marked the first chapter.

    This game is classic and we know what evolves after this game, so it is interesting what was before 3D GTA.
    The 2D GTA has a big problem: The low overview in the car, when driving fastly and the bad controlling when you are shooting and also when driving a car.
    On the other side I liked the respect meter of the 3 gangs. If it is too low, you dont get missions from them. So you need to    This game is classic and we know what evolves after this game, so it is interesting what was before 3D GTA.

    I prefer to play the GTAs in 3D that are more **** STILL but GTAs in 2d I do not like these other bad games GTA 3 And better than this garbage gta GTA 1 and 2:01 ****

    Вторая игра великой серии автоугонщика. По-прежнему старый-добрый 2D мир, с старой на тот момент графикой, но игра была примечательна свободой действия. Убивай, гоняй, кради... Что угодно можно было делать в Anywhere City. Очень хорошо показан стиль киберпанка. Если по-честному - поставил бы 10/10, но надо быть объективным и поэтому 9/10.Вторая игра великой серии автоугонщика.     Gran concepto, entretenido, largo, brutal, gran soundtrack. antes del salto total en 3d (este juego usa 3d en los edificios)... perfecto. se necesita un remake en completo 3d de este juegazo

    At this moment the game is still not purchaseable on Steam, but it's still listed in the Steam Library. I really hope to be able to play this game again and forever like I did back then. I can only wait and hope for the best.

    - Gameplay is fun
    - Gangs are great
    - Quests are well written
    - Atmosphere is really unique
    - Radio stations are the best ever (awesome sense of humor)
    - The game is hard, not as hard as GTA 1, but you will spend many hours if you want to complete every quest

    Great theme and execution. Tag games were so much fun via LAN. Hope they will remaster this game some day.

    the driving is fluid (as much as a top down gta game could be, and obviously some cars are less fluid than others) combat is better than grand theft auto 1 and a one of a kind mission system based on "respect" killing rival gang members and beating missions can help raise this respect but fail these missions and kill too much of one gang and you'll loose that gangs respect but you'll gain their rivals respect, GTA2 (if we're talking getting the good ending) is VERY VERY HARD this game felt like it was made for people who always finish a game 100% with no stone (or in this case cars) left unturned, to me its quite similar to super mario the lost levels which was a sequel to super mario but with the difficulty ramped up (except GTA2 is a completely new experience and doesn't recycle much of anything from GTA1) but of course not everyone's here for the story no you're here for mayhem! and you can partake in a lot of mayhem! wild weapons, cheats, fast cars and a wanted level system that goes from 0-6 (4 in downtown and 5 in residential) it's wild and a bit wacky and takes itself somewhat seriously and sometimes doesn't give a piss at the same time, if you can get this game for cheap i would recommend doing so but i wouldn't pay much more than 20$ for this game in the modern age.    … Expand

    One of my childhood games. I've never played 1st one but from looks, GTA 2 is better in every aspect. Better graphics, illumination, you can choose to play during day or night, more weapons, better cars, you can build respect for different gangs (full respect means they will start to hunt cops, if they are nearby), there are more cop units chasing you, when your wanted level raises upOne of my childhood games.     Что ж, я ознакомился со второй частью, и в первую очередь отмечу, что по сравнению с первой есть немалый прогресс. Он выражен в улучшении графики - неон в ночи смотрится прямо-таки сочно, машинки ярко горят и взрываются, как и бомбы, которые ты закладываешь у врагов. Музыка более разнообразна, хоть и много рекламы (зато какой! - этому постоянному обсуждению секса и соблазнительным женскимЧто ж, я ознакомился со второй частью, и в первую очередь отмечу, что по сравнению с первой есть немалый прогресс.
