Unfortunately this game does not give you anything special to consider. Everything is average level. There is no characters progression or deep story. Storu is in the first 10 minutes and in the last 10 minutes. Open world is average with a lot of copy-paste. Music, effects and gameplay are fine, but nothing new. Expected much more from this game.

Very average, gets boring in a few hours. Anime fans may find this game great. Normal people won't.

In terms of visual design, I believe the game is quite impressive. The effects and visual details, especially, contribute significantly to the gaming experience. However, I encountered some issues with playability. While the animations look good, the game can sometimes become monotonous, and certain areas feel empty.

As for the story, I couldn't fully immerse myself in it, primarily due to my inadequate English language skills. Therefore, I can't provide a critique in this regard.

In conclusion, "Ghostwire: Tokyo" is visually striking, but it seems to have some weaknesses in terms of playability and mission repetition. Proficiency in English might be required for a deeper understanding of the story. I recommend considering these factors when evaluating the game.

Note: I played the game through Game Pass.

Just about my only complaint about going back to Ghostwire: Tokyo was that the game doesn’t look quite as nice on the Steam Deck as it did when I played it on PS5 last year. When it rained, it made everything look a little more washed out, and it made it tougher to tell when you were entering a foggy area that was off-limits. You realize quickly enough when you’re somewhere you’re not supposed to be, but it was still a little disappointing. Overall, though, I’ll reiterate what I wrote up top: Spider’s Thread makes a great game even better. Ghostwire: Tokyo didn’t get nearly the level of attention it deserved on its initial release last year, and now that the game is free for Game Pass and PS+ subscribers (and generally inexpensive enough to buy on PC), there’s even less reason why it should be slept on. Do yourself a favour and get it now.

This isn’t the first game to offer a dense, incredibly detailed rendering of Tokyo, but maybe it’s the first to make you feel like all of that work isn’t window dressing.

The unique setting really helps to lift Ghostwire: Tokyo from myriad of problems such as a plain open-world design and lackluster combat. If you love Japan and mystical powers, then Ghostwire can be just the game you're looking for.
