    Good DLC. Party AI still leaves much to be desired but played in 2 player coop. Takes about 3 hours to beat. Played it on Intermediate difficulty. Ultra settings, looks fantastic and runs smooth. 30 second unskippable splash intro and then about two minutes before it loads the menu. Snatchers still suck but at least it isn't like Gears 4. Xbox app and Windows Store app on PC stillGood DLC. Party AI still leaves much to be desired but played in 2 player coop. Takes about 3 hours to beat. Played it on Intermediate difficulty. Xbox app and Windows Store app on PC still suck for downloading games, on 300 internet and getting capped at 7.5 download speeds, despite using all tricks and workarounds that can be found (Xbox's support on this is terrible). Has an FoV slider, goes to 100 so could use an increase but a lot better than nothing.… Expand

    Utterly mediocre. Zero new ideas. Nonsensical "plot"/reasons for events happening. I experienced a bug when I started a new act, my weapons had all changed to other weapons. When I quit and reloaded my weapons were back just as I had in the previous act. The graphics are good and that is all I can say.

    That was really fun. I was busy with the DLC for a good 4 hours. The island you visit is visually outstanding, Gears 5 looks good anyway, but this DLC goes one better. The cut scenes are damn sharp and the characters are excellently modeled. In terms of gameplay, Gears 5 is fun anyway and here, too, you not only have pure firing, but also moments to relax. I played with Keegan.

The individual skills could have been made a bit more exciting in their upgrade versions, but let's see what comes next. I found the Mac skill to be pretty useless, because the AI ​​doesn't actually run around the barrier to your advantage.

    The Coalition spared no resources to bring us a story DLC that’s absolutely on par with the base game in every aspect. Hivebusters offers three highly enjoyable hours and left me hungry for more. [02/2021, p.53]
