    I literally can not even start! When I try to create an account, it wan'ts a code but they somehow screwed up the textfield and all I can enter in, are numbers from 1 to 0 and the letter e. But the problem is, they ask for UGT6 for example, which I can not type **** this game I guess?
    How someone fails on programming something like this is beyond me....

    The story of this game sporadic. Player have to wait for long time just do some outside event which do not relative to the main story. Which player feel boring because all they have to do is not follow the story and see what happen to Aether or Lumie in the way they find each other.     I really really like this game. Exploring like in Zelda Breath of the wild, and comparing to other RPG a very nice combat system. And also a nice / interesting Story.

    BUT: All Talkes and charackters are so annoying. And you cant skip them. thats the worst part of the game, cause you cant fight and explore without having to talk to everyone for hours. 95% of my playtime is this forced    I really really like this game. Exploring like in Zelda Breath of the wild, and comparing to other RPG a very nice combat system. And also a nice / interesting Story.

I am proud to say that I approve this game as it really showcases what an open world game can make of itself after years of teamwork and dedication.     Good game, story is pretty good and combat is nice with different elemental reactions. Characters are good even though they are always half-naked and the world has life. Its like Breath of the Wild. But this game is a gacha game, making it not as good. The game is incredibly grindy with having to upgrade your characters with artifacts and level up material. So you do about a few of these temples a day and your resin is already out, meaning you have to basically wait a full day to have all your resin back again. But resin is not only used for artifact farming, its also used for EVERY SINGLE THING TO UPGRADE YOUR CHARACTER. The game also has side quests which are very boring as they can be ridiciously hard and/or have lots of pointless dialogue which you can skip through easily as none of it matters. This game also has no replayablity has it is so hard to get back into. I've spent so many hours on this game that I regret I've spent. smh.… Expand

    I set aside my hatred of anime to try this game. I also knew it was a Gacha game & was still willing to try it. That was a mistake.

    I have to say, the game is very well done. It has it all; Unique characters, lots of story content, a beautifully crafted world, fun combat, & lots of exploration. All of that impressive content is held back by the greed of the developer/publisher. The    I set aside my hatred of anime to try this game.     1.- npc iguales, sosos y sin personalidad
    2.- diseños sobrecargados de los personajes 3.- mal balance entre elementos, haciendo unos más fuertes que otros
    4.- historia llena de huecos argumentales 5.- pocas recompensas y eventos de relleno pésimos 6.- mucho texto, tipo DEMASIADO, una misión principal dura 2 horas donde 1 hora y media son de texto aburrido y lento, no es broma, cronometree eso
    7.- exploración lenta y aburrida 8.- misiones de personajes aún peores, sin mucho sentido y cada vez más aburridas.
    9.- el poco cariño que le tiene la empresa a sus consumidores
    10.- que no sean capaces de meter más modelos de personajes en vez de los mismos de hace 3 años.

    No le pongo un 1 solo porque tiene una excelente banda sonora    … Expand

    Es horrible, es repetitivo, tiene un sistema terrible y micropagos innecesarios. Solo lo he visto con un amigo en su casa y fue terrible. Ya me he cansado de este juego y espero que hagan cosas más interesantes y no está basura. Si quieren algo bueno jueguen a Persona 5 Royal.

If you don't need anything, open a ticket !     A game is always made in a way so that the player wants to "beat" it. A Mario game makes us want to run and jump to beat a platform structure, and the latest Zelda made us want to explore and power up in order to beat an open world. But the game world in Genshin Impact doesn't have an intentional structure at all. It has flimsy bits copied and pasted from Breath of the Wild, supergluedA game is always made in a way so that the player wants to "beat" it. A Mario game makes us want to run and jump to beat a platform structure, and the latest Zelda made us want to explore and power up in order to beat an open world. But the game world in Genshin Impact doesn't have an intentional structure at all. It has flimsy bits copied and pasted from Breath of the Wild, superglued together seamlessly enough to give the impression of a real game. Instead, the meat of Genshin Impact is in the menu, which is a merciless jungle where the currencies are called Mora, Fates and Primogems, but are all proxies for the same rabbit hole: real-world transactions. Now, some folks enjoy seeing their money siphoned out of their accounts since there's a perverse thrill in knowing you might not get anything back, making the times you do all the more exciting. But for those of us who want to play an actual game should look elsewhere, because if you take a look under the hood of this thing, there is nothing to beat, only things to buy.… Expand

    It’s an open-world game, but it’s also a gacha game. The daily and weekly requirements, the currencies, and the luck of the draw all influence how and when I play. I can’t cram all my bosses or domains into one day of playing because of arbitrary caps the developers put in place. I can’t go pick all the flowers I want because some will only respawn every two days; like the inner machinations of its ever-looming systems, that serenity I found on the mountaintop is also dictated by the grind.
    And so, while there are a lot of ways to play, the game isn’t truly open — I can’t always do what I want, when I want. I love the world, but I always feel like there’s a tension between loving the world and exploring it, but always feeling like there’s an invisible hand, which is not completely free of insidious intentions, guiding my habits.

    This game, straight up copies The legend of Zelda breath of the wild and doesn't even try to hide it though genshin's developers said they were "inspired". The only thing they were inspired by is they'r hunger for money with the gacha system.

    Минусов просто гора. Инфантильный, пустой и растянутый сюжет. Нет, не второстепенный, основной. Я прошел половину сюжета Сумеру и это все еще нелепая чушь.
    Комьюнити безбожно инфантильное и по тому как они пытаются всем доказать качество этой игры, создается ощущение что они никогда не играли в нормальные игры.    Эта игра ужасна. Единственный ее положителньый момент это хороший визуал.

    Награда не соответствует затраченному времени очень мягко говоря. Сам по себе геймплей крайне унылый.
    Эндгеймового контента просто нет. Что-то похожее на него это 3 уровня арены раз в 20 дней. Для их прохождения нужно вкачать 8 персонажей (а еще, я уверен абсолютно случайно каждые 20 дней эффекты подстраиваются под текущего персонажа из баннера). Награда за этот контент копеечная. Стоит того только если вы стабильно по каким-то причинам играете в это и у вас уже есть 8 подходящих персонажей.

    The base game seems pretty well made and the open world is very good. However, it's still a predatory gacha game that prays on your money and will often end up forcing you to spend way more than you'd spend on any AAA game just to progress, and the abundance of child characters in questionable clothing really drove me away as well.

    I think the game looks good but it feels very dead with minimum animals spewing and no NPC's anywhere but in the walls or standing still waiting for you to talk to them.
    If you DARE want to play the game with friends enjoy 13 HOURS of aimlessly grinding boring ass side missions.
    The graphics looked good and the world interesting but the game failed to make me care so i am just trying to skip over cutscene's and return to the very boring gameplay
    The voice acting is also a big no for me so i just ended up muting dialogue sounds

The cash required for 1 pull is super expensive, and the 5-star grantee at 100 pulls still only has 50% for the desinatied character in the pool - a greedy and disgusting mechanic to further lower your chances and increase the player game time or top-ups. For perspective, Korean MMOs require heavy grinding, but you can pay a much smaller amount to get your desired item guaranteed; Genshin? A black hole and a lottery machine - if you are lucky, just calculate the probability of your 5 stars and use that luck to buy the lottery and you are already multi-millionaires.
    -No point and meaning to exploring worldwide unless you want to pick up trash daily.
    -Don't even want to mention how unfinished and polished the combat system is.
    -Some good art designs, but you can sense the map design copied many elements from other older MMOs.
    -Good music (the only reason I gave 2 scores)
    -Company with a huge amount of marketing instead of spending money to make a good game, and Mihayo is good at picking their target audience - mostly people who never played many great games in life. This casing the fanboys are ruining the entire gaming industry these days, and I won't support such companies.

    Genshin Impact is a game that honestly runs and plays far better than most free games have the right to do so. While it does borrow many aspects from Breath Of The Wild, it uses them as a base to further build upon and in my opinion, really comes into its own game after the first tutorial prologue by implementing features such as elemental synergies, special ability combos, weapon and character levelling and more.

    Being a F2P game, it has to make its monetization somehow and the way Genshin has approached it is through the gacha system.

    For those that don't know, Gacha is a form of entertainment popular in Japan where coins are inserted into a dispenser to get a toy capsule out of it, the catch being you have no idea what you will get on the other side. Genshin has implemented this feature through the "Wish" system where new characters and weaponry can be summoned using either in-game currency or premium currency...or a combination of the two.

    While this may put off a lot of people (and I don't blame them, coming from a background of gacha addiction) Genshin has 4 key distinct features I would like to turn your attention towards

    1. Genshin provides you with a base set of characters for free and they are more than capable of carrying you through the game on their own. No Story related content exists which is inaccessible to your party as long as you have these base characters. They may be relatively low tier characters overall, but the game doesn't halt your progression unless you pull a lucky draw on the gacha, unlike a certain game I could Star Wars Battlefront 2...I mean mention.

    2. While I did mention the characters you are given for free are low tier, Genshin is a single-player (with co-op) game with NO PvP as of the writing of this review. Meaning if you and your friend rolled the gacha and he lucked out with a 5 star and you didn't, you are not in a statistically weaker position. So while the gacha characters are better and more appealing, they are not mandatory to complete the game and you can play the game from start to finish with the characters provided to you, their tier list placement be damned.

    3. Genshin Impact has a pity system where if you don't get a 5 star within your first 89 rolls, your 90th one is guaranteed to be a 5-star (and if the 5 star happens to be a weapon instead of a sought after 5-star character, then your 180th roll will be guaranteed to be a 5-star character). As a result it is heavily, HEAVILY advised to save up your Primogems and Intertwined Fate (your summoning materials) for a banner that has a character you covet so not only can you have a greater chance of rolling them, but you can take advantage of the pity system as well. Genshin also has 4-star characters available in the shop on a monthly rotating basis, so if you are feeling particularly unlucky today and the shop has a character you want (and you have the resources to buy them), they're as good as yours, no gacha needed (as far as I know, this doesn't extend to the 5-star characters)

    4. Genshin has a unique rotating summoning banner where pulling a 10 roll guarantees you a 4 star or higher character (not a weapon, character), so you never feel cheated out of getting at least a character for your efforts

    So in conclusion, Genshin is a fast, fun and most importantly FREE ARPG with a lot to offer for its price of $0. I hope this becomes the new hallmark for free games, as Mihoyo has shown that if you put the effort into your game, the players will naturally flock to your game (17 million downloads as of this review, good job Mihoyo!). It's worth giving it a try at the very least because you can't beat the price tag of zero dollars

The game is low-key feminist from the start.
    The first chick you meet (intro) is incredibly powerful. Then you meet Paimon, who's not human. The next chick you meet is a knight. And the first guy you meet is incredibly feminine. Then you get to the city and the leader of the knights is a chick, along with a mage, who's also in some leadership position and who acts in a very femdom way.
    Not much changes later. You even meet a chick bard who says that her bad husband wanted her to quit her job and take care of the home, and that's why she must warn all the women on the continent.

    One positive is that this bs made it easy for me not to spend any money on them.    … Expand

    It's a great game, I liked the story, the music, the characters, etc. But in my opinion it gets too difficult and you have to spend *so much time* to even have a chance at beating the bosses. I've been stuck on one quest for almost a year now. And don't even get me started on upgrading characters- the grind is endless. 4 points for the first quest- after that it just goes downhill. TheIt's a great game, I liked the story, the music, the characters, etc. But in my opinion it gets too difficult and you have to spend *so much time* to even have a chance at beating the bosses. So just come along and have a nice evening. Welcome to the modern Las Vegas, now open for minors. Don't worry, you have it all under control. You don't have to spend a single dollar, just enjoy the show.

    Only a few would admit spending money or an absurdly amount of time on this game, slogging through menial tasks and one bland fetch quest after the other, to farm pitiful amounts of premium currency for another "free" pull at the slot machine.

    Yes, running from point A to B and back again might get very boring but, you see: "You get 4 free summons for it, too. That is, if you do the 5 extra missions after. It’s a pretty great trade."

    So, chop chop, don't be lazy. Ok, "sometimes" players feel bad after they got nothing worthwhile, pull after pull after pull, hours upon hours, dollars upon dollars, down the drain. "But you get so much content for free, you see?!" Yes, it's hard to admit to have wasted your time or money because of all the sunk cost fallacies. Yet, wasting your time seems even worse. Many people seem to forget that their time on this planet is infinitely more valuable than the money they did or did not spend.

    But let's forget about gambling and talk about player retention... er, the "Epic Open World Gameplay Experience ".

    Genshin Impact features a boss fight against an "Oceanid". It talks to you very sagely: "With no place to flow, even the purest of water will begin to envy the forms of living things who can roam about freely. It is this 'water' that will be used to drown you and the pollution ..." etc. etc.

    This boss will drop 2 "Cleansing Heart" items which are required to upgrade a character attuned to the water element. Like many items in this game, this challenge is the only source of that upgrade material in the entire game. To upgrade one single character, you need 46 of these "Cleansing Hearts". Imagine the fun farming this boss, hearing the same lines repeatedly... "With no place to flow, even the purest of water..."

    So, you got another character attuned to the water element? Have fun doing it all over again. And that’s just the beginning: For 1 character, you need to farm 6 different materials including "gold" and experience tomes. To upgrade their talents, you need another 2 different materials plus more gold. For their weapons, you need another 3 different materials plus more gold. Now multiple the time needed to grind for all these resources for every single character you want to level up. And this is still just the tip of the iceberg. See all the other reviews mentioning the endless "soul-crushing grind" to get specific artifact sets with viable stats. It’s layers upon layers of grind.

    From a children's novel (The Phantom Tollbooth) which seems quite relevant today:
    "'Well, I wish I knew how long it was going to take,' Milo wondered. (...) Milo took out the shiny pencil from his pocket and quickly calculated that, at the rate they were working, it would take each of them eight hundred and thirty-seven years to finish.
    'Pardon me,' he said, tugging at the man's sleeve and holding the sheet of figures up for him to see, 'but it's going to take eight hundred and thirty-seven years to do these jobs.'
    'Is that so?' replied the man, without even turning around. 'Well, you'd better get on with it then.'

    this game will honey trap you by the beautiful world at the start and all the loot you can get. soon or later you will find out this game is just a credit card-sweeping simulator it will force your hand to p2w and get gems in order to get the new cool characters coming out soon ( reused assets and recolor ) = new character + slap a new name on it.

    I have two AR60 accounts and I still hate this game. It's very expensive to get all the content in the game. The game has pitiful F2P rewards. The devs never rework the kits of garbage characters. The censorship is getting worse and worse. We'll never see character skins like the ones they released in 2020 again. I can't wait for a real competitor to come out that's not run by prudes.

    2. Enemy AoE attack indicator circles that ARE NOT equal to the AoE attack damage area;

    3. Corrosion status & Drowning affect all team members but deadly/lethal fall damage only affects/kills one character (this is so dumb);

    4. Kairagi being placed as mini-bosses in bounties & events (they also have a 2nd Phase), but, is not classified as an Elite Enemy and their artifact loot has been removed (this is also dumb);

    5. Cryo status also affecting ATK Spd when Tutorial says it only affects Movement Spd;

    6. Adding the Blazing Heat status without adding ways to counter it (i.e. Goulash counters Sheer Cold);

    7. Characters protected by shields receive damage from Smoldering Flames inside the Taishan Mansion talent level-up material domain;

    8. Characters protected by shields still receive damage when attacked while switching characters;

    9. Ruin Cruisers (triangle shaped automatons) can lock-on & unleash their AoE attack to the player even when they have no/zero visual of the character;

    10. In Dragonspine, Cryo Cicin Mages are generating new Cryo shield right after breaking previous Cryo shield like they don't have any other moves;

    13. Characters with Alternate Sprint get stuck in various things on the ground.

    14. Bow-using characters get stuck (like Alternate Sprint characters) in various things on the ground while they are in Aimed Shot mode;

    15. Electrograna are blocking the Aimed Shot mode of bow-users;

    16. In the Forsaken Rift Talent Level-Up Material Domain, the icicles still drop/fall even after the Challenge has been completed;    … Expand

    Doesn't have inverted mouse support...in 2022, a standard option in video games for at least 25 years making it unplayable. No, I'm not installing 3rd party software to get around such a ridiculously amateurish oversight. Uninstalled in the first 10 minutes after forced to player on controller and the game froze up.

    Wow it's so hard to add more action into the game with more enemies and what not. Also the skip button holy **** adding a png into the game and coding it to skip ahead of time wooooow. Why adding characters with powers when the sandbox is utter crap...

    Rather than a typical online game, Genshin Impact resembles a traditional single-player jRPG with a real-time combat. For a free-to-play title it is very impressive, but turns out to be pretty derivative and quickly slumps into monotony. [13/2020, p.52]

    Overall, in spite of things that should bring Genshin Impact down, the game is so much fun to play that the negatives are ultimately minor gripes. [...] The gameplay is smooth and simplistic, and it works great on all platforms - though I’m still not sure why the PlayStation version can’t be linked to a Mihoyo account so I could play on my phone when I’m not at home (PS Vita version please??) but it’s a small gripe to an otherwise terrific game.
