Jun 17, 2025Some of the power-ups are fun, like spawning small fighters or missiles, but the core loop of Galactic Glitch is simply far too repetitious, the upgrades are too slow, the meta-progression is glacial, and any driving factor to continue is non-existent. The idea could have been fine, but everything previously mentioned needed major overhauls and pretty much could be summed up by "needing cooler stuff faster" at every stage of the game.

Jun 2, 2025Galactic Glitch is a twin-stick shooter roguelite in which you control an AI in the form of a spaceship trapped in a corrupted simulation. The gameplay focuses on physics to grab and throw objects, enemies, and projectiles, using mass and inertia for chain attacks, even taking advantage of friendly fire from opponents. Each run allows you to upgrade weapons, ships, and perks, but only after defeating certain bosses. More difficult than average, it rewards skill and perseverance rather than simply farming resources.

Sep 10, 2024Galactic Glitch surprised me by providing many hours of fun in a genre that I'm usually not interested in. Its elegant design, addictive gameplay, and unique mechanics make it stand out, even though the meta-progression and balance in later levels could use some fine-tuning. Coming from someone who does not usually go for roguelike and roguelite games, I was hooked within the first 15 minutes and had a blast throwing rocks at my enemies.
