Oct 23, 2020Genshin Impact is a beautiful game dragged down by its long-term content. Once you've cleared the (admittedly great) single-player content, there's very little to do. The energy system ("Resin") restricts productive play to roughly twenty minutes a day without spending, and the gacha rates are abysmally low (lower even than stingy FGO). Don't bother playing until these issues are fixed.

Oct 1, 2020It become incredibly shallow and boring after the first chapter, the map are big and pretty but there are so many mindless grind and exploration is not rewarding. They can't give you cool stuff like fancy weapon because that's for payed lootbox only, so all you get is just fodders.

Oct 23, 2020The game has extreme potential but the company is greedy and refusing to change the predatory energy/stamina system called resin. Everything is hard-gated by it and it turns the game into a chore.
With a few changes the game has extreme potential though. -

Oct 22, 2020Don't play this game until the fix the resin issue. Seriously people have been complaining for weeks now and the devs come out and add 40 to the 120 cap. This does nothing to fix the issue.
0/10 for now. -

CD-ActionFeb 8, 2021Rather than a typical online game, Genshin Impact resembles a traditional single-player jRPG with a real-time combat. For a free-to-play title it is very impressive, but turns out to be pretty derivative and quickly slumps into monotony. [13/2020, p.52]

Nov 12, 2020Oh, the joy of exploring this beautiful world. Oh, the clever combat, the great voice acting, the compelling story. This is one of the best RPGs of the year. And it’s almost beyond comprehension that you can get it for free.

Oct 20, 2020Overall, in spite of things that should bring Genshin Impact down, the game is so much fun to play that the negatives are ultimately minor gripes. [...] The gameplay is smooth and simplistic, and it works great on all platforms - though I’m still not sure why the PlayStation version can’t be linked to a Mihoyo account so I could play on my phone when I’m not at home (PS Vita version please??) but it’s a small gripe to an otherwise terrific game.
