    Genshin is a real nightmare without spending money or getting some character most of the systems are worst then game before 2010. It also has very overexposed characters and they cant do it without ruining characters personality or lore and also Devs only listen to Chinesse comunity while ignoring 99% of other region communitys.     started playing it since day one because i wanted to play BOTW but couldnt and thought this was similar enough. it is not. the two are totaly different games, each to their merit. i ended up stop playing it one year ago because i was sick of it and lets say the reputation that comes with being a genhin player isnt the best.

    anyways, the game is good. although not finished yet, it has a compelling story and a stunning world. if played in a casual manner, it is possible to have some fun playing the main and side quests, participating in live events and earning some currency to unlock a few of your favorite characters. the way i recommend playing is just doing quests and participating in events and thats it. no watching yt videos about the best builds for each character nor trying to max out on the abyss, which is arguably the hardest, lowest profitable challenge in the game. try to log in from patch to patch to see the new features
    the worst part about this game, as well as other gacha games, is that it makes the coolest characters the hardest to obtain, requiring daily grind of currencies which can make you highly addicted as it did to me years ago.
    in resume, play YOUR game and try not to get envolved in minmaxing your characters as i did, which ultimately led to me being sick of the game.    … Expand

    how greedy this hoyovers and disgusting making you pay to play more the resing isnt' enough and now with more places like (inazuma - semaru- fontain) we need more resin at least and fix the gacha system i luv this game but this game needs many's thing to be changed

    This game took me by surprise. I played it briefly during launch, but I'm having a pleasant surprise upon returning recently. It's extremely fun, with lots of quests and events to explore the different continents. The story is rich, engaging and immerses you in its content without needing to be deep or overly complex.

    I literally can not even start! When I try to create an account, it wan'ts a code but they somehow screwed up the textfield and all I can enter in, are numbers from 1 to 0 and the letter e. But the problem is, they ask for UGT6 for example, which I can not type **** this game I guess?
    How someone fails on programming something like this is beyond me....

    The story of this game sporadic. Player have to wait for long time just do some outside event which do not relative to the main story. Which player feel boring because all they have to do is not follow the story and see what happen to Aether or Lumie in the way they find each other. All the have to do is play some boring event to have Primogem. Too disappointed about the story, theThe story of this game sporadic.     I really really like this game. Exploring like in Zelda Breath of the wild, and comparing to other RPG a very nice combat system. And also a nice / interesting Story.

    BUT: All Talkes and charackters are so annoying. And you cant skip them. thats the worst part of the game, cause you cant fight and explore without having to talk to everyone for hours. 95% of my playtime is this forced    I really really like this game. Exploring like in Zelda Breath of the wild, and comparing to other RPG a very nice combat system. And also a nice / interesting Story.

    BUT:

    I was one of those people, until one day I was bored and decided to try it because why the hell not.

I am proud to say that I approve this game as it really showcases what an open world game can make of itself after years of teamwork and dedication.     Good game, story is pretty good and combat is nice with different elemental reactions. Characters are good even though they are always half-naked and the world has life. Its like Breath of the Wild. But this game is a gacha game, making it not as good. The game is incredibly grindy with having to upgrade your characters with artifacts and level up material. Resin, which you have a limited supply of, is used to go into temples that grant you artifacts after defeat. So you do about a few of these temples a day and your resin is already out, meaning you have to basically wait a full day to have all your resin back again. But resin is not only used for artifact farming, its also used for EVERY SINGLE THING TO UPGRADE YOUR CHARACTER. The game also has side quests which are very boring as they can be ridiciously hard and/or have lots of pointless dialogue which you can skip through easily as none of it matters. This game also has no replayablity has it is so hard to get back into. I've spent so many hours on this game that I regret I've spent. smh.… Expand

    Many people will see the Gacha feature of Genshin as a big Issue, but in my oppinion it is just a way to slow down the pace of getting new characters. Nowadays i really like it to farm for the new Characters.

    The Map additions that came in the last three years are just great. Almost from every climate zone in the world there is a region for. Not only forest and mountains, also Ice hills, desert, cliffsregion, jungle and many more beautiful looking locations excist in this game.

    This game ist perfect for everyone that likes a great MMORPG with an animestyle where they have to grind to get forward in the story and build their character    … Expand

    Rather than a typical online game, Genshin Impact resembles a traditional single-player jRPG with a real-time combat. For a free-to-play title it is very impressive, but turns out to be pretty derivative and quickly slumps into monotony. [13/2020, p.52]

    Oh, the joy of exploring this beautiful world. Oh, the clever combat, the great voice acting, the compelling story. This is one of the best RPGs of the year. And it’s almost beyond comprehension that you can get it for free.

    Overall, in spite of things that should bring Genshin Impact down, the game is so much fun to play that the negatives are ultimately minor gripes. [...] The gameplay is smooth and simplistic, and it works great on all platforms - though I’m still not sure why the PlayStation version can’t be linked to a Mihoyo account so I could play on my phone when I’m not at home (PS Vita version please??) but it’s a small gripe to an otherwise terrific game.
