    One of the best games, I think. It is original and creative. It interesting and unpredictable. At last, she is beautiful. I play every day. Lightens mood.

    Great game, good gameplay and it has a nice feeling to it. Although the gameplay can get repetitive after 15 hours, However they still put new stuff to the game.

    It's a Fun game!
    You Play through video game history,make consoles,projects,and MORE! I LOVE THIS GAME!

    Its also very cheap and also has Modding support so you can add MORE STUFF TO THE GAME!

    Its a good Game Altogether

    The game is good,but flawed. The game pretty much takes you through the gaming era from the 1980s- to present day. The game has a lot of strategy involved such as getting the games you devlop perfectly right to get good scores. The game does get extremely repetitive with the same controls and same everything . Really its good , but not great Tycoon- Strategy game. The graphics are plainlyThe game is good,but flawed. The game pretty much takes you through the gaming era from the 1980s- to present day. The game has a realistic outlook on how a game company runs and functions. But it's too simple and riddled with minor flaws. Overall the game is good and it gets a recommend purchase ,but note after a grand scheme of things it become quite boring.     Отличная игра которая рассказывает о истории игровой индустрии, и дает возможность посидеть в теле дизайнера. Но можно было сделать пару бесплатных аддонов, которые улучшат её.

    I like this game I have played it for hours on end. I don't know what else to say as there really isn't much to say if you are bored and have this game you will easily be entertained for hours

    I rly like that game i don't know if its similar to reality of being game developer but that game has a lot of diferent things to do. I played it 5h right now and i'm sure that there is still more than half of a game to play ;)

    A very underrated game. It is very addictive. It's one of those games where you just want to keep playing. You'll find yourself trying to get all 10's, or maybe you'll even get an 11 out of 10!
    The graphics could've been a little better, but they're not really important.

    I don't know if I would truly recommend this game but I can say if you like a game that has a lot of luck involved then you should get it. Even after following an in-dept guide on it I still did not revive perfect ratings on games. The whole challenge of this game is based on luck. The only skill involved in this game is playing so much that you know exactly how t build a game.

    Un juego bien planteado y entretenido. No tiene muchas opciones adicionales, ni una rejugabilidad, pero oye, llevar una compañía de videojuegos y putear a el público como nos hace EA o Ubisoft a nosotros, siempre mola.

    This has been my most recent addiction. This is the first game that I've played that has made me ignore phone calls, knocks on my doors and basically anything that happens in my everyday life. That game is Game Dev Tycoon.

    The way the game works is that you start off as a small indie developer who develops games in his garage and your main objective is to gain popularity and you do this by making popular and well received games (so basically don't be Digital Homicide.) You might be thinking this is easy as the game doesn't look that hard, but that's the thing. It is easy to be OK at it, it takes a few hours to be good but it takes alot to master. I played this game staright for one day and sank 13 hours into it in 1 day. You need to manage statistics and think what's more iportant in the genre of game that you're creating and if you focus too much on a certain subject, you will get worse reviews and worse sales, you also need to manage your marketing correctly to achiee better sales. There are tons of stuff you need to manage and despite me not being that much of a fan of strategy games, Game Dev Tycoon gets a pass as it's a really simple game and eas to use by any age.

    One criticism that I have about Game Dev Tycoon is it's "story." Now people that have already played Game Dev Tycoon, you might be thinking "There is no story in Game Dev Tycoon, I'm not sure what this idiot is talking baout." That's not entirely true. The developers of the game even say there is a story when you reach the end of the game. The problem is there doesn't seem to be much of a difference between the story mode and when you comlete the stroy except that there are no new consoles are coming out. So you could sort of say that the story is the evolution of the game industry but it's not because it disregards a few of the things that were essential and had a big impact on the game industry. Despite the story not being good or there being a lack of one, that was consumed by the addicting gameplay.

    Graphics aren't really something to write home about but they look decent showing some good 2D cartoon characters & locations that have been created in a way to give a 2.5D effect. I do have one complaint though. When I moved into my final office, at times the frame rate dropped into the single figures then going to 40 then dropping again to 30 and then going back to 60, this happened on a regular basis.

    I can guarantee you that when you start playing Game Dev Tycoon, you won't want to stop. It pulls you in and you keep on challenging yourself to see if you can make the absolute perfect game on your favourite platform. I was only able to manage this after developing 70 games, yeah so you're gonna needplenty of practice and have plenty of knowledge of what genres fit with each theme and which genre is best played on which console.

    I can tell that I'm going to be playing Game Dev tycoon more than you originally think you'll be laying it when first buying it and I recommend this to anybody that has a fascination with games as a whole.    … Expand

    This game is simulator create videogames . Game is addictive and this game takes you to the beginning computer age . Game Dev Tycoon is not awesome game , but cool . In this game can create any game . With poor graphics , but awesome gameplay , with good level design and terrible storyline and other . Can create game on any platforms if this platform born . Normal . 5/10 .

    Las cosas son bastante random y RNG, es muy fácil obtener calificaciones altas y al mismo tiempo es muy fácil conseguir calificaciones bajas. Sin embargo, el juego tiene su encanto y la mejor parte viene con los numerosos mods que mejoran la experiencia de juego y la complican.

    +Su sistema de algoritmos está bien hecho para se un juego indie, los puntos de diseño y tecnología reflejan bien como estamos yendo, si sabemos dominar el juego o si estamos jugando la primera vez, rara vez me llevé una sorpresa desagradable en mi puntaje. +Es un juego simple y -casual-, no te esperes nada increible o emocionante, pero eso a la vez te    SPANISH/STEAM ACCOUNT REVIEW.

    +Si estás interesado en la noticia del videojuego o sí naciste en los 80 o 90 (Nací en el año 2000, así que e vivido y sentido la época de la ps2 en adelante, no me juzgen), puede sacarte alguna que otra sonrisa
    +El juego en sí requiere que aprendas como hacer un buen juego si no queires irte a la bancarrota, pero eso no es difícil, lo difícil es hacer los logros como conseguir un 11/10, pero eso lo dejaré en segundo plano.

    Ahora los negativos...

    -Nada sorprendente, más alla de algunos mensajes inesperados ;)
    -Se puede volver monótono si haces la misma rutina
    -Al principio puede ser frustante, tener malas notas seguidas, ir en bancarrota y perder una parte de tu tiempo en un juego aburrido para el momento...
    -Despues de tener una buena fanbase, aunque hagas un juego con puntuacion 5 o 4 (Grande, no AAA) , aun recuperas ganancia, y eso puede ser poco desafiante y realista.

    le doy un 7/10 en general, es un buen juego a ratos, en mi caso le doy un 8.5/10 porque estoy sacando más leña porque de mís juegos con nota mayor a 8 le hago una mini historia con Metacritic y todo xD...
    Si quieres un buen simulador o un juego barato y que sea casual pero a la vez que te active, compra Gamedevtycoon y ayuda a una empresa en desarrollo :3 .    … Expand

    even though the graphics aren't very detailed, the music gets SO ANNOYING very quickly, and it may not have all the complexity's seen when developing a video game it still is one of my favorite tycoon games of all time. To start of it is very easy to jump into but later on in the game it adds more problems to balance, like taxes, marketing, pirating, and much much more. Also There are aeven though the graphics aren't very detailed, the music gets SO ANNOYING very quickly, and it may not have all the complexity's seen when developing a video game it still is one of my favorite tycoon games of all time. To start of it is very easy to jump into but later on in the game it adds more problems to balance, like taxes, marketing, pirating, and much much more. Also There are a decent amount of ways to go about your business in game dev that defiantly warrant a second play through. So ya It may not be the best teaching tool for someone who wants to become a game developer, and ya it may just be for people who have quite a fascination with video games but still there is a good chance that I am playing it right this second… Expand

But nevertheless, the game does get a bit boring, making new concepts up just to get mediocre reviews. Hell, even get straight 8's or 9's gets boring in a while. A bit more customisation would be greatly appreciated. All in all, ifA very simple concept, that is made well.     Once you have your first successful game published, the fun truly begins.     Once you have your first successful game published, the fun truly begins. Eventually you will have enough money for a new studio, and you can also spend it on research to improve your games. You're also able to make game reports of your older games to research on what you did right, and what you didn't do right. By doing this, you'll keep expanding and making games.

    Game Dev Tycoon does not get boring because the game keeps adding new mechanics (for example creating bigger games, more genres/platforms, events, developing your own console, etc) to keep you entertained.

    It's a great simulation and management game that is very easy to learn. It's easy to create decent games in this, but to really thrive you'll have to research your old games for information, which can help you to improve on new games.

    Recommended for anyone into business simulators or management games. It is an addicting and fun game.    … Expand

    Su temática es sencilla, levantar tu empresa de videojuegos desde sus inicios, donde los primeros juegos eran de texto, hasta la actual generación de consolas. Por el camino podremos hacer juegos para todas y cada una de las consolas y ordenadores,    Un juego curioso donde revivir la historia de la industria del videojuego desde los años 80 desde el punto de vista de un desarrollador.

    Su temática es sencilla, levantar tu empresa de videojuegos desde sus inicios, donde los primeros juegos eran de texto, hasta la actual generación de consolas. Por el camino podremos hacer juegos para todas y cada una de las consolas y ordenadores, investigar nuevas tecnologías (gráficos, temáticas de juego, generos, mejoras generales, etc.), mudarnos a locales más grandes, contratar personas, aceptar encargos de otras compañías...

    Sin embargo tiene algunas carencias, como falta de contenido. Se me hace raro no tener una opción de poder empezar siendo una compañía grande (para competir desde un inicio con Nintendo o Sega), tener la posibilidad de crear ciertos "chismes" (Virtual Boy, Guitar Hero...) o tener competidores.

    El juego es entretenido, divertido y te puede dar muchas horas, pero como he dicho anteriormente, veo que faltan ciertas cosas, cosas que se pueden perdonar a una compañía joven como Greenheart Games, que sin duda a comenzado con buen pie con Game Dev Tycoon.    … Expand

    I'm not a big fan of Tycoon-Games, but this one i actually played for hours. Very simple, easy to understand. I don't know if they copied from other games (like i said, i never played other (Dev-)Tycoon Games), but i actually don't care. It's a fun game, besides the fact, that the rating system is sometimes the definition of luck.

    Conclusion: Fun, simple game with a luck-problem.

Gameplay, however, can get shallow after your first run through the game, and overall lacks important depth to have your company truly feel unique.     This is a good game, but for 10 bucks i feel its short, i finished it in a few hours which is kinda lame. its a good game otherwise, its fun to make your own games and even if you beat it you can still grow your company. buy it in a sale, not full price

    Taking into account the quite low price and the almost non-existent technical requirements, Game Dev Tycoon is a good and above all original game, albeit without great pretensions.
