    The formula that Mr. Vogel and Co. have mastered here is, as before, how to combine fast-paced exploration with smart surprises that keep you guessing. Do yourself a favor and try this game, because as they say in Arkansas, "It's the gameplay, stupid."

    Graphics aside, Geneforge 2 is a terrific game to start with if you're fairly new to the RPG genre. It's easy to just dive in and start playing, and all the help you need is built into the interface - just a mouse-click away at all times. And the game's virtually bug-free. [Apr 2004, p.80]

    It's a good game, but if you haven't already, play Geneforge 1 before this game, it's ALOT more fun.     Not an amazing game, but its good for the genre and a positive game, certainly. I liked it but I was not swept off my feet.
