Wow! Was a shocker for me - i expected some crappy (ok, ok - not crappy, but definitely a light) game. Instead, i was sledged in the face with a colossus of depth and impressive proportions! Damn son, this game is awesome! It's not your usual Defense Tower - build-upgrade-win. Hell no! The game will kick your ass if you don't adapt! Try enabling them traits to get more XP and seeWow! Very impressive.

    HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

An improved version of Gemcraft Labyrinth, tougher, same variety of monsters and lore, smooth interface, atmospheric music and sounds, beating a map is quite a satisfaction and arises the need to come back to beat it at a higher difficulty level.
If you like TD, this is one game you need to play.

Perhaps, the only tower defense web game with a mature, engaging but not THAT serious storyline. Even it doesn’t surpass its predecessor “Labyrinth” it does represents an improvement of the genre. Better for new players rather than followers of the Gemcraft saga, it does makes worth the 5-year long waiting.

At the moment is GemCraft 2 chasing Shadows the best tower-defense game on the market. GC 2CS has so many layers of difficulty. From low level wizards to high level wizards you need really different strategies, only later, after a border on really high level you can run every match the same strategy. GC 2CS have for many hundreds hours stuff and achievements. For tower-defense fans an must have.

First of all, this game has only one good thing; menu soundtrack. and it is stolen from The Elder Scroll Skyrim. Unfortunately, there are no unique features about this game.
This game is far away from being a tower defense game. There is no sensible and reasonable thing. The game has strict routes that monsters mandatorily follow at the same time some monsters don't obey the rules. So,

This game is far away from being a tower defense game. There is no sensible and reasonable thing. The game has strict routes that monsters mandatorily follow at the same time some monsters don't obey the rules. So, want to ask, why did they create strict routes?
The progressing in the game is not progress. You can never feel you get level up. Map and battle selection is poor.
there is no awarding and punishing structure balance. actually, it has no awarding system. it depends on punishing mentality.
at the end; this game only wasting time and energy.

This is a pretty interesting and fun tower defense game and is quite long to complete, so should give you lots of playtime too.
