    I actually really liked it in its present state now that it's been patched a lot. Freeing Orc held towns is great fun. It's also huge (probably where they went wrong in being too ambitious). Still got a lot of bugs but I could get round them. Certainly gave me a lot of fun for a long time.

    This game is horrible. The Gothic series is the greatest RPG ever, Gothic3 had serious performance problems though. This one is all the performance problems plus some, horrible questing, the dialogue makes no sense whatsoever. The web site talks about new technology to make the game better. There is absolutely no evidence of that anywhere. Save often, save often, save often. Ever read a This game is horrible. Ever read a manual for a new piece of equipment and it was obviously translated from some other language by a non native English speaker? That is exactly what the dialog is like. Much of the previous Gothic game controls were not implemented. You can steal everything and nobody challenges you so no need for thieving skills in a RPG. You can steal so much you never need to buy anything, you never run out of food, potions, weapons or spells. You find epic weapons all over the place that would typically be few and far between. You want for nothing, who said character development? Any length the game has is due to ridiculous quests that appear to exist only to make the game seem longer. There is some new content to the game, looks like someone started to do something interesting, just never completed it. There could not have been any quality control at all, you can't even complete a main game quest without a patch. Very big disappointment, very frustrating game, save your money. Start another WoW toon, get Witcher or play Gothic 1 and 2 again. Lets hope the Gothic4 developers get that one right and give us something that's worthy of our hard earned dollars and gaming time.… Expand

    I bought this thinking it was Gothic 3 + an expansion, but it turns out it was just the stand alone ''Forsaken Gods'' expansion.. Where to start.. the game as a whole feels like an RPG full of clichés with nothing new to offer, the voice acting is horrible, especially the main character, the script isn't better and the story is god forsakenly awful.     La historia es "aceptable", pero la cantidad de bugs que posee no permite disfrutar el juego.

    La trama de la saga puede terminar, tranquilamente, en Gothic 3 excluyendo la presente expansión.

    Lo recomiendo para los que quieran un poco más de Gothic 3 pero, únicamente, sí sale a la luz el parche de la comunidad que repare los errores.

Ich weiß noch ganz genau wie mein Großvater jedes Mal wenn er meinen Vater beim rauchen gesehen oder erwischt hat, diesem schwere Vorwürfe gemacht hat und ihm immer wieder erzählt hat wie schädlich da Ganze ist.     To rozszerzenie to istny dramat, nie można tego inaczej nazwać.
    Plusy:
    Miasta są ładne Minusy: Kompletne zepsucie wizerunku głównego bohatera, zrobili z niego okropnego durnia. Kompletne zepsucie fabuły. Te same bugi co w gothicu 3. Nie możesz wybrać drogi postaci, praktycznie wszystkie decyzje są podejmowane automatycznie. Nie możesz zabić swojego wroga, jest nieśmiertelny XD.    To rozszerzenie to istny dramat, nie można tego inaczej nazwać.

    Nie myśl że chociaż walka ma tu sens, możesz rozwalić połowe miasta, nikt nawet nie zapyta co się z nimi stało.
    Historia stworzona jako wydarzenia po zakończeniu Gothica 3 ścieżką Adanosa jest fatalna.
    Dialogi to paranoja, generał armi dopytując gdzie podział się wielki z bohater z Khorinis, gdy usłyszał odpowiedź "to ja" uwierzył na słowo i postanowił dołączyć do wojny całą frakcje, podjęcie decyzji trwało 10sekund.
    Jeśli strażnik nie chce Cie wpuścić to nawet nie dowiesz się czemu, domyśl się.

    Horrible Horrible Horrible ... Worst game IN THE SERIES. I don't call this game gothic 3 , hell not even Gothic , but i'll call this just FORSAKEN GODS. The problems with it : It is soooo buggy , the story and quests are so dull / lame / boring and feels EMPTY. The engine runs worser than Gothic 3 and i finally figured out why they didnt sell this at retail when i ordered for 5$ Horrible Horrible Horrible ... Worst game IN THE SERIES.     First and foremost. I am an avid fan of the Gothic universe. I love all of the games... except this one. MORE bugs that require the download of a 1.5GB community patch, the dialogue is HORRIBLE, the voice actors are amateurs who did not take the time to put an effort into their emotions, the main story as well as the side quests lack any sort of direction and are entirely redundant and notFirst and foremost. I am an avid fan of the Gothic universe. I love all of the games... except this one. THANK GOD Piranha-Bytes had nothing to do with it as it would have further tarnished their reputation after JoWood FORCED them to release Gothic III when it wasn't ready.

    BOTTOM LINE: Not worth your time, or money. If you want to give it a go, look at more of these reviews or go find it somewhere for free, but don't waste a single penny on this shabby attempt at a Gothic game, I'm stripping it from my library as a Gothic game, all the others are fine but I'm not even going to bother to sell this excuse for a game, it's going straight into the trash.    … Expand

    Im not gonna say its the worst game in the series, because i dont even consider it as a part of the glorious Gothic franchise. Im gonna say though that its one of the worst games ever made. Im giving it a 0 due to the amount of bugs, which might make the game LITERALLY unplayable. If you even get this thing to work, you might not even be able to beat it, because the quests and NPCs areIm not gonna say its the worst game in the series, because i dont even consider it as a part of the glorious Gothic franchise. Im gonna say though that its one of the worst games ever made. Im giving it a 0 due to the amount of bugs, which might make the game LITERALLY unplayable.     I just finished playing Forsaken Gods and honestly I did not find that many bugs if any noteworthy ones.
    I play games for the Gameplay and the story and I played Gothic 3, so to finally after many years, to buy the standalone expansion was a must. I cannot understand the low score people give this game, but I guess most of it is    My review is based on the Enhanced Edition from Steam.

If you like me loved the game and the story of Gothic 3 and even the Gothic Saga, then do not cheat yourself out of this experience. Forsaken Gods is the final link between Gothic 3 and Gothic 4.

So four years after release the developers never fixed this garbage, but Steam still sells it. This is not a game, its a FRAUD! AVOID at all costs! Great game 9/10. Stella Game 10/10. To get 10/10 it must be a game that can be (theoretically) play-able for 1000+ hours. Not only great but near endless fun.     Eh bien, non, pour une fois, ce n'est pas de leur faute, ils n'y sont pour rien... c'est en effet une autre bande de cons qui s'est occupé de ce Gothic et ma foi, ils ont dépassé leur "maître"... j'ai rarement vu un tel étron technique qui rame comme un porc sur une carte graphique de 2015 (R9 380) et pourtant il s'agit d'un "jeu" de 2008 ! pour situer les choses, Dragon Age Origins de 2009 tournait comme un charme avec une "simple" 6870 ! c'est ce qui sépare un développeur triple A d'un branque Z--- (Z triple moins) je suppose !

    Le plus effarant, c'est que ça tourne toujours comme une patate (y compris en... 720p !) après l'application d'un gros patch (pour l'époque) d'1,5 Go, boulotté par un autre studio censé améliorer la "performance" (et corriger les bugs !) de cette bouse, d'où l'appellation "Enhanced Edition". Le patch daterait de 2011 et depuis plus rien, car de toute façon, un étron reste un étron, inutile de le polir et le repolir, ça reste de la merde !

    Mais pire que les saccades permanentes, c'est le jeu entier qui est de toute façon injouable puisqu'il se passe au ralenti avec une latence incroyable dans les commandes comme si on jouait à un jeu Stadia ou PSNow ! il faut le voir pour le croire ou plutôt ne pas le voir, car ça n'en vaut pas la peine...

    De toute manière, le jeu reste un "Gothic", c'est-à-dire une sorte de soit-disant "jeu de rôle" très psycho-rigide dont la difficulté bien tarée et l'injouabilité sont légendaires. On donne deux coups d'épée, on est déjà "fatigué", les combats sont complètement foireux et l'interface, la présentation générale sont sévèrement, dramatiquement, lamentablement à la masse. Quand elles ne sont pas à l'ouest.

    Autre exemple frappant s'il en est et hallucinant avec le simple fait suivant : sortez votre épée au début du jeu dans le village et une meute de villageois se précipitent pour vous botter le cul aussi sec ! le monde ouvert (bien moche de surcroît !) est très générique, fade et perclus de clichés usés jusqu'à la corde. On ne va pas s'appesantir davantage sur cette daube qui figure d'ores et déjà dans le Guinness des pires daubes jamais démoulées ici et là : la poubelle attend...    … Expand

All in all, after installing about 7 patches Gothic 3 was a great game with good graphics and a big journey, it had nice climate and dialogues too. But, like The Doors sang, THIS IS THE END of a Gothic series, at least, in such I can't believe what they did to this game. I'm a great fan of Gothic series, I love all the games from there, but this... ...well, it's just crap! All in all, after installing about 7 patches Gothic 3 was a great game with good graphics and a big journey, it had nice climate and dialogues too. But, like The Doors sang, THIS IS THE END of a Gothic series, at least, in such shape. You will have to reinstall this game 3 (!) times before finishing. Repetitions, stupid talking horrible unstability, and, most important, BUGS, bugs and bugs. Don't buy it, even don't take it for free! So, we only can wait for Arcania or Risen...… Expand

No matter what I do, it will not run. However, the original Gothic 3 runs okay. Bugs taken into account, I am glad I got this as a bundle for $5 with all existing Gothic Games on steam.     Very similar play to Gothic 3 (no surprise). Game save/load times are greatly decresed from Gothic 3. However, there are gamebreaking bugs (such as certain characters being absent from their designated areas) that can occur even at the beginning, yet won't be know until being hours into the game. For my example I was missing Gorn. The only preventative measure to this issue is to literallyVery similar play to Gothic 3 (no surprise). Game save/load times are greatly decresed from Gothic 3. However, there are gamebreaking bugs (such as certain characters being absent from their designated areas) that can occur even at the beginning, yet won't be know until being hours into the game. For my example I was missing Gorn. The only preventative measure to this issue is to literally run to every city and check if all the required main questline characters are there, and this is time consuming/challenging at best. The game would range around an 8 for overall playability for me, but given that the missing character issue ruined 40+ hours of game time (I like to take my time and do all the available quests in each area. Plus I restarted the game a 2nd time to start over and did it again in a streamlined way before I discovered the character was missing and I just hadn't done something wrong (I try to play w/o guides and hints when I play). The issue was actually bad enough I couldn't complete the game (and kept reappearing despite repeated installs) so the score is halved.… Expand

    No words. Maybe it has few good ideas for storyline and quests but even without bugs and errors Forsaken Gods is only for hardcore fans of Gothic 3. The big, rich world of Myrtana is now boring and almost empty, voice acting souns extremely forced and also lack of Varant and Nordmar hurts. Hate to admit it but this is just a waste of money and time.

Des dialogues baclés, une histoire nian nian, et je ne sais pas si c'est moi, mais je n'ai pas du dépasser les 5 fps, juste en marchant. Sans oublier que la sourie m'a donné l'impression d'être ivre, vu le temps de réaction necessaire. Ce fut un soulagement de quitter ce jeu, mais je regrette vraiment lesSurtout n'achetez pas forsaken gods. Ce jeu est une honte pour toute la franchise.     The game is just not what you would have expected after the supreme Gothic 2. The game is just all over the place. It seems the developers tried to make the game too big and just didn't have the resources to pull it through. A real dissapointment.

But worst of all I consider a heavy altered personality of the Hero and his friends. Whoever wrote a story probably didn't know much about Gothic. Sad.     I love the "normal" gothic 3, but even as someone that has played it though a dozen times from all factions I cant recommend this game. It has had over half the game world cut off, the missions are boring and the character has turned into a douchbag. If you loved the original Gothic youll hate this ;)

    I would recommend this game because it can be fun as hell.. But i cannot. Missions are buggy, can't complete some because characters dont let you speak to them. I can't take it anymore. I'm done.

    大体のストーリー

    相変わらず雑魚であるはずの動物系の敵が鬼畜、テレポ石が見つけにくいなど３から変わっていない。
    囲まれてウンゥンゥンウン、アーッ！でゲームオーバーは珍しくない。
    ボリュームも後日談的外伝な扱いなのかいける場所はそう多くない。
    なので技能ポイントの量も限られてくるので生産スキルはほぼ地雷。
    いい所・・・？今回は武器の束集めなくていいところとかじゃないかなぁｗ
    非公式の日本語MODでプレイ、結構誤訳が多いので注意

    Главная проблема «Отвергнутых богов» - это вовсе не крайняя забагованность, тем более, что благодаря патчам коммьюнити, практически все баги    Как бы сильно я не любил линейку игр Готики, эту часть назвать вкусной или хотя бы съедобной, чрезвычайно тяжело. Получился какой-то ненужный нарост на серии, как в сюжетно-логическом, так и в геймплейном планах. Уж лучше никак, чем так...

    Главная проблема «Отвергнутых богов» - это вовсе не крайняя забагованность, тем более, что благодаря патчам коммьюнити, практически все баги отловлены и изжиты (до сих пор помню, как лет пять назад меня забавляли головы убитых персонажей в инвентаре), а какая-то непередаваемая занудность. Все квесты в игре сводятся к бесконечной беготне и телепортам между городами, сходи туда, принеси то, проводи жену, напои коня… Сюжет – просто бестолковый, герой, который кровью и потом зарабатывал себе репутацию, вдруг становится никому неизвестным мальчиком на побегушках, который послушно соглашается работать курьером даже у последнего миртанского забулдыги. Зато поработали над диалогами. В духе школьного КВН. Зато с обязательным пафосом: "Вы все у меня теперь заживете по другому, грядут великие времена, ну ладно, где там твое ведро с мусором, давай вынесу".

    Мир Готики здесь нещадно купирован, Варант и Нордмар просто скальпированы по самые не балуйся. Но даже уцелевшая Миртана выглядит как мир, изрядно пропылесошенный. Такое впечатление, что перед разработчиками поставили задачу – вот смотрите, вам осталась только миртанская часть материка, постарайтесь сделать ее... хуже. И это у них получилось! Браво!

    Ну хорошо, это позиционируется как адд-он, хотя по сути, это вообще не он. В этом случае, надеяться на какие-то глобальные изменения недальновидно. Но тут даже не об изменениях речь идет, а каком-то сознательном превращении того, что неплохо работало в инвалидную версию. Это касается не только прохождения квестов, но и прокачки персонажа, ставшей еще более странной (хотя, казалось, ну куда еще) боевки и неподъемной магии. Влезли и в экономику, совершенно не понятно зачем. Заниматься сколачиванием капитала все равно безумно скучно, хоть и стало легче.

    Безусловно, кое-что удалось. Например, добавили новые доспехи, оружие и даже заклинания. Правда, все это, скорее, визуальные рюши, нежели чем что-то действительно заметное. Появилось и с пяток новых монстров. За троглодитов – пять, а вот жирная курица-рахит размером с дом и надписью «Дракон» изрядно повеселила.

    "Отвергнутые боги" - это неудача и разочарование. Это тот редкий случай, когда я не рекомендую игру даже для фанатов серии.    … Expand

It is a quickly produced and shoddily written expansion that improves little to nothing about the game. This is the product that forced the developer to leave their publisher and start the Risen series, so I guess in that regard it could be seen as historical.

    The script is BAD even for a Gothic / Risen game. Some of the dialogue is like a bad english puzzle. Even in its native German I can guarantee you the script was garbage because if you take away the poor grammar and apocalyptic voice acting, it's still boring and uninformative.

    The map is the same as in Gothic 3 they just lock off Varant and Nordmarr. Pretty lazy. The quests are WoW type "go and get this" or "go and kill this".

    I loved Gothic 3 but I can't play this POS for more than 15 minutes. I've tried 3 times.    … Expand

    As quite a fan of the Gothic series I can tell you this game is not worth buying. The voices are all messed up, the dubbing is bad. The quests are like something a small child would make.
    This is not a follow on of Gothic 3 its a supreme turd.
    Although there is some merits to be had with the (Verrry slightly) better graphics they have made the main character a prize ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ who isnt    As quite a fan of the Gothic series I can tell you this game is not worth buying. The combat system seems counter intuitive and just feels wrong continually.
    I say this as someone who has completed Gothic 1 as all camps, Gothic 2 as Mercenaries/Fire mage/Paladin, and Gothic 3 as the Innos ending and the Beliar ending. So I think i know the game fairly well.

    This isnt Gothic its some random wannabe. Be warned if you buy this it is not Gothic as we know it.    … Expand

Да, тут есть все отрицательные качества третьей части: отвратительная боёвка, слабая ролевая система, дебильные ммошные квесты и т.д. Плюс к старым болячкам добавились новые. Главный герой после путешествия в другом измерении сходит с ума и становится дауном-патриотом.Тупизм и патриотизм. Прозвучит странно, но эта поделка по мотивам Готики 3 мне понравилась чуть больше, чем сама Готика 3. Да, тут есть все отрицательные качества третьей части: отвратительная боёвка, слабая ролевая система, дебильные ммошные квесты и т.д. Плюс к старым болячкам добавились новые. Во всех диалогах они несут полную пафоса чушь и зачастую противоречат сами себе через предложение. Однако, помимо дебильных, растягивающих игру квестов, есть парочка интересных и смешных заданий. Сам сюжет имел бы место быть в готике, будь на месте "мирного жителя миртаны" не наш любимый безымянный, а какой-нибудь отпрыск Робара II. Тогда бы большое количества глупостей и вызывающих негодование моментов в игре попросту не смогло бы быть. Но имеем что имеет: потенциально нормальный сюжет, загубленный плохими сценаристами и унаследованный плохой игровой процесс. Хоть проходится это безобразие часов за 15 всё равно не тратьте своё время на эту игру, разве что хотите поржать с плохой игры и кретинских диалогов.… Expand

    Apart the final enemy it's seems a mod not a new DLC. You can roam only in central zone no desert and no iceland.
    Only recomended for who love this saga.

    - Ganze Spielelemente entfernt: Brauen von Perma-Tränken aufgrund fehlender Zutaten komplett unmöglich.
    - Bugs ohne Ende (Endgegner die in Wänden verschwinden, Begleitpersonen die in Klippen festhängen ...)

Für die Fans der Reihe gehören diese beiden Spiele nicht mehr zur Lore und das aus gutem Grund. Bei Götterdämmerung wurde ein absurdes Spiel geboten, unspielbar in seiner Ursprungsform (Quests nicht abschließbar, Abstürze und fehlerhafte Übersetzungen) und verwirrend im Spieldesign. Doch die Gothic Community wäre nicht die Gothic Community, wenn sie nicht dafür eine Lösung hätte. Einige Modder haben das Spiel doch tatsächlich spielbar gemacht und zwar mit der (mittlerweile offiziellen) Enhanced Edition und einer Content Mod. Ich habe mich dazu überwunden es zu Ehren der Modder einmal durchzuspielen (Spielzeit circa 20 Stunden) und muss sagen es war wirklich verblüffend. Verglichen mit dem original Spiel vom Release ein völlig anderes Erlebnis. Keine Bugs, Quests werden erklärt, neue Waffen, keine Abstürze oder falsch übersetzte Dialoge. Man muss allerdings sagen es bleibt trotzdem noch Götterdämmerung, ein Addon ohne wirkliche Neuerungen. Keine neuen Perks, keine neue Spielwelt (dafür eine überarbeitete Gothic 3 Map ohne Nordmar/ Varant) und kaum neue Items (und wenn dann sind diese Großteils von den Moddern erstellt). Die Quests sind zudem verwirrend, Dialoge viel zu kurz und die Hauptstory sehr fragwürdig.

    Fazit: Wer das Spiel als eine große Gothic 3 Mod sieht (dank Enhanced Edition und Content Mod) kann durchaus Spaß haben. Als eigenständiges Spiel fällt es durch und ist ein Schandfleck der Gothic Reihe - die aber zum Glück mit Gothic III endet.    … Expand

    Somehow never played this before despite being a Gothic fan. So fantastically bad :D A third of the big world from Gothic 3 (so still a sizeable world) copied in, but with like 80% unnamed NPCs, only a bunch of really really bad quests (Skyrim ones look like high art next to this), the worst dialogue writing I've ever heard in any game, horribly imbalanced combat, and not much goodness atSomehow never played this before despite being a Gothic fan. Quests are even more horrible than in G3, dialogues are unimaginably crappy, typical dialogue goes like this: -"Hey, I have a quest for you. Find my sword." "Fine, I'll do it" (after finding sword) "I found your sword." -    I thought that there can't be anything worse than Gothic 3 and boy, was I wrong.

    Combat is horrible, because it's the same clickfest from G3 but limited by your stamina. If stamina is at 0, the only thing one can do is run. Typical fight: click, click, click, click, click - run in circle like an idiot, waiting for until stamina increases - click, click, click, click - wait until stamina....

    The world is empty and besides main quest there's basically nothing to do. It is completely normal to go through huge forest and not encounter a one single enemy or anything interesting.

    The ONLY GOOD thing about this game is that it wasn't developed by Piranha Bytes, because any developer who develops such a horrible, horrible abomination deserve to play it in hell for eternity.    … Expand

    The single worst computer game I have ever played, which is a bold but accurate statement. Forsaken Gods was made by an Indian games company after they bought the rights to the Gothic franchise, so don't blame the original Gothic developers for how bad this steaming pile turned out.     Game for the premiere time was unplayable. After patching game is ok and the general game quality is similar to base Gothic 3. Story is not very intersting

    This datadisc was a disaster. I usually finish all my games, but this datadisc was so stupid and buggy that I had to uninstall it. Real garbage.

    I firstly played this game four years ago and it was a disaster-robbed version of GOTHIC 3 with a lot of bugs and fool quests sometimes but still I finished it, Now I bought it again in ENHANCED EDITION and many things changed, The game graphics is greatly improved, Stability is very nice, No bugs at all and it looks like a solid data disc for perfect game, The group which repaired theI firstly played this game four years ago and it was a disaster-robbed version of GOTHIC 3 with a lot of bugs and fool quests sometimes but still I finished it, Now I bought it again in ENHANCED EDITION and many things changed, The game graphics is greatly improved, Stability is very nice, No bugs at all and it looks like a solid data disc for perfect game, The group which repaired the game did very good job here - 8/10… Expand
